Abstract

This study aims to map the learning of Arabic in Senior High Schools and Vocational Schools in Malang Regency covering the aspects of 1) teacher qualification, 2) curriculum and development, 3) teaching materials, 4) teaching strategies, 5) instructional media, and 6) evaluation implementation. The research was conducted with a descriptive model. Of the population 183 Senior High School and Vocational Schools, 12 schools were taken using a cluster sampling. The data were collected using questionnaires filled by Arabic teachers in all sample schools. The data analysis was performed according to the steps a) identification of data, b) tabulation of data, c) data grouping, d) data quantification, and e) description of data. This study found (1) all Arabic teachers in Senior High Schools and Vocational Schools in Malang Regency have a standard qualification of Arabic teacher in school, (2) Senior High Schools and Vocational Schools in Malang Regency using the Ministry of Education and Culture KTSP curriculum which was elaborated by teachers into syllabus form and Lesson plans, (3) teaching materials used were in the form of textbooks and student worksheets with various titles and publishers, (4) reading and vocabulary learning was carried out with translation techniques; speaking skills were trained by giving students time to practice dialogue, and writing skills were trained through sentence exercises, copying texts, combining two sentences, and completing paragraphs; (5) teachers utilized instructional media, drawings, original objects, hearing, charts/scheme, or language lab; and (6) the majority of teachers evaluated the lessons at the end of each unit.

Abstract

Tulisan ini akan membahas tentang bagaimana model penelitian pengembangan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Selain membedakan penelitian dan penelitian pengembangan pendidikan, penulis juga menguraikan urgensi penerapan model penelitian ini dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Dengan jenis produk yang berupa alat peraga, media pembelajaran elektronik, bahan ajar, model pembelajaran, instrumen assessment, dan produk pembelajaran berbasis komputer, ada usaha untuk membangkitkan minat para peneliti muda untuk melakukan model penelitian ini dan mengembangkan temuan atau produknya demi kemajuan pembelajaran bahasa Arab ke depan.

Abstract

AbstractThe linguistic corpus is an old study in language learning that has been carried out by experts in their fields and continues to experience significant development along with the use of digital technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. In linguistic analysis in Indonesia, the use of the linguistic corpus is still low. Corpus linguistic applications such as Sketch Engine, Lunchbox, AntConc, WordSmith, and other linguistic corpus applications have been developed. There is a lot of studies that using the linguistic corpus, and one of the linguistic studies is the study of the collocation. The study of collocation is an important study in language education to develop speaking skill and fluency. Accordingly, the researcher studied the collocation using the lorpus linguistic, and the researcher chose the Sketch Engine website as a data collection tool, so that it would be easier for the researcher to study the collocation of the word Al Hubb (love) in the novel Al Hubbul Maktum. The method this article uses a qualitative descriptive method, and the researcher conducted a library research to explain the forms of the word Al Hubb (love), the number of its appearance, and the forms of its collocations in the novel Al Hubbul Maktum. From this paper, the researcher found that the analysis of the collocations of the word Al Hubb (love) in the novel Al Hubbul Maktum using Corpus Linguistic can be done optimally and produce the forms of the word love and its collocations in the novel and then analyze it easily and faster. Accordingly, the researcher suggests that linguistic analysis for upgrading language skills using the Corpus Linguistic in Indonesia can be improved and developed so that it can turn into a new approach to teaching and learning Arabic.Keyword: Linguistic Corpus, study of collocations, language learning, Al Hubbul Maktum.

Abstract

The Qur’an is a media of interaction between God and His creatures. The research aims to describe the pattern of interactions in Qur’an. It uses qualitative design and content analysis. The research result shows that the themes of interaction are various, the participants of interaction include God and His creatures, the responses of the interaction are categorized into: response which is based on its origin and based on the relationship of questions-responses. The motives of interactions are various depending on context. The background of interaction is divided into physical and non-physical. In addition, the pattern of interaction includes one-way and two-way interaction and the interactional strategy is either direct or indirect

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to describe the effectiveness of using Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach in Arabic Language Research Method Class. It uses a quasi-experimental (pre- experimental design). The result shows that generally using PBL is effective in both aspects of the learning process and the learning outcomes. Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah agar kompetensi profesional guru bahasa Arab MA/SMA/SMK meningkat lebih khusus tentang strategi pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa (istimak, kalam, qira’ah, dan kitabah) unsur-unsur bahasa (mufradat dan tarkib). Kegiatan ini berupa pelatihan peningkatan kompetensi guru bahasa Arab MA/SMA/SMK Malang yang dilaksanakan selama dua hari. Materi yang disampaikan kepada para peserta adalah pengajaran istimak (menyimak), pengajaran kalam (berbicara), pengajaran qira’ah (membaca), pengajaran kitabah (menulis), pengajaran mufradat (kosakata), dan pengajaran tarkib (susunan bahasa Arab). Sasaran pelatihan ini adalah guru bahasa Arab MA/SMA/SMK yang berjumlah 120 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah modeling, tanya jawab dan praktik. Hasil kegiatan terbagi menjadi tiga, yaitu kegiatan pembukaan, kegiatan inti, dan penutup.

