Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the motives behind the natural tourism activity made by Community of Nature Lovers Wanadri. The output of this study can be a reference for stakeholders or managers of a natural tourist attraction to do segmentation taking into account the preferences of archipelagic tourists based on the community and the development of natural tourism trends. This research is a quantitative approach. Primary data was collected through surveys and questionnaires to 88 respondents who were active members of the Wanadri Nature Lovers Community who were distributed through groups on one of the community's social media. The collected data is then processed using frequency analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that the Nature Lovers Community of Wanadri had novelty/learning motivation in conducting natural tourism trips, where they enjoyed learning new things in the natural attractions they visited. And then they had a preference for the types of tourism activities visiting historic/cultural activities namely studying sites or relics in a natural tourist attraction both in terms of history or culture. Based on their typology they belong to the type of hard core nature tourist where they carry out natural tourism activities by positioning themselves as observers of the environment and nature preservation

Abstract

The implementation of the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) policy in order to reduce the number of transmission of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic cases in Jakarta leads several cultural heritage sites such as museums close the physical access to visits. In the midst of these limitations, the Antara Journalistic Museum and Photo Gallery made a breakthrough by establishing the museum digitization approach using Video Reality (VR) technology. This article was written to see how the strategy for the resilience of Cultural Heritage Sites in the Museum and Journalistic Photo Gallery is between maintaining some journalistic photo exhibition agendas amidst the lack of public interest in visiting museums plus the threat of a multidimensional crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was written using qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The existence of this facility provides a new alternative for the public to continue visiting and accessing journalistic photo exhibition programs and activities which have been regularly held at the Antara Museum and Photo Journalistic Gallery so far. Having concern with the strength of the mission to preserve historical value as one of the broadcasting spaces for independence and to disseminate journalistic knowledge, especially related to the photojournalism to the younger generation and the strong encouragement of the community, the Antara Journalistic Photo Gallery and Museum is encouraged to survive and continue to operate in organizing activities that have been consistently scheduled yearly.

Abstract

Abstrak Keterlibatan masyarakat merupakan elemen penting untuk mencapai pembangunan pariwisata berkelanjutan. Potensi sumber daya alam dan sumber daya manusia di Wakatobi menjadi salah satu faktor yang menunjang pembangunan pariwisata berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui potensi dan  menentukan strategi pengelolaan pariwisata berdasarkan persepsi masyarakat. Penelitian ini dibagi menjadi beberapa tahapan diantaranya pengumpulan data, analisis faktor internal-eksternal, analisis data dan analisis strategi pengembangan dengan menggunakan matriks SWOT dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat sumber daya alam di Wakatobi yang dapat dijadikan sebagai daya tarik wisata namun belum dikelola dan dikembangkan dengan baik. Diantaranya adalah Pantai Yoro, Pantai Buku, Gua Lasikori, Bukit Koncu, dan Situs Kerajaan Pertama. Hasil analisis kuantitatif menunjukkan nilai positif pada faktor internal dan faktor eksternal yaitu 7.195 dan 5.428. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan paling optimal di Wakatobi adalah dengan memaksimalkan kekuatan untuk mencapai peluang, seperti (1) Membuat kegiatan yang menarik dan berbasis konservasi untuk wisatawan yang dikelola oleh masyarakat, (2) Mempromosikan pariwisata dengan menyampaikan keunggulan daya tarik wisata, (3) Menjadikan lokasi pariwisata sebagai tempat penelitian bagi siswa untuk memeriksa flora dan fauna, kemudian menggunakan hasil penelitian sebagai referensi untuk menggambarkan kondisi lingkungan, dan (4) Mengembangkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam menyediakan layanan pariwisata, untuk meningkatkan peluang kerja bagi masyarakat lokal dan meningkatkan kondisi ekonomi.Kata Kunci :  Analisis SWOT, Potensi sumber daya alam, Strategi Pengembangan, Wakatobi, Wisata berkelanjutan Sustainable Marine Tourism in Wakatobi, Southseast Sulawesi: A Study if Coastal Community Perceptions  Abstract Community involvement is an important element to succeed the sustainable tourism development. Potential of natural and human resources in Wakatobi is one of the factors that support the sustainable tourism development. The purpose of this study is to determine the tourism potential and tourism management strategies based on community perceptions. This research is divided into several stages including data collection, internal-external factor analysis, data analysis and analysis of development strategies using the SWOT matrix with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed that there are several natural resources in Wakatobi that can be used as a tourist attraction but have not been managed and developed properly. There are Yoro Beach, Buku Beach, Lasikori Cave, Koncu Hill, and the First Kingdom Site. The result of the quantitative analysis shows a positive value on internal and external factors, there are 7.195 and 5.428. It shows the most optimal sustainable tourism development strategy in Wakatobi is to maximize the strength to achieve all the opportunities, such as (1) Create an attractive and conservation-based activities for tourists that managed by the community, (2) Promote tourism by conveying the advantages of tourist attractions, attractions, (3) Make a tourism location as a research sites for students to examine the flora and fauna, and use the research results as a reference to describe an environmental condition, and (4) Develop the community abilities in providing tourism service to increase the employment opportunities and improve economic conditions Keyword:  Development strategy, Natural resources, Sustainable Tourism, SWOT Analysis, Wakatobi

