Abstract

As technology advances, learning media are needed to support classroom learning and increase student interest. This research, motivated by these challenges, focuses on utilizing YouTube as a learning medium to increase student interest in dance lessons. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of YouTube in dance lessons. Increase student learning interest. This study uses the classroom action research (CAR) method, conducted over 2 cycles, where each cycledone2 meetings with 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, instrument The method used in this study was a learning interest questionnaire. The population and sample used in this study were class VIII C at SMPN 1 Lembang with a total of 38 students. Abstract

This study aims to map rhythmic creativity in Digital Audio Workstation (DAW)–based beatmaking using Guilford’s indicators of creativity—fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration—as the primary analytical framework. In higher education in music arts, these indicators are employed as an analytical lens to examine how rhythmic ideas are generated, varied, refined, and expanded during the DAW-based beatmaking process. The study adopted a directed literature review method with thematic synthesis, analyzing 40 open-access sources published between 2017 and 2025 and retrieved through database searches (e.g., DOAJ and Google Scholar) and manual reference list screening. All included sources were peer-reviewed and assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs). The literature was organized into thematic clusters, including DAW pedagogy, beatmaking practices, divergent thinking and musical creativity, digital collaboration, and critiques of technology and artificial intelligence in music production. Rhythmic elements—such as patterns, grooves, accents, subdivisions, swing, microtiming, transitions, arrangement, and energy automation—were subsequently mapped onto the four creativity indicators. The findings indicate that DAWs strongly facilitate rapid idea prototyping and iterative refinement, making fluency and elaboration the most prominent creativity indicators. In contrast, flexibility and originality appear to be more contingent on task design, learners’ willingness to shift compositional strategies, negotiation with genre conventions, and the broader collaborative and technological ecosystem, including templates, presets, and AI-assisted tools. This study provides a conceptual mapping framework and illustrative assessment directions to assist lecturers in interpreting DAW project artifacts as evidence of rhythmic creative processes. In the context of music arts higher education, the proposed mapping offers a reference for designing DAW-based composition tasks and developing more consistent and transparent assessment criteria for rhythmic creativity across the four Guilford indicators. Future research is recommended to empirically test this framework through the analysis of student-produced DAW artifacts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran strategis pemuda dalam Paguyuban Puseur Galuh Pancaniti di Kabupaten Ciamis dalam meresolusi ketegangan antara nilai-nilai budaya lokal dan arus modernitas melalui pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler berbasis budaya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai mekanisme internal paguyuban serta dampak kegiatan tersebut terhadap penguatan ketahanan identitas dan keberlanjutan budaya lokal. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Keabsahan data diuji menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan metode, sementara pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan melalui analisis tematik interaktif guna mengidentifikasi pola, makna, dan dinamika peran pemuda dalam pelestarian budaya komunitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang difokuskan pada pelestarian seni, budaya, bahasa, dan tradisi lokal mampu memperkuat kesadaran budaya sekaligus mengakomodasi dinamika modernitas. Pemuda di paguyuban ini menjadi agen perubahan yang adaptif sekaligus penjaga nilai budaya yang relevan dalam konteks sosial kontemporer. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peran strategis pemuda melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler berbasis budaya merupakan elemen kunci dalam menjaga keseimbangan antara tradisi dan modernitas di masyarakat lokal. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan bagi pembuat kebijakan, pendidik, dan organisasi kepemudaan untuk merancang program pemberdayaan budaya yang berkelanjutan, memperkuat integrasi sosial, serta membangun ketahanan nasional berbasis nilai-nilai budaya.

Abstract

The Tingkeban is a tradition handed down from the Javanese tribe which is still preserved among the Javanese people in Pangandaran. This research is to determine the implementation and express the values of local wisdom in the Tingkeban Tradition among the Javanese-Pangandaran ethnic group. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a type of historical study (history research). The steps in historical study are Heuristics, Criticism, Interpretation, and Historiography. Apart from that, it uses the Anthropological method, namely the Socio-Cultural research method (culture domain) using triangulation in analyzing data. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, the data collection used in this research is literature study and field study. The results of the research show that the traditional procession of the tingkeban ceremony is making rujak, splashing the mother-to-be, putting village eggs into the mother-to-be's cloth, changing nyamping seven times, splitting the ivory coconut, Selamatetan and serving. And the local wisdom values contained in the tingkeban traditional ceremony are increasing togetherness between generations, respect for traditions and cultural heritage, preparation for the role of parents, formation of identity and a sense of belonging, learning social values, and strengthening solidarity and cooperation.

Abstract

Panjalu District in Ciamis Regency holds a strong tradition called pamali, an unwritten rule that binds the community’s life. Known for its rich culture, Panjalu still highly values pamali alongside other customs like the Nyangku Ritual Ceremony, preserved to prevent cultural loss. This research explores pamali from the community’s viewpoint and examines its role as social and cultural resilience. Using qualitative methods, including observation and interviews, the study finds that pamali is more than outdated prohibitions; it is a system of values upholding politeness, morality, social norms, order, and harmony with nature. Violating pamali evokes fear of negative consequences, making it effective in maintaining social order. Despite modernization pressures, pamali remains relevant and adaptable, helping Panjalu preserve cultural identity and social solidarity. Thus, pamali acts as a vital pillar for the community’s social and cultural resilience.

