Abstract

Masih rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dan disposisi berpikir kritis siswa menjadi tantangan dalam proses pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, diterapkanlah model pembelajaran Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual (SAVI) guna mengembangkan kedua aspek tersebut pada materi rasio di kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Kota Pontianak. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif degan desain nonequivalent posttest-only control group. Dalam pelaksanaannya, data diperoleh melalui dua bentuk instrumen, yakni instrumen berbasis tes serta non-tes. Adapun tes terdiri atas soal uraian sebanyak 2 soal dan non-tes berupa angket disposisi berpikir kritis sebanyak 28 pernyataan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji t-test untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis, uji Mann-Whitney U untuk disposisi berpikir kritis, serta analisis effect size untuk mengukur besarnya pengaruh model SAVI. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran SAVI pada kemampuan dan disposisi berpikir kritis siswa, yang mana terlihat dari rerata nilai kemampuan dan disposisi berpikir kritis siswa yang mendapatkan pengajaran dengan model SAVI lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang mendapatkan pengajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Hasil perhitungan effect size memperlihatkan bahwa model SAVI mempunyai tingkat pengaruh yang besar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, namun pengaruhnya terhadap disposisi berpikir kritis tergolong kecil. Dengan demikian, model SAVI dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk menunjang peningkatan kemampuan serta disposisi berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Critical thinking ability are important for facing challenges in the 21st century. There are ways to foster critical thinking ability, one of which is through mathematics using learning media. This paper provides an overview of how to foster critical thinking ability, especially among students who used to learn media AljabarMath. This study aims to describe the level of students’ critical thinking ability in mathematics especially algebra subject grades VII SMP Negeri 10 Pontianak by using the AljabarMath. The method used is quantitative descriptive research. Data analysis was done to determine the percentage of critical thinking ability achieved based on indicators measured following the use of AljabarMath. The findings show that: 1) 68% of students were able to comprehend and articulate the purpose of a problem by identifying what was known and asked; 2) 64% of students were able to make a mathematical model in order to identify the relationship between statements, questions, and concepts given in the questions indicated.; 3) students who demonstrated the ability to assess the veracity of statements using the appropriate technique by 64%; and 4) students who demonstrated the ability to make accurate conclusions by taking into account pertinent information and the implications of a problem based on the available data by 62%. The utilization of AljabarMath can enhance students' critical thinking ability in algebra classes, according to the study's findings.

Abstract

One of the strategies to respond the formative assessment results is corrective feedback. Through corrective feedback, it can be verified and elaborated the part of each items where an error occurs which must be reviewed and corrected by students based on the signs given. The purpose of this research is to review the effect of corrective feedback on formative evaluation and mathematics self-esteem on student’s mathematics learning outcome on junior high school by controlling the prior mathematics knowledge of students. The samples were 120 seventh grade students in junior high school on first semester chosen by using random sampling. The method in this research is quasi experiment by using the design of treatment by level 2 × 2. Data were analyzed by using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA). After controlling the prior mathematics knowledge of students, in general, direct corrective feedback was more suited to increase mathematics learning outcomes on junior high school student than indirect corrective feedback. There was an interaction effect on providing corrective feedback and self-esteem on the mathematics learning outcomes.  For the student who have high self-esteem, indirect corrective feedback is more suitable to increase mathematics learning outcomes while for the students who have low self-esteem, direct corrective feedback is more suitable to increase mathematics learning outcomes. It is recommended to the mathematics teachers to provide corrective feedback after provision of formative assessment in their class.

Abstract

Changes in the mathematics education curriculum affect the preparation of prospective teachers to learn as well as possible and provide extensive opportunities and experiences regarding mathematical proof in secondary schools, especially those reflecting the nature and role of proof in the field of mathematics. Teachers' ability to respond to this depends on their understanding of proof in a mathematical context. This research examined the understanding of 36 prospective mathematics teachers at Tanjungpura University regarding proof and their ability to prove problems in the context of high school mathematics. The data were collected through a series of interviews focused on their responses to the role of proof and from tests to prove math problems. This research is descriptive-analytical research, which describes the conception of prospective mathematics teachers as knowledgeable in mathematics about proof. However, some view proof as a tool for studying mathematics. This research also found that many of them had a limited view of the nature of proof. They lacked a clear understanding of the subject of demonstrating or explaining the process of proving a mathematical statement.