Abstract

Layaknya kota-kota lain di Indonesia, Bandung punya rencana smart city bernama Bandung Technopolis. Ini adalah strategi inovasi pembangunan perkotaan tematik baru untuk menjadikan Bandung semakin maju sebagai kota canggih yang dapat melayani penduduknya dan kota pariwisata terkemuka di Indonesia. Namun, tata kota yang canggih ini juga menimbulkan masalah ekologi manusia. Diperlukan lahan yang cukup untuk pelaksanaannya. Studi ini menemukan daya tarik antara manfaat ekonomi, perubahan sosial, dan penataan lingkungan yang melibatkan warga dan pemerintah kota Bandung melalui metode kualitatif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki kondisi dampak positif dan negatif pembangunan Objek Wisata Badega terhadap perubahan sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori perubahaan sosial Talcott Parsons dengan menganalogikan perubahan sosial pada masyarakat seperti halnya pertumbuhan pada mahluk hidup. Komponen utama pada pemikiran Parsons adalah adanya proses diferensiasi. Parsons berasumsi bahwa setiap masyarakat tersusun dari sekumpulan subsistem yang berbeda bedasarkan makna fungsionalnya bagi masyarakat yang lebih luas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif di mana informan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengelola, masyarakat, pedagang dan wisatawan di sekitar lokasi pariwisata. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui teknik observasi, wawancara dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Para penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan cara pengumpulan data, pengelompokan data, penyusunan data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa kondisi masyarakat yang sebelum dibangunnya objek wisata Badega sebagai petani dan buruh bangunan, kini beralih menjadi pedagang dan pengelola objek wisata. Peran pembangunan objek wisata Badega untuk mewadahi potensi mayarakat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pasar pariwisata. Pembangunan objek wisata Badega menimbulkan dampak positif yaitu membuat masyarakat merasa terlibat dalam pembangunan, membuka lapangan pekerjaan dan menambah daya beli masyarakat; sementara dampak negatif yaitu pencemaran lingkungan dan meningkatkan kejahatan. Kajian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengambil kebijakan untuk membuat program pemberdayaan masyarakat yang diperlukan guna keterlibatan yang aktif dari masyarakat tersebut, agar pembangunan kepariwisataan dapat berkembang dengan cara saling membantu antar unsur masyarakat dan pemerintah.

