Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran yang dirancang untuk kegiatan belajar di sekolah seringkali lebih mengacu pada pengembangan otak. Sementara itu untuk bisa hidup sukses otak hanya menyumbang sebesar 20 %, sisanya lebih banyak ditentukan oleh sikap dan kebiasaan (karakter). Kesulitan guru selama ini adalah mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis karakter. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dilakukan pelatihan perancangan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis karakter bagi guru-guru matematika Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada guru matematika yang tergabung dalam kelompok Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran Matematika Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Melalui kegiatan ini dilatihkan kemampuan merancang rencana pembelajaran yang lebih mengacu pada kegiatan siswa, menyiapkan lembar kerja siswa dan lembar penilaian yang sesuai. Kegiatan dilakukan dalam bentuk berbagi informasi, diskusi dan workshop Pada akhir kegiatan pelatihan dihasilkan beberapa rancangan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran yang sesuai.

Abstract

Literasi matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan terpenting yang harus dimiliki oleh peserta didik. Namun, pada kenyataannya, kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik Indonesia masih perlu ditingkatkan. Dalam melakukan hal tersebut, salah satu solusinya adalah menggunakan pendekatan etnomatematika dalam proses pembelajaran matematika di kelas. Sebagai bagian dari solusi, penelitian ini menyajikan pandangan yang berbeda, yaitu tren penelitian etnomatematika sebagai solusi untuk meningkatkan literasi matematis peserta didik dan mencari tahu jenis penelitian apa yang paling berdampak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tinjauan pustaka sistematis dengan melakukan Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hanya terdapat 8 penelitian yang berkaitan dengan “etnomatematika” dan “literasi matematis” pada jurnal terkemuka di Indonesia (sangat sedikit). Selanjutnya, tren penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian kualitatif masih menjadi tren nomor 1 dan penelitian pengembangan menjadi jenis penelitian yang paling efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran komunikasi interpersonal antara guru dan siswa dengan status student-athlete dalam mempengaruhi minat belajar matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus untuk memperoleh gambaran mendalam mengenai fenomena yang diteliti. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara terhadap empat siswa sekolah menengah atas yang berstatus student-athlete, yang terdiri dari dua siswa dari sekolah negeri dan dua siswa dari sekolah swasta dengan cabang olahraga yang berbeda. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi sebagai data pendukung, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data dijaga melalui teknik triangulasi sumber dan metode guna memastikan konsistensi dan kredibilitas temuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal guru memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam membentuk dan mempertahankan minat belajar matematika pada student-athlete. Komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif ditandai dengan keterbukaan, empati, sikap dukungan, sikap positif, dan kesetaraan, yang mampu menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman, nyaman, dan kondusif. Sikap guru yang ramah, adil, serta memberikan umpan balik konstruktif mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa tanpa merasa dibedakan. Selain itu, komunikasi yang suportif membantu student-athlete dalam mengelola tekanan peran ganda sebagai pelajar dan atlet, sehingga tetap memiliki motivasi dan ketertarikan dalam belajar matematika. Secara keseluruhan, semakin baik kualitas komunikasi interpersonal antara guru dan student-athlete, maka semakin tinggi pula minat belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a teaching module based on RME that is valid, practical, and effective for class VII SMP, with a focus on improving the ability to solve problems with mathematical students. We developed the modules by considering the local context and culture, adhering to RME measures, and emphasizing the use of relevant and conceivable situations for students. We utilized the Plomp development model, which encompasses the stages of investigation, creation, and evaluation. We tested the prototype and assessment of this teaching module on participants enrolled in class VII at SMP N 1 Ranah Batahan. The research results demonstrate that the developed teaching modules have high validity (89.33%), practicality (89.60%), and proven effectiveness, as evidenced by an average score of 85.50% among the test study students.  In addition to enhancing the mathematical skills of students, the RME approach also enhances the study of IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences). The development of problem-solving and critical thinking skills through this module enhances students' understanding of natural and social phenomena. Therefore, this teaching module not only promotes mathematical achievement but also fosters integrative and holistic learning within the framework of IPAS.

Abstract

Economics education plays a strategic role in equipping students with critical, analytical, and contextual thinking skills so that they are able to respond to global economic dynamics. However, the teaching of economics in schools is still largely dominated by teacher-centered conventional learning models, resulting in suboptimal development of 21st-century skills. The development of 21st-century educational paradigms and the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka require a transformation toward innovative learning models that integrate creativity, collaboration, the use of technology, and connections with real economic phenomena. Various studies have shown that innovative learning models such as Problem Based Learning, Project Based Learning, blended learning, and gamification can enhance students’ motivation, learning outcomes, and critical and creative thinking skills, although their implementation continues to face obstacles such as limited infrastructure, low digital literacy, suboptimal teacher pedagogical readiness, time constraints, and resistance to change. This study aimed to analyze the barriers and solutions in implementing innovative learning models in Economics subjects through a literature review of empirical research and relevant studies on the implementation of innovative learning models, the challenges encountered, and strategies for overcoming them. The review findings indicate that the successful implementation of innovative learning is strongly influenced by institutional support, continuous improvement of teachers’ competencies, the effective use of learning technologies, and a flexible and contextual curriculum. In conclusion, the application of innovative learning models in Economics instruction has the potential to significantly improve the quality of learning, provided it is supported by the comprehensive readiness of the school ecosystem, with theoretical and practical implications for teachers, schools, and policymakers in developing Economics learning that is more interactive, relevant, and oriented toward 21st-century skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the mediating role of opportunity recognition in the effects of self-efficacy and teacher support on students’ entrepreneurial intentions at SMP Negeri 2 Malalak. This study uses a quantitative design, and data collection is conducted through a questionnaire administered to students selected as the research sample. The analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares) to test the proposed relationships between variables. The results show that self-efficacy and teacher support have a significant effect on opportunity recognition. In addition, self-efficacy directly affects students’ entrepreneurial intentions, whereas teacher support does not. However, opportunity recognition significantly influences entrepreneurial intention and serves as an important mediating variable, strengthening the effects of both self-efficacy and teacher support on entrepreneurial intention. These results underline the crucial role of opportunity recognition in fostering entrepreneurial intentions among students. Theoretically, this study supports the relevance of Social Cognitive Theory and the Theory of Planned Behavior in explaining the development of entrepreneurial intention, particularly within the context of entrepreneurship education at the junior secondary school level.

Abstract

Mathematical problem-solving skills (MPSS) and mathematical communication skills (MCS) has a very close relationship. Before solving a problem, students should understand the problem first, processing and presenting their answer, which is a MCS. Different from the previous study, this study reveal the relationship and interaction between students’ MPSS and MCS using a qualitative approach. To do this, a case study method is conducted using valid test and interviews. The test consist of three cases: smartphone storage, riddle about number of chickens and the coop, and area of land to be planted with corn. The participants of this study were eighth-grade 18 students from various junior high scholl and region in West Sumatra. Data analysis used is a descriptive analysis of students' test answers and interview results. The results show that there are five of nine interactions between MPSS and MCS: solver, self-solver, sharer, regular, and receiver. Solver is a student with high MPSS and MCS (2 students), self solver is a student with high MPSS but moderate MCS (6 students), sharer is a student with moderate MPSS but high MCS (4 students), regular is a student with moderate MPSS and MCS (3 students), and receiver is a student with low MPSS and MCS (3 students). The results of this study also show that the relationship between MPSS and MCS is very close. Although there are students who have MPSS and MCS that do not match, this is inseparable from the limitations of the research conducted.