Abstract

This Community Service Activity began with a discussion between the mathematics education study program lecturers, the faculty of teaching and educational sciences at Tanjungpura University, and the chairman of the Kubu Raya Subject Teachers' Conference about the rapid development of technology, especially in mathematics learning. Through this discussion, it was found that many teachers still need to utilize technology in teaching mathematics. One technology that is often used in mathematics learning is GeoGebra. GeoGebra is an application with various features that can be used to explain concepts and numbers in mathematics learning, such as plane geometry, space geometry, algebra, etc. Therefore, teachers need technology-related training to assist in learning, especially GeoGebra. Mastery of this technology is an unavoidable demand, and it also plays a role in improving education in Indonesia, especially in West Kalimantan. This training was held on 8 August 2024, with a total of forty-five participants consisting of thirty-five mathematics teachers from various junior high schools in Kubu Raya, three mathematics education students, and seven lecturers at the Tanjungpura University mathematics education study program. This training aims to increase teachers' motivation and ability to use GeoGebra in mathematics learning. The outputs produced in this activity are 1) implementation of training, 2) publication of documentary video activities on social media, and 3) activity reports.

Abstract

Matematika secara luas dianggap sebagai mata pelajaran yang sangat memberatkan bagi siswa karena sifatnya yang abstrak dan kurangnya keterkaitan dengan konteks nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh penerapan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) yang dipadukan dengan teknologi, khususnya video animasi berbasis Powtoon dan Lembar Kerja Siswa Elektronik (E-LKPD) melalui Liveworksheet, terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode quasi-eksperimen dengan model Nonequivalent Control Group. Partisipan terdiri atas 350 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling, dengan kriteria kelas berprestasi akademik lebih rendah. Kelas VII K ditetapkan sebagai kelompok eksperimen (menggunakan RME dan teknologi), sedangkan Kelas VII B sebagai kelompok kontrol (pembelajaran konvensional). Instrumen penelitian berupa tes sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil pengujian statistik dengan independent samples t-test memperlihatkan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok (p = 0,04; p < 0,05), dengan keunggulan pemahaman pada kelompok eksperimen. Analisis effect size memperoleh nilai 0,69 (kategori sedang), membuktikan bahwa integrasi RME dan teknologi secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual matematika siswa. Temuan ini menegaskan urgensi inovasi pedagogis berbasis teknologi untuk mengatasi kesenjangan pembelajaran, khususnya dalam pendidikan matematika.

Abstract

Salah satu yang dapat mempengaruhi terbangunnya keterampilan berfikir kreatif adalah scientific attitudes seseorang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (a) Mendeskripsikan profil scientific attitudes mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan matematika, (b) Mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan matematika, (c) Menguji keterkaitan antara scientific attitudes dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif mahasiswa. Aspek kelancaran, aspek keaslian dan aspek kerincian termasuk kategori tinggi. Sedangkan aspek keluwesan termasuk pada kategori sedang. Bentuk penelitian menggunakan mixed methods dengan status sepadan yaitu menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sedangkan sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang tidak mengulang pada mata kuliah penilaian proses dan hasil pembelajaran matematika tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik klaster random sampling. Pengujian hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi Kendall Tau. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat keterkaitan yang erat antara scientific attitudes dengan kemampuan berfikir kreatif mahasiswa pada perkuliahan penilaian proses dan hasil belajar matematika. One that can affect the development of creative thinking skills is a person's scientific attitude. The aims of this study were (a) to describe the scientific attitude profile of students in the Mathematics Education Study Program, (b) to describe the creative thinking skills of students in the Mathematics Education Study Program, (c) to test the relationship between scientific attitudes and students' creative thinking skills. Aspects of fluency, aspects of creativity, and aspects of fact are included in the high category. In comparison, the aspect of flexibility is included in the medium category. This form of research uses mixed methods with commensurate status, namely using a qualitative descriptive approach and a quantitative approach. Meanwhile, the research sample was students who did not repeat the mathematics learning process and results in the 2022/2023 school year assessment course. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. Testing the research hypothesis using Kendall Tau correlation analysis. The results of hypothesis testing show a close relationship between scientific attitudes and students' creative thinking abilities in the process assessment lectures and mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Rasa ingin tahu dan rasa percaya diri merupakan faktor internal peserta didik yang berperan dalam memengaruhi proses serta hasil belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengaruh rasa percaya diri dan rasa ingin tahu terhadap hasil belajar matematika dalam pembelajaran daring, baik secara teoritis maupun empiris. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ini adalah survei dengan pendekatan korelasional. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 71 mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif dan inferensial. Analisis inferensial mencakup uji korelasi sederhana Pearson’s Product Moment dan korelasi ganda dengan dua prediktor, setelah memenuhi syarat normalitas dan linearitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika mahasiswa belum memuaskan, dengan lebih dari 50,70% mahasiswa memperoleh nilai di bawah 61. Selain itu, diketahui juga bahwa rasa ingin tahu (X1) memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar (Y), Rasa percaya diri (X2) juga berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar (Y), dan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara rasa ingin tahu (X1) dan rasa percaya diri (X2) terhadap hasil belajar (Y).Curiosity and self-confidence are internal factors of students that play a role in influencing the learning process and outcomes. This research aims to describe the influence of self-confidence and curiosity on mathematics learning outcomes in online learning, both theoretically and empirically. The research method used is a survey with a correlational approach. The research subjects consisted of 71 students from the mathematics education study program. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and inferential methods. Inferential analysis includes a simple Pearson's Product Moment correlation test and multiple correlation with two predictors, after fulfilling the normality and linearity requirements. The research results show that students' mathematics learning outcomes are not satisfactory, with more than 50.70% of students getting a score below 61. In addition, it is also known that curiosity (X1) has a significant influence on learning outcomes (Y), self-confidence (X2) also influences learning outcomes (Y), and there is a significant relationship between curiosity (X1) and self-confidence (X2) on learning outcomes (Y).

