Abstract

The problems faced by PKK students are difficulties in determining a topic or problem, determining a title, making an introduction, and determining references. The aim of this activity is to increase students' knowledge and abilities in compiling scientific papers, socialize the importance of writing scientific papers, and to improve students' abilities in determining titles and making introductions that comply with the guidelines for writing scientific papers. The methods used in this service are lecture methods, discussion methods, training activities and evaluation. This activity succeeded in improving the ability to compose scientific papers. Motivation, enthusiasm and passion were visible from the students while taking part in the activities, this could be seen from the number of students who took part in the discussions and all the students submitted scientific writing products.

Abstract

The world's environmental problems are never-ending. From carbon emissions, climate change,harmful land expansion to plastic waste. In education, these issues need to be given specialattention. However, there are still relatively few lessons on how to promote environmental issuesin the formal education system. Narrative review literature review is the method used in thisresearch. This article shows (1) how second-hand materials are used as learning media and (2) howteachers and students actively use second-hand materials as personalized learning media.Utilization of second-hand materials in learning is a form of adaptive learning system, one of whichis personalization system. Personalized learning by using second-hand materials facilitatesstudents' ability to solve problems or environmental issues. Thus, this article can be used as analternative reference in the use of second-hand materials as instructional media.

Abstract

Physics learning encountered a hurdle due to students' insufficient metacognitive abilities, emphasizing the need to improve their understanding of learning and problem-solving procedures. This literature review aimed to explain the results of applying Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to metacognition in physics learning in Indonesia. This literature review was sourced from scholarly articles published between 2013-2023, retrieved via Google Scholar using tools like Publish or Perish and Open Knowledge Map. The search utilized keywords such as “Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah” or “Problem-Based Learning” and “Metacogni*” and “physics”. These criteria included relevance to PBL in physics learning, metacognitive, publication in reputable journals, and full-text availability. From the initial pool of 214 articles, a selection process was applied based on the literature review criteria, including 11 national and one international article. Based on the findings of the literature review analysis, it was discovered that there was limited research on the application of PBL to metacognition in physics education in Indonesia, indicating a need for further exploration. Of the 12 articles examined, only 2 (16.7%) focused on developing PBL tools to facilitate metacognition, ensuring validity, practicality, and effectiveness in enhancing learner metacognition. Additionally, 6 of the 12 articles (50.0%) suggested that implementing the PBL model in physics education improved metacognitive abilities. However, 4 of the 12 articles (33.3%) reported no significant impact on enhancing metacognition through PBL learning methodologies. The results of this study indicated a complex correlation between PBL and the advancement of metacognitive skills in physics education. This underscored the significance of further research to pinpoint the factors influencing these outcomes and to refine PBL instructional approaches.

Abstract

Berdasarkan data dari keterserapan untuk tahun ajaran 2022/2023, hanya sedikit dari siswa yang memilih karir sebagai mekanik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur sejauh mana pengalaman kerja industri (prakerin) berkontribusi minat siswa untuk menjadi mekanik. Metode analisis yang dipakai merupakan deskriptif korelasional. Penelitian ini melibatkan 109 siswa, dengan sampel yang diambil sebanyak 53 siswa menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Penulis memakai rumus Taro Yamane untuk memutuskan ukuran sampel. Angket diberikan ke siswa kelas XII Teknik Otomotif untuk untuk penghimpunan data, yang berisi pertanyaan tentang kontribusi pengalaman prakerin terhadap minat mereka menjadi mekanik. Hasil studi mengungkapkan kalau pengalaman prakerin memberikan hubungan signifikan kepada kesiapan siswa di SMK Negeri 1 Guguk, pada angka 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Ini mengungkapkan kalau pengalaman prakerin secara signifikan berhubungan kepada minat siswa untuk menjadi mekanik di SMK Negeri 1 Guguk. Based on data from absorption for the 2022/2023 academic year, only a few of student choose a career as a mechanic. This research aims to measure the extent to which industrial work experience to contribute students' interest in becoming mechanics. The analytical method used is descriptive correlational. This research involved 109 students, with a sample taken of 53 students using stratified random sampling techniques. The author uses Taro Yamane's formula to decide the sample size. Students were given a questionnaire for Class XII Automotive Engineering for data collection, which contained questions about the contribution of their internship experience to their interest in becoming a mechanic. The results of the study reveal that internship experience has a significant provide contribution on student readiness at SMK Negeri 1 Guguk, at a figure of 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. This reveals that practical work experience significantly contribute to the students' interest in becoming mechanics at SMK Negeri 1 Guguk.

