Abstract

The media played a central role in communication between people, including religious matters. In religious tourism, there were scouting activities between the committee, ustadz, and congregation in the context of worship that was carried out well. The most prominent in this religious tourism was the pilgrimage and umrah. Thus, there were many Hajj and Umrah communities in a Muslim-majority country like Indonesia. This study aims to determine the role of social media in religious tourism guidance and marketing activities. This study used a micro-sociological analysis of qualitative data from activities at one of the Hajj and Umrah guidance centers in Bandung, Indonesia. Using social network analysis, it was found that social media’s role was essential to disseminate information between Hajj and Umrah guidance institutions and their congregations. The use of Facebook for the profile of the guidance institution was beneficial for pilgrims to understand the various opportunities and obstacles that exist in the Hajj/Umrah pilgrimage. WhatsApp was the most frequently used to communicate interactively with the congregation so the clerics and committees. Social media is quite helpful in marketing when the assembly connects with friends and family in telling their experiences when worshiping in Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

Abstract

Kondisi pandemic yang melanda Indonesia yang memaksa masyarakat untuk tetap berada dirumah demi mencegah penyebaran virus corona dimanfaatkan oleh sekelompok masyarakat untuk berkegiatan untuk mengatasi rasa bosan. Wisata virtual ke Pulau Penyengat yang merupakan destinasi pariwisata budaya dan heritage yang diadakan oleh Outing.id diikuti oleh 32 orang wisatawan virtual yang 22 orangnya merupakan peserta yang berusia 21 – 40 tahun yang lazim dikenal dengan generasi millennial. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengambilan data menggunakan metode survei dengan pedekatan purposive sampling, peneliti bertujuan ingin mengetahui karakteristik dan motivasi para millennial dalam mengikuti virtual tour wisata budaya dan heritage ke Pulau Penyengat di Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Hasilnya para peserta millennial yang mengikuti kegiatan ini didorong karena rasa ingin tahu terhadap destinasi pariwisata yang disajikan secara daring dalam bentuk virtual tour melalui aplikasi video conference.

Abstract

The diversity of attractiveness of agricultural cultivation supported by a strategic location, unspoiled environment, mostly agricultural land, and community friendliness can be the main attraction for tourists and Sukalarang Village, Sukabumi Regency has it all. This study aims to identify the attractiveness of Sukalarang Village through agrotourism and analyze its development strategy. The qualitative method is this research approach with online primary and secondary data sources through previous research, online media, and government regulatory documents. Data collection techniques using online questionnaires and interviews. The research analysis used was qualitative and descriptive. This finding is expected to be able to answer the potential attraction of Sukalarang Village agro-tourism because the people in Sukalarang Village still make agricultural and plantation activities their daily activities and formulate development strategies as an agro-tourism village with the initiation of plantation owners and the village government. Abstract

The spread of Islam in Indramayu stems from trading activities at Cimanuk Port, Indramayu. This is completely contained in the hundred years old manuscripts of Sheikh Abdul Manan. This study aimed to determine how the preservation of Syekh Abdul Manan's ancient manuscripts at the Bandar Cimanuk Museum, Indramayu. The research used a qualitative approach through descriptive research method. Based results of research, the Bandar Cimanuk Museum has carried out activities for the preservation of Sheikh Abdul Manan’s ancient manuscripts through restrictions to direct access to museum users, routine cleaning of manuscripts and the museum environment, fumigation, and digitization. Restrictions to direct access to museum users by placing the ancient manuscripts in glass covered displays and special boxes. Routine maintenance of the museum is conducted by regulating the light and humidity, using camphor in every corner of the room, dehumidifier settings, and directing the museum visitors. Fumigation is conducted through pesticide compund to eliminate pests once a year. The digitization of ancient manuscripts into the form of a digital book (flipbook) which is carried out in collaboration with museums with various institutions, such as, a collaboration with researchers and students from Padjadjaran University. The entire process of preservation activities was carried out in a structured and panned methods. The study concludes that the importance of preservation to maintain and preserve the heritage of ancient manuscripts to be accessed and utilized by wider societies.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the use of open library digital library services  in meeting the information needs of Telkom University students. The study used the qualitative method with case study approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews with Telkom University students, observation, and literature study. Study results showed that the initial stage was based on the motivation and goals arising from self-awareness and the need to increase knowledge in completing tasks and scientific works (thesis/TA). Browsing began with authentication using an SSO account (Igracias), and information retrieval began with using a simple search facility. Students also used the internet to access various other sources with the Google search engine to further enrich the required information. Then, At the formulation stage, students conducted brainstorming by learning and understanding the problem-solving process related to the appropriate topic and discussing it with friends, lecturers, or people who were considered understandable and could be invited to discuss related topics that were being deepened. The collection stage was done by downloading the file and storing it in their laptop folder. At the presentation stage, students would feel satisfied after getting the information so it is possible to do monitoring.  The presentation was performed in the form of writing a new document or as a complement in both the completion of lecture assignments (proposal and paper) as well as the writing of scientific papers (thesis/TA).