Abstract

Kajian ini membahas terkait deskripsi kemampuan penalaran induktif siswa yang ditinjau dari kecerdasan emosional. Kemampuan penalaran induktif siswa yang masih rendah diduga dipengaruhi salah satunya oleh keadaan emosi yang ada pada diri siswa. Maka perlu adanya kajian guna mengungkapkan kemampuan penalaran induktif ditinjau dari kecerdasan emosional pada tingkat tinggi, sedang dan rendah yang ada pada siswa saat menjawab soal. Metode yang digunakan yakni deskriptif berbentuk survei dengan subjek sebanyak 29 siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. Data diperoleh melalui teknik komunikasi langsung dan tidak langsung, serta pengukuran dengan tertulis dengan alat bantu berupa angket kecerdasan emosional, tes kemampuan penalaran induktif dan wawancara. Data selanjutnya diolah dengan mengumpulkan, mereduksi, menyajikan dan menyimpulkan. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu siswa pada tingkat kecerdasan emosional tinggi dan sedang memiliki kecenderungan dapat memenuhi kedua indikator kemampuan penalaran induktif yakni kemampuan menganalisis dari pola hubungan guna membuat dugaan (conjecture) dan kemampuan melakukan generalisasi dari pengamatan pada sejumlah data. Namun, tidak ditemukan siswa dengan tingkat kecerdasan emosional rendah.AbstractThis study discusses the description of students' inductive reasoning abilities in terms of emotional intelligence. Students' inductive reasoning abilities are still low, and it is suspected that one of them is influenced by the emotional state of students. So, it is necessary to have a study to reveal inductive reasoning abilities in terms of emotional intelligence at high, medium and low levels that exist in students when answering questions. The method used was descriptive in the form of a survey with 29 students in class VIII B at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya as subjects. Data were obtained through direct and indirect communication techniques and written measurements with tools such as emotional intelligence questionnaires, tests of inductive reasoning abilities and interviews. The data is then processed by collecting, reducing, presenting and concluding. The results are that students at high and moderate levels of emotional intelligence tend to fulfill the two indicators of inductive reasoning ability, the ability to analyze patterns of relationships to make conjectures and the ability to generalize from observations on several data. However, no students with low emotional intelligence were found.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan kelancaran prosedur matematis siswa bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan minat belajar peserta didik setelah  penggunakan LKPD terintegrasi nilai- nilai keislaman (2) mendeskripsikan hasil belajar trigonometri peserta didik setelah penggunaan LKPD terintegrasi nilai-nilai keislaman. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pre-experiment design bentuk the one shot case study.Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XA di SMA Negeri 1 Matan Hilir Utara yang berjumlah 26 orang . instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket minat dan tes hasil belajar. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial dengan uji t one sample t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Hasil belajar siswa setelah penggunaan LKPD terintegrasi nilai nilai keislaman dalam pembelajaran materi trigonometri pada siswa kelas XA SMA Negeri 1 Matan Hilir Utara telah mencapai kriteria ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran (KKTP). Hal ini ditunjukan dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa sebesar 81,73 dari 26 siswa dan siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan  adalah sebanyak 23 siswa dengan persentase 89 %. Hal ini juga ditunjukan dengan nilai-nilai probabilitas atau P-value pada kolom Shapiro-wilk sebesar 0,066 lebih dari α = 0,05 dan nilai probabilitas atau P-value pada kolom Kolmogorov-Smirnova sebesar 0,096 lebih dari α = 0,05, berarti nilai rata-rata siswa kelas XA SMA Negeri 1 Matan Hilir Utara setelah diterapkan penggunaan LKPD Terintegrasi nilai-nilai keislaman dalam pembelajaran materi trigonometri lebih dari KKTP .(2) Menunjukan minat belajar yang tinggi terhadap penggunaan LKPD terintegrasi nilai-nilai keislaman dalam pembelajaran materi trigonometri. Siswa merasa bersemangat dalam belajar matematika,merasa senang , aktif dan mempermudah dalam memahami materi pelajaran. Hal ini ditunjukan  dengan rata-rata minat belajar siswa sebesar 81,54 % dan tergolong  tinggi.
