Abstract

This study investigated the development, characteristics, and effectiveness of a 4C-based Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) assessment in enhancing sixth-grade students’ critical thinking abilities in mathematics learning at elementary schools in Kudus. Specifically, the objectives were: (1) to formulate a 4C-based HOTS assessment design aimed at improving students’ critical thinking skills; (2) to describe the defining characteristics of the developed 4C-based HOTS assessment; and (3) to analyze its effectiveness in improving students’ critical thinking abilities. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach by adapting the Borg and Gall development model, which consists of ten systematic stages. The field trial involved 73 sixth-grade students, comprising 37 students from SD 1 and SD 2 Gribig as the experimental group and 36 students from SD 1 and SD 3 Klumpit as the control group. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, tests, and interviews. To determine effectiveness, data were analyzed using gain score analysis and t-tests at a significance level of 0.05. The results indicated that the developed HOTS assessment based on the 4C framework possessed seven main characteristics: (1) measuring higher-order thinking skills, (2) promoting divergent thinking, (3) utilizing multiple representations, (4) incorporating contextual and problem-based situations, (5) applying varied questioning techniques, (6) assessing communication skills, and (7) evaluating collaboration skills. Statistical analysis demonstrated that the 4C-based HOTS assessment was effective in improving students’ critical thinking abilities and learning outcomes. This was evidenced by an increase in the average critical thinking score of the experimental group to 80.59, categorized as moderate, and an increase in the average learning outcome score to 89.05, also within the moderate category. In conclusion, the implementation of a 4C-based HOTS assessment significantly enhanced sixth-grade students’ critical thinking abilities in mathematics learning at elementary schools in Kudus, thereby supporting the integration of 21st-century skills within assessment practices.

Abstract

The research aimed to: (1) describe the teachers' teaching patterns during the Covid-19 pandemic; (2) describe the students' learning patterns at home during the Covid-19 pandemic; (3) describe the role of parents in assisting students to study at home during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was a type of field research. The respondents and subjects in this research were students and their parents from grade I to grade V at SDN Ngelowetan, Kecamatan Mijen, Kabupaten Demak. The instruments used in this research were interview guidelines and document checklists. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were then analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis, which included data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the study revealed that: (1) teachers conducted online teaching through WhatsApp and YouTube applications. In WhatsApp, teachers formed a group for each class, while on YouTube, teachers created a YouTube channel containing learning videos; (2) students' learning patterns at home included guided learning patterns, auditory-visual learning patterns, and problem-solving learning patterns. These learning patterns were strategies used by students to solve problems given by the teacher; (3) the role of parents in accompanying students’ learning at home included supervising learning activities, supervising the use of learning time, and helping children overcome learning difficulties.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of brand image in mediating service quality and promotion of car purchase decisions on credit during the Covid-19 period at PT Maybank Indonesia Finance. This research was conducted by using the probability sampling method with the type of simple random sampling. Researchers distributed questionnaires to 100 Maybank Finance consumer respondents in DKI Jakarta and Tangerang. Data analysis using Smart PLS analysis. The results of the analysis conclude that service quality has a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. It can be said, good service quality will affect the decision to buy a car on credit at Maybank Finance. The promotion has a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. It can be said that the company's promotions will influence the decision to purchase a car on credit at Maybank Finance. Service quality has a positive and significant influence on brand image. Good service quality will form a good brand image in the minds of consumers. The promotion has a positive and significant influence on brand image. If the promotion is increasing, it will affect the company's brand image. Brand image has a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. A good brand image will influence the decision to buy a car on credit at Maybank Finance. Brand image is also proven to have a role in mediating service quality on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Abstract: Information Technology (IT) has played a crucial role in various sectors, including the transportation sector, as seen in the Department of Transportation of Asahan Regency, North Sumatra. One of the challenges in this area is the performance of parking attendants, which affects the effectiveness of parking management and traffic safety. Poor performance of parking attendants can cause various issues, including traffic congestion, rule violations, and user discomfort. Therefore, evaluating the performance of parking attendants is essential to improve service quality and parking safety. In this context, the implementation of a technology-based information system is an appropriate solution to enhance the effectiveness of the performance evaluation process for parking attendants. Classification methods, such as k-nearest neighbor (KNN), are used to evaluate the performance of parking attendants more accurately and efficiently. This method allows early detection of poor performance, such as fraud or traffic rule violations, and provides feedback for improvements. The primary goal is to measure effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and recognize parking attendants with good performance. Abstrak: Teknologi Informasi (TI) telah memainkan peran penting dalam berbagai sektor, termasuk sektor transportasi, seperti yang terlihat pada Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Asahan, Sumatera Utara. Salah satu tantangan di wilayah ini adalah kinerja juru parkir yang mempengaruhi efektivitas pengelolaan parkir dan keselamatan lalu lintas. Kinerja juru parkir yang kurang optimal dapat menimbulkan berbagai masalah, termasuk kemacetan, pelanggaran aturan, dan ketidaknyamanan pengguna parkir. Oleh karena itu, penilaian kinerja juru parkir menjadi sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan dan keamanan parkir. Dalam konteks ini, penerapan sistem informasi berbasis teknologi menjadi solusi yang tepat untuk meningkatkan efektivitas proses penilaian kinerja juru parkir. Metode klasifikasi, seperti k-nearest neighbor (KNN), digunakan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja juru parkir dengan lebih akurat dan efisien. Metode ini memungkinkan deteksi dini terhadap kinerja buruk, seperti penipuan atau pelanggaran aturan lalu lintas, serta memberikan umpan balik untuk perbaikan. Tujuan utamanya adalah mengukur efektivitas, mengidentifikasi area perbaikan, dan memberikan apresiasi bagi juru parkir yang memiliki kinerja baik. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penerapan Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Berbantuan Media Ajar Digital untuk meningkatkan disposisi berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan Juli sampai dengan Bulan Agustus tahun 2024 bertempat di SMP Negeri 4 Bengkulu Selatan. Pada penelitian ini desain atau rancangan yang digunakan adalah non-equivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Bengkulu Selatan. Pada penelitian ini sampel yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas VIIIA dan VIIIB berjumlah 44 siswa. Instrumen penelitian adalah suatu alat yang digunakan mengukur fenomena alam maupun sosial yang diamati. Tehnik Pengumpulan Data : Teknik Observasi Keterlaksanaan Pembelajaran dan Tes Instrument Disposisi Berpikir Kritis (Soal Test dan angket). Metode analisis data yang digunakan peneliti adalah Uji T. Proses pengolahan data menggunakan SPSS 20. Adapun hasil kriteria respons siswa mencapai 88,72 %, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa respons siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA materi sistem gerak pada manusia menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan media ajar digital Untuk Meningkatkan Disposisi Berpikir Kritis Siswa adalah positif. Sedangkan Hasil Uji T. Diperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0.000 < 0.05 yang artinya bahwa Terdapat Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajran Inkuiri Berbantuan Media Ajar Digital Untuk Meningkatkan Disposisi Berpikir Kritis Siswa   Kata Kunci : Pembelajaran Inkuiri,  Media Digital, Disposisi Berpikir Kritis Siswa