Abstract

As one of the largest industries in the world, tourism has become a rapidly growing phenomenon, yet this industry is very vulnerable to its surrounding issues, including the current Covid-19 pandemics. The travel restriction imposition has made Central Java government reconsider about its initial tourism development strategies as they need to minimise the spread of the virus while trying to accelerate the tourism sector. To implement this adjusted tourism strategies, based on policy analysis taken by the Central Java Provincial Government and its applications in the field, a tourism program named “Njagani Plesiran” was launched. This jargon “Njagani Plesiran” was derived from local Javanese language which literally means maintaining tourism activities. This study uses a literature study method in analysing the tourism policies. To ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the implementation of the Njagani Plesiran, the Great Chinese Temple Sam Poo Kong promotes the programes through various media channels. The expected impact of this tourism program implementation is that while local mobility within the country is still allowed yet regulated, allowing tourism businesses to remain open, the spread of Covid-19 in tourist destinations can be controlled and eventually prevented. Abstract

In the midst of the current modern globalization, the use of social media has almost been enjoyed by most people. However, it turns out that not all elements of society have the ability to use social media. The existence of this conventional media is still sustainable and is used today, in fact it is still a favorite media for villagers in Kedungwuluh, Pangandaran. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method, in which the writer tries to describe in detail and detail a certain phenomenon. This study emphasizes the development of concepts and collects facts found in the field and does not carry out hypotheses. The purpose of this study was to determine the reasons for tourism managers and local village officials to maintain this conventional promotional media as one of the important media in promoting Kedung Lumpang tourism. The next goal is to find out what conventional media are used in the promotion. The result of this research is that there are several conventional media which are considered effective in the current promotion process. First, through word of mouth. Abstract

Tourism is a travel activity carried out by a person or group to a place to gain satisfaction, enjoyment, happiness, experience or new knowledge. Tourism activities are not only to fulfill material needs but also spiritually. The spiritual needs of a person or group come from something non-physical. One of these non-physical needs is the desire to always want to be close to people who are part of the family, figures, leaders who are honored for their services and sacrifices even though they have been physically cut off in the real world. Pilgrimage to the grave is a tradition carried out by a person or group to attribute glory to the ancestors, showing respect for a figure or leader who has contributed to visiting the glorified and sacred tomb. This study aims to determine the historical background of the Eyang Kobul gravesite and its impact on economic and social life for the surrounding community. Furthermore, the method used in this research is to use qualitative methods. The research data were collected through observation, interviews, and study of literature. The results of this study indicate that the existence of the Eyang Kobul gravesite has a positive impact on the economy and social life of the community around Jatisari Village, Kutawaringin District, Bandung Regency. The future challenge related to the development of the Pilgrimage tour of the Tomb of Eyang Kobul is how the manager with the principle of independence can realize a program of arrangement and improvement of better facilities for pilgrims.

Abstract

Rumah Atsiri Indonesia is located in Plumbon Village, Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java Province. This study aims to determine the potential and the development strategy of educational tourism at Rumah Atsiri Indonesia in the era of adapting to a new normal. This study used qualitative research method. The data collection technique was done by triangulation, namely a combination of observation, interview, and documentation from various accurate data sources. The data analysis technique used was SWOT analysis. The results of this study indicate that Rumah Atsiri Indonesia with the concept of educational tourism has natural and cultural potentials. The implementation of the CHSE Health Protocols at Rumah Atsiri Indonesia in the era of adapting to a new normal has run smoothly and has received the CHSE Certification label from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia. The development strategies of educational tourism at Rumah Atsiri Indonesia are as follows: (a) maximizing the various types of tourist attractions; (b) conducting digital tourism promotion of educational tourism at Rumah Atsiri Indonesia; (c) increasing the quality and quantity of facilities for the visitors; (d) Scheduling annual tourism activities; (e) adjusting the price of products and services with the service quality; (f) increasing the competence of tourism human resources; (g) introducing the various types of plants and their benefits for health; and (h) collaborating with various stakeholders from academia, business, government, community, and media.