Abstract

Tari Ronggeng Amen di Desa Batulawang merupakan salah satu bentuk kesenian tradisional yang mencerminkan ketahanan budaya masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran tari ini dalam mempertahankan identitas budaya dan nilai-nilai sosial di tengah arus modernisasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi, meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tari Ronggeng Amen tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai sarana ritual dan pelestarian tradisi lokal. Kesenian ini melibatkan generasi muda dan berkontribusi pada solidaritas sosial, serta menjadi simbol penghormatan terhadap leluhur. Upaya pelestarian dilakukan melalui kegiatan ritual seperti Ngabungbang dan Ngaruat, serta dukungan dari pemerintah dan tokoh seni. Rekomendasi untuk keberlanjutan kesenian ini mencakup program pelatihan bagi generasi muda, integrasi dalam kurikulum pendidikan, dan penyelenggaraan festival budaya. Dengan demikian, Tari Ronggeng Amen diharapkan dapat terus dilestarikan sebagai bagian dari identitas budaya yang kaya dan berharga di Desa Batulawang.

Abstract

Choir activities in higher education predominantly emphasize technical musical aspects while overlooking their potential as comprehensive character education platforms. This study addresses the knowledge gap regarding specific mechanisms through which structured collaborative learning transforms character values in university choir contexts. This two-year qualitative action research employed Cooperative Learning interventions in student choir activities at IAKN Palangka Raya, Indonesia. Seven focal students exhibiting problematic behaviors were selected from 30 choir members. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation across two intervention cycles, then analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods with triangulation for validity. The systematic implementation of Cooperative Learning through small group practice, peer teaching, leadership rotation, and structured reflection successfully transformed student character values. Focal students progressed from chronic tardiness, minimal engagement, and individualistic attitudes to demonstrating sustained discipline (95%+ attendance), personal responsibility, cooperative commitment, and empathetic awareness. Musical competence improved concurrently, culminating in competitive achievements at city, provincial, and national levels. A novel finding revealed that character development temporally preceded musical improvement by 3-4 weeks, suggesting character values function as foundational infrastructure enabling optimal artistic learning. Cooperative Learning effectively cultivates multidimensional character development alongside musical competence in higher education choir settings. The findings position structured collaborative pedagogy as essential for realizing choir activities' full potential as holistic character education spaces.

Abstract

Wilayah pesisir merupakan kawasan yang memiliki tingkat kerentanan tinggi terhadap berbagai bencana alam, seperti banjir rob, abrasi pantai, dan gempa bumi. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya penguatan pendidikan mitigasi bencana sejak usia dini, khususnya pada satuan pendidikan dasar yang berada di wilayah rawan bencana. Namun demikian, implementasi pendidikan mitigasi bencana di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi sejumlah kendala, antara lain keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang kontekstual, interaktif, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik belajar anak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesiapsiagaan guru serta siswa sekolah dasar melalui pemanfaatan robot asisten berbasis Virtual Reality (VR) sebagai media edukasi mitigasi bencana. Program pengabdian dilaksanakan di SD Muhammadiyah 9 Bahari Kenjeran Surabaya dengan menggunakan metode sosialisasi, pelatihan penggunaan media VR bagi guru, simulasi pembelajaran mitigasi bencana berbasis VR bagi siswa, serta pendampingan dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil pelaksanaan program menunjukkan adanya peningkatan antusiasme dan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran, meningkatnya pemahaman dasar siswa mengenai jenis-jenis bencana pesisir dan langkah-langkah mitigasi yang tepat, serta peningkatan kapasitas guru dalam memanfaatkan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi imersif. Selain itu, penggunaan robot asisten berbasis VR mampu menghadirkan pengalaman belajar yang lebih konkret dan aplikatif sehingga memudahkan siswa memahami konsep mitigasi bencana. Kegiatan ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan robot asisten berbasis Virtual Reality efektif sebagai media edukasi mitigasi bencana yang kontekstual, interaktif, dan aplikatif, serta berpotensi mendukung penguatan budaya sadar bencana secara berkelanjutan di sekolah dasar wilayah pesisir.

Abstract

Program Pendampingan Mitigasi Bencana Berbasis Meja Blok Bangunan berbantuan Augmented Reality (Gamb-AR) merupakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan meningkatkan literasi mitigasi bencana, kesiapan psikososial, serta motivasi belajar anak usia dini di TK ‘Aisyiyah 04 Pondok Modern Paciran, Lamongan, wilayah pesisir yang rentan terhadap tsunami, abrasi, dan banjir. Program ini dirancang untuk menjawab permasalahan rendahnya pemahaman kebencanaan pada guru dan siswa serta keterbatasan metode pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang menarik dan kontekstual. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi mitigasi bencana kepada warga sekolah, pelatihan guru dalam pemanfaatan media Gamb-AR, simulasi kebencanaan berbasis permainan edukatif, pendampingan pembelajaran tematik, serta pembentukan duta kebencanaan tingkat TK. Media Gamb-AR dikembangkan dalam bentuk meja blok bangunan yang dipadukan dengan teknologi Augmented Reality, sehingga memungkinkan anak belajar melalui pengalaman visual, kinestetik, dan interaktif yang sesuai dengan tahap perkembangan usia dini. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dasar mitigasi bencana pada siswa, meningkatnya kesiapan guru dalam mengintegrasikan pembelajaran kebencanaan ke dalam kurikulum tematik, serta tumbuhnya minat dan antusiasme belajar anak. Selain itu, keterlibatan mahasiswa melalui program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) memperkuat proses pendampingan dan transfer pengetahuan di sekolah. Simpulan dari program ini adalah bahwa media pembelajaran Gamb-AR efektif sebagai model pembelajaran mitigasi bencana yang kontekstual, menyenangkan, dan adaptif terhadap lingkungan pesisir, serta berpotensi direplikasi sebagai upaya membangun ketangguhan masyarakat sekolah secara holistik, berkelanjutan, dan berbasis teknologi edukatif.