Abstract

Micro and small enterprises (MSEs) play a strategic role in local economic development, yet they continue to face challenges in market access, digital literacy, and managerial effectiveness. This study aims to explore the technical assistance provided by university students to IM3 business partners in enhancing product management, digital marketing strategies, and distribution systems in the Talang Babat region. Employing a qualitative approach with a phenomenological strategy, the research draws on primary data from participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of Field Experience Practice activities. The findings reveal that collaborative engagement between academia and industry significantly improves partners’ understanding of telecommunications products, strengthens social media-based promotional strategies, and optimizes inventory tracking and product distribution. The interaction among students, business partners, and service providers fosters a productive synergy in building a local business ecosystem responsive to communication technologies. This study contributes to the development of a replicable MSE assistance model grounded in the Triple Helix framework and phenomenological inquiry, offering practical implications for educational institutions, industry stakeholders, and policymakers in designing more contextual and sustainable MSE empowerment strategies.

Abstract

Orang tua memiliki peran utama dalam mendukung tumbuh kembang dan keberhasilan pendidikan anak, khususnya pada usia sekolah dasar. Tahap ini menuntut kesiapan orang tua untuk meningkatkan peran pengasuhan, dukungan emosional, serta pemenuhan kebutuhan anak secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kesiapan peningkatan menjadi orang tua pada orang tua dengan anak usia sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan accidental sampling dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 44 orang tua siswa sekolah dasar. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner daring yang mengukur kesiapan peningkatan menjadi orang tua meliputi keinginan meningkatkan peran, dukungan emosi dan perhatian, kepuasan lingkungan rumah, kemampuan mengungkapkan harapan, serta pemenuhan kebutuhan fisik anak. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki kesiapan peningkatan menjadi orang tua dalam kategori positif (52,27%), sedangkan 47,73% berada pada kategori negatif. Subvariabel dengan proporsi kategori positif tertinggi adalah keinginan meningkatkan peran (61,36%), diikuti dukungan emosi dan perhatian (59,09%). Kesiapan peningkatan menjadi orang tua pada orang tua dengan anak usia sekolah dasar secara umum berada dalam kategori positif, namun masih diperlukan upaya peningkatan terutama pada aspek pemenuhan kebutuhan fisik dan pengungkapan harapan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of differentiated learning in the practice of Pancasila values in elementary school students. A descriptive qualitative research method was used, with data collection techniques including classroom observations, teacher interviews, and documentation of students' learning outcomes at three different elementary schools. The results showed that teachers consistently applied differentiated learning by adjusting the content, process, product, and learning environment according to the students' needs. This approach successfully enhanced students' active involvement, learning motivation, and character development in alignment with the values of Pancasila. Differentiated learning has characteristics that align with supporting learning theories, such as Piaget's cognitive development theory, Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) theory, Kohlberg's theory of moral development, and Bruner's constructivist theory, which indicate that differentiated learning can be applied in the development of cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and character aspects that reflect Pancasila values through Civics Education (PPKn). However, there are some challenges, such as the implementation of initial assessments, limited time, and learning resources that need attention. This study provides implications for the development of effective and enjoyable Civics Education strategies at the elementary school level.
