Abstract

This study is motivated by indications of low work discipline and work spirit among employees of the Tourism Office of North Kolaka Regency, as reflected in late attendance, absenteeism, and frequent leave submissions. Such conditions potentially affect employee performance and the overall achievement of organizational work programs. Leadership therefore plays a crucial role in shaping employee behavior, performance, and organizational work culture. This research aims to identify the leadership style applied by the Head of the Tourism Office in managing the tourism sector, to examine its influence on employee performance and work program achievement, and to analyze its impact on organizational work culture. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using an inductive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the Head of the Tourism Office applies a character-based leadership style, characterized by exemplary behavior, discipline enforcement, continuous evaluation, and direct guidance to employees. This leadership style positively influences employee performance, supports the successful implementation of work programs, and fosters a more disciplined and responsible work culture within the organization. The study concludes that character leadership is an effective leadership approach in improving employee performance and organizational effectiveness in the public sector.

Abstract

This article examines the values ​​of Sufism as the foundation of tolerance and brotherhood in a multicultural society. Sufism, or Sufism, is a spiritual dimension of Islam that emphasizes the purification of the soul through love, humility, and simplicity. In the context of a diverse society, Sufism promotes the values ​​of universal love, sincerity, and ihsan as an important basis for building tolerance and social cohesion. These values ​​form a dialogical attitude that respects differences as common wealth, in accordance with the principle of multiculturalism that prioritizes diversity. This study aims to identify and analyze the role of Sufism values ​​in building social harmony in a pluralistic society. The research method used is a library approach, through the analysis of various written sources, such as books and scientific journals, to understand the concept of Sufism values ​​and their application in a social context. The results of the analysis show that Sufism not only functions as an individual spiritual practice, but also as an effective social tool to promote peace, universal brotherhood, and acceptance of diversity. In conclusion, Sufism makes a significant contribution in strengthening tolerance and appreciation for cultural diversity, creating sustainable harmony within society.

Abstract

AbstrakSektor hortikultura, khususnya tanaman hias Aglaonema, memiliki nilai ekonomi penting. Namun, Hend'z Florist sebagai salah satu penyedia Aglaonema menghadapi fluktuasi penjualan, yang mengindikasikan adanya berbagai faktor yang memengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh faktor budaya, sosial, pribadi, psikologis, dan pencarian variasi terhadap keputusan pembelian tanaman hias Aglaonema di Hend'z Florist. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei, mengumpulkan data dari 80 responden melalui kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan, kelima variabel berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian (Adj. R² = 68,2%). Secara parsial, faktor pribadi (Sig. <0,05), psikologis (Sig. <0,05), dan pencarian variasi (Sig. <0,05) berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, sedangkan faktor budaya dan sosial tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa keputusan pembelian lebih dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal konsumen, sehingga strategi pemasaran Hend'z Florist lebih berfokus pada personalisasi produk, pengayaan variasi jenis Aglaonema, serta komunikasi nilai estetika dan manfaatnya.Kata kunci: Aglaonema, budaya, keputusan pembelian, pribadi, psikologis, pencarian variasiAbstractThe horticultural sector, particularly Aglaonema ornamental plants, holds significant economic value. However, Hend'z Florist, as a supplier of Aglaonema, faces sales fluctuations, indicating that various factors influence consumer purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyze the influence of cultural, social, personal, psychological, and variety-seeking factors on the purchase decision of Aglaonema ornamental plants at Hend'z Florist. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method, collecting data from 80 respondents through questionnaires. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that, simultaneously, the five variables had a significant effect on the purchase decision (Adj. R² = 68.2%). Partially, personal (Sig. <0.05), psychological (Sig. <0.05), and variety-seeking (Sig. <0.05) factors had a significant positive effect, while cultural and social factors had no significant effect. It is concluded that purchasing decisions are more influenced by the consumer's internal factors. Therefore, it is recommended that Hend'z Florist's marketing strategies focus more on product personalization, enriching the variety of Aglaonema types, and communicating their aesthetic value and benefits.Keywords: Aglaonema, culture, personal, purchase decision, psychological, variety seeking.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing educational innovation in Bahodopi District, Morowali Regency. The research focuses on government policy support, community participation, resource limitations, and the socio-economic conditions of the local community in implementing educational innovations. A qualitative research method with a case study approach was employed. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving policymakers, educators, and local community members. The findings reveal that government policies, both at the central and regional levels, play a strategic role in creating a framework that supports educational innovation. Community participation, through financial support and volunteer efforts, also strengthens the implementation of educational programs. However, challenges such as limited resources and infrastructure, as well as socio-economic conditions, hinder the optimization of educational innovation. Therefore, collaboration among the government, community, and other stakeholders is necessary to overcome these challenges and enhance the quality of education in the region.

Abstract

This study examines the quality of the learning environment at SMP Negeri 2 Kolaka Utara by analyzing the interaction between structural, pedagogical, and socio-economic factors within a rural public secondary school context. Employing a qualitative research design, data were collected through in-depth interviews and document analysis involving the school principal, teachers, and parents, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that limitations in educational infrastructure, uneven development of teachers’ professional competencies, low parental engagement, and students’ socio-economic constraints jointly shape the learning environment and hinder its optimal development. Rather than functioning as isolated issues, these factors form an interconnected system that influences teaching effectiveness and student learning experiences. This study highlights that improvements in learning environment quality require an integrated, multi-stakeholder approach that aligns school management practices, teacher capacity development, and community participation. The novelty of this research lies in its holistic analytical framework, which moves beyond single-factor explanations by demonstrating how multiple dimensions simultaneously affect learning environments in rural secondary schools. The study contributes to educational management and school improvement literature by providing empirical insights that support context-responsive and sustainable strategies for enhancing learning environments in under-resourced educational settings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi dan dampak Kurikulum Merdeka terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Kolaka Utara. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi untuk menggali pengalaman subjektif dari guru, siswa, dan orang tua di tiga sekolah dasar, yaitu SDN 6 Lasusua, SDN 9 Lasusua, dan SDN 15 Lasusua. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola yang muncul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kurikulum Merdeka secara signifikan mendukung pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan kontekstual. Namun, efektivitasnya dipengaruhi oleh pelatihan guru, ketersediaan teknologi, dan keterlibatan komunitas. Para pendidik memiliki persepsi positif terhadap kurikulum ini, meskipun menekankan perlunya dukungan sumber daya yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya kolaborasi antara sekolah, orang tua, dan komunitas untuk mendukung keberhasilan Kurikulum Merdeka. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan baru untuk pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan di masa depan.

Abstract

The sustainability of education in the digital era requires continuous improvement in teachers’ digital competencies supported by effective school leadership. This study aims to examine the management practices of school principals in enhancing the digital competence of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers through a case study at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 7 and MIN 10 Banda Aceh, Indonesia. A mixed-methods approach with a descriptive design was employed, integrating quantitative and qualitative data. Data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews involving the principals and all teachers engaged in digital learning at both schools, totaling ten participants. The findings reveal that the principals systematically planned and implemented annual programs to strengthen teachers’ digital competence, including digital skills training, educational seminars, teacher workshops, Digital Teacher Working Group (Kelompok Kerja Guru/KKG) activities, reward systems for outstanding teachers, and expanded access to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resources. Continuous monitoring and evaluation ensured that these programs were implemented effectively according to the annual plans. However, implementation faced challenges related to limited financial resources and inadequate educational facilities and technological infrastructure. The study highlights the crucial role of school principals in fostering teachers’ digital competence and supporting sustainable digital transformation in Islamic primary education.