Abstract

Tujuan pelatihan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan kepada guru bahasa Arab MTs Kabupaten dan Kota Kediri tentang pentingnya bahan ajar dan mendrill mereka dalam pembuatan bahan ajar bahasa Arab berbasis powerpoint. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, drill, penugasan. Peserta yang ikut dalam pelatihan ini sejumlah 24 orang guru bahasa Arab MTs Kabupaten dan Kota Kediri. Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah guru bahasa Arab MTs Kabupaten dan Kota Kediri mengenal konsep bahan ajar bahasa Arab dan dapat membuat bahan ajar bahasa Arab berbasis powerpoint.

Abstract

Language learners often bring their personal philosophy into foreign language learning. Beliefs about language learning might support to selecting the ways of learning in foreign language. This study aims at finding out the correlation between Dayakese students’ beliefs about language learning and their learning strategies in Arabic as a foreign language at Central Borneo, Indonesia. Sixty-one students were asked to participate in this study. The instruments used were Beliefs about Language Learning (BALLI) proposed by Horwitz (1988) and Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) proposed by Oxford (1990). In analyzing data, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and correlation coefficient of Pearson product moment were used. The findings can be explained as follows. 1) The aptitude, learning difficulty, and communication and learning strategies dimensions were at medium level, while nature of language learning and motivation & expectation dimensions were at high level. Generally, Dayakese students’ beliefs about Arabic language learning were at medium level; 2) The popular strategies used by Dayakese students were metacognitive and affective strategies; 3) The significant correlations were found between Dayakese students’ beliefs about language learning and their Learning Strategies in Arabic as a foreign language with coefficient correlation 0.431.

Abstract

There has been a disconnect between the Arabic language curriculum and the implementation of learning in Madrasah Aliyah which is one of the causes of the many failures of learning Arabic at the madrasa. This study aims to reveal some of the problems that occur in learning Arabic in the form of a disconnect between the Arabic curriculum and the implementation of learning at Madrasah Aliyah from the perspective of ACTFL. This study uses a qualitative method with a narrative approach that relies on the document analysis study of KMA 183, KMA 184 in 2019 and the ACTFL Proficiency Guide. The findings of this study indicate that there is a disconnect between the Arabic curriculum and the implementation of learning in Madrasah Aliyah from the aspect of material, assessment, allocation of learning time and supporting programs for learning Arabic at Madrasah Aliyah. This study suggests further studies related to overcoming the disconnection between the Arabic language curriculum and the implementation of learning and increasing Arabic learning in Madrasah Aliyah.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the consistency and harmony in the Arabic textbook for the tenth semester of the secondary school of the Bulletin of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. This research uses discourse analysis in the qualitative descriptive method. The data sources in this research mean the textbook for the tenth semester of secondary school which was published in the Religious Affairs Bulletin of the Republic of Indonesia in 2019. The results of this research are 1) the consistency in the texts means referral, substitution, omission, conjunction, repetition, synonym, and inclusion, and 2) The consistency in texts is the linguistic aspects and the details of the content of the paragraph. يهدف هذا البحث لوصف الاتساق في النصوص المقروءة في الكتاب الدراسي للفصل X للمدرسة الثانوية نشرة الشؤون الدينية للجمهورية الإندونيسية، و لوصف الانسجام في النصوص المقروءة في الكتاب الدراسي للفصل العاشر للمدرسة الثانوية نشرة الشؤون الدينية للجمهورية الإندونيسية. يستحدم هذا البحث طريقة تحليل البحث، يعني وصفي كيفي بمنهج تحليل الخطاب. و مصادر البيانات في هذا البحث يعني الكتاب الدراسي للفصل العاشر للمدرسة الثانوية الذي نشرة الشؤون الدينية للجمهورية الإندونيسية 2019. و النتائج في هذا البحث هي 1) يظهر الاتساق في النصوص يعني الاحالة و الاستبدال و الحذف و العطف و التكرار و المرادف و الاشتمال، 2) الانسجام في النصوص هو الجوانب اللغوية و تفاصيل محتوى الفقرة.