Abstract

This  study  aims  to  determine  the processing operations of library materials in the Regional Office of Archives and Library (KAPD) Bogor in detail, which is based on four main points, namely inventory, classification, cataloging, and shelving.   This   research   was   conducted from   February   until   April   2015.   The method used is qualitative method with descriptive case study approach to give a deep  and  detailed  overview. The techniques of data collection used are observation, interviews, library and documents research. The results of the survey shows that the inventory is mplemented under the written policy according to the Law of library including assigning and recording the identification numbers, stamping the identity of a library on the book, etc. The books come from APBD, BAPUSIPDA, and PERPUSNAS. The classification mostly done manually by using the DDC book, while the process of entry is done by using the SLIMs program. The making of card catalog has been discontinued since 2010 and OPAC is currently used in exchange. The shelving is conducted based on classification number, notation number,  and the code number. The public books are adjusted by the classification numbers and the reference books are adjusted by the code number. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan proses pengolahan bahan pustaka karya cetak di Kantor Arsip dan Perpustakaan Daerah (KAPD) Kota Bogor, didasarkan pada 4 poin, inventarisasi, klasifikasi, cataloging dan shelving. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Februari hingga April 2015. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode kualitatif melalui deskriptif, pendekatan studi kasusu untuk memberikan pendalaman dan rinci. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, studi literatur dan dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kebijakan perundang-undangan tertulis termasuk menugaskan dan merekam nomor dan pelabelan identitas buku perpustakaan. Buku-buku tersebut berasal dari APBD, BAPUSIPDA, dan PERPUSNAS. Klasifikasi sebagian besar digunakan secara manual melalui buku DDC, lalu menggunakan program SLIM setelah kegiatan entri selesai. Pembuatan kartu katalog telah dihentikan sejak 2010 dan saat ini menggunakan OPAC dalam pertukaran rak yang dilakukan berdasarkan nomor klasifikasi, jumlah notasi dan nomor kode. Buku-buku umum disesuaikan dengan nomor klasifikasi dan buku referensi disesuaikan dengan jumlah kode.

Abstract

The Bioscience and Biotechnology Development Foundation (YPBB) managing organic and non organic waste through a program called zero-waste. This study aimed to determine the zero waste information dissemination activities at YPBB. The study used a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used were observations, interviews, and document analysis. The analysis was performed by data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. Study results indicated that zero-waste information dissemination activities were through Programs Zero-Waste Lifestyle (ZWL) and Zero-Waste Cities (ZWC). The ZWL Program comprised training involving partners. Communicators in the ZWL Program were YPBB voluntary trainers, that the message conveyed was informative, using a clear and to understands word approach and a humorous approach. The media used presentation slides as instructional media, organic nonorganic waste, takakura, and biopore drills as instructional aids. The ZWL Program participants were middle and upper-middle urban communities. The kelurahan or RW implemented the Zero Waste Cities Program (ZWC). Communicators in this program were RW heads and cadres, that give messages were persuasive and educational, conveyed through posters and WhatsApp groups. The study concludes that the dissemination of zero waste information through the Zero-Waste Lifestyle (ZWL) and Zero Waste Cities (ZWC) Programs are viewed from communication elements, namely communicators, messages, media and communication elements that are already running and by the program planned. The conclusion this research shows that the dissemination of zero waste information through ZWL and ZWC according to the communication element is already in progress, and according to the planned program.

Abstract

Radio RASI FM is a community radio that organizes and broadcasts the tradition of ‘ngaruat lembur’, the tradition of expressing gratitude to God, and to ward off disasters as well. This radio performs documentation starting from data searching to creating a form of cultural documentation. The study purpose was to see the documentation process of the traditional culture of ‘ngaruat lembu’ at RASI FM radio. The research used the case study method through qualitative method approach to the owner, broadcaster of radio and community of Cisewu Village. The study results indicated that RASI FM radio documented the ‘ngaruat lembur’ tradition through the recording and management process. Recording activities started from the collection of information and records in the form of pouring data. Management activities consisted of the distribution of duties as an on-air announcer, off-air broadcaster, and audio-visual documentation. Then, the storage of written broadcast results on radio and data into audio-visual media was performed and preservation of documents through the separation and maintenance of audio-visual media. Based on that, we constructed a model of the cultural documentation process of ‘ngaruat lembur’ on RASI FM radio. The radio serves as a preserver of rural community traditions through the ‘ngaruat lembur’ program, which is followed by all circles of society. However, the radio team did not yet have a digital-based form of audio-visual documentation maintenance. Nevertheless, RASI FM radio has become a forum for transferring traditional information of Cisewu Village community.

Abstract

This study aims to find out about how the preservation activities of library materials after the earthquake in the Library and Archives (CPA) of West Sumatra province. There are two forms of preservation in this study, namely Policy Curative Conservation and Preservation Event. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, where the collected data compiled and analyzed with data collection conducted through interviewing, direct observation, and literature study. As for the key informants in this study were employees and staff at the National Library and Archives (CPA) of West Sumatra province. The results of the study provide information that the implementation of the policy of preservation of library materials after the earthquake in the Library and Archives (CPA) of West Sumatra province has not had a policy in writing, but has carried out a policy outside decree governor of West Sumatra by the head of the library to save materials library. In addition, it also found that the curative conservation activities covering search and sorting of library materials that can be salvaged from the aftermath of the earthquake, improve library materials such as Patching and connecting, binding, media control and fumigation. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang bagaimana kegiatan pelestarian bahan pustaka pasca gempa di Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan (BPA) Propinsi Sumatera Barat. Terdapat dua bentuk pelestarian dalam penelitian ini, yaitu Kebijakan Pelestarian dan Kegiatan Pelestarian Kuratif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dimana data yang terkumpul disusun dan dianalisis dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui teknik wawancara, observasi langsung, dan studi kepustakaan. Adapun yang menjadi informan kunci dalam penelitian ini adalah para pegawai dan staf di Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan (BPA) Propinsi Sumatera Barat. Hasil penelitian memberikan informasi bahwa pelaksanaan kegiatan kebijakan pelestarian terhadap bahan pustaka pasca gempa di Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan (BPA) Propinsi Sumatera Barat belum mempunyai kebijakan secara tertulis, namun telah dilakukan kebijakan di luar surat keputusan Gubernur Sumatera Barat oleh kepala perpustakaan untuk menyelamatkan bahan-bahan pustaka. Di samping itu juga ditemukan bahwa kegiatan pelestarian kuratif meliputi penelusuran dan penyortiran bahan pustaka yang dapat diselamatkan dari pasca gempa, memperbaiki bahan pustaka seperti penambalan dan menyambung, penjilidan, alih media, serta fumigasi.

Abstract

Research on Information Literacy in fostering the motivation of entrepreneurial for the Housewife in the village of West Nagasari Karawang aims to find out the capabilities of literacy information entrepreneur owned the homemaker can cultivate entrepreneurship motivation to discuss economic families with housewife role as breadwinner. The research method used was qualitative with the design case studies. To collect the data is done by observation, in-depth interviews and literature study. The data source is the housewife, Literacy Expert Information, an expert on motivation, and references to Information Literacy and motivation. Based on the results of the research the housewives already has the capability of information literacy entrepreneurial conditioned, among other things: (1) being able to formulate information needs about entreprener, (2) is capable of updating the evaluation of the quality of the information, in this case the filter is capable of performing to the information will be used, (3) capable of storing and retrievel information, storage is done via media flash-disks and hard drive in the laptop, (4) are able to use information effectively and efficiently, the information obtained is used as a reference in the opening attempt and (5) able to communicate knowledge which can be with other parties, in this case the housewife doing sharing knowledge with her husband and other mothers already and have not experienced in the activities of the hero's efforts, (6) are capable of implementation information obtained about self-employment by opening a home business based on those results, are expected to help the other housewives in order to help improve the economy of their families.Penelitian tentang Literasi Informasi Dalam Menumbuhkan Motivasi Berwirausaha Bagi Para Ibu Rumah Tangga di Kelurahan Nagasari Kabupaten Karawang Barat bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi informasi wirausaha yang dimiliki para ibu rumah tangga dapat menumbuhkan motivasi berwirausaha untuk memperbaiki ekonomi keluarga dengan peran ibu rumah tangga sebagai pencari nafkah tambahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam dan studi literatur. Sumber data nya adalah para ibu rumah tangga, pakar Literasi Informasi, Pakar Motivasi, dan referensi mengenai Literasi Informasi dan Motivasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian para ibu rumah tangga sudah memiliki kemampuan literasi informasi berwirausaha, antara lain: (1) mampu merumuskan kebutuhan informasi mengenai wirausaha, (2) mampu mengevaluasi kualitas informasi, dalam hal ini mampu melakukan filterisasi terhadap informasi yang akan digunakan, (3) mampu menyimpan dan menemukembalikan informasi, penyimpanan dilakukan melalui media flashdisk dan hardisk di laptop, (4) mampu menggunakan informasi secara efektif dan efisien,informasi yang didapat digunakan sebagai referensi dalam membuka usaha dan (5) mampu mengkomunikasikan pengetahuan yang didapat dengan pihak lain, dalam hal ini para ibu rumah tangga melakukan sharing knowledge dengan suaminya dan ibu-ibu lain yang sudah dan belum berpengalaman dalam kegiatan wirausaha, (6) mampu mengimplementasikan informasi yang didapat mengenai wirausaha dengan membuka bisnis rumahan berdasarkan hasil tersebut, diharapkan dapat membantu para ibu rumah tangga lainnya agar dapat membantu memperbaiki ekonomi keluarga mereka.