Abstract

Today technological sophistication is growing rapidly, especially in the world of education so that it provides challenges and roles for educators in the learning process, one of which is about religious learning. Religion is a very important foundation in education. Therefore, educators must be able to develop skills in education that are collaborated with technological sophistication products. This study aims to find out how the role and challenges faced by religious teachers in 21st century learning technology. The research method used by researchers is a quantitative method using online-based questionnaires. The research was conducted on teachers who in fact taught Islamic religious education. The research was conducted by providing several questions through the help of Google Form, and the research was conducted online. The result of this study is to find out how important the role of technology in the 21st century is for religious teachers so that religious teachers do not stutter in technology or outdated to the technological developments that appear today. The conclusion of this study explains that in the 21st century the role and challenges of religious teachers in using learning technology are very influential on the teaching and learning process. The limitation of this study is that researchers do not observe directly into the field so that they do not maximally know how the role and challenges faced by religious teachers in 21st century learning technology, therefore researchers hope that further researchers can observe directly into the field so that they can maximally explain the role and challenges faced by religious teachers regarding technology in the 21st century learning process.

Abstract

Usaha mikro kecil dan menengah (UMKM) berperan penting mendorong perekonomian Indonesia. Usaha UMKM tersebar di berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Salah satunya di Kabupaten Malang yang memiliki UMKM melimpah yaitu di Kecamatan Wagir. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi masyarakat dan pengrajin olahan bambu terkait pengoptimalan potensi bambu yang ada di desa Petungsewu dan desa Pandanrejo Kecamatan Wagir. Metode pelaksanaan program ini berupa focus group discussion (FGD) dan pendampingan terhadap masyarakat dan pengrajin olahan bambu. Hasil yang telah dicapai pada kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah menciptakan peluang bisnis dalam meningkatkan usaha dari adanya pengoptimalisasian dan meningkatkan produktivitas hasil potensi bambu..Kata kunci— Produktivitas, Olahan bambu, UMKM, Desa Petungsewu dan Pandanrejo Abstract Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in driving the Indonesian economy. MSMEs are spread across various regions in Indonesia. One of them is in Malang Regency which has abundant MSMEs, namely in Wagir District. This service activity aims to provide community education and bamboo processing craftsmen related to optimizing the potential of bamboo in Petungsewu village and Pandanrejo village, Wagir District. The method of implementing this program is in the form of focus group discussion (FGD) and assistance to the community and processed bamboo craftsmen. The results that have been achieved in this community service activity are creating business opportunities in increasing business from optimizing and increasing the productivity of potential bamboo products.Keywords— Productivity, Bamboo products, MSMEs, Petungsewu and Pandanrejo villages

Abstract

Kebijakan pembelajaran dalam jaringan (daring) sebagai dampak dari adanya pandemi Covid-19 menuai problematika salah satunya di bidang pendidikan terutama untuk anak sekolah jenjang taman kanak-kanak (TK)hingga sekolah dasar (SD). Tidak bertemunya antara guru dengan siswa secara langsung dapat menjadi salah satu faktor rendahnya tingkat pengetahuan dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran, pengetahuan umum maupun kearifan lokal. Anak-anak memiliki kecenderungan menyukai hal-hal yang bersifat menarik atau tindakan bermain. Oleh karena itu, sudah seyogyanya diperlukan media edukasi atau media informasi seputar pengetahuan umum maupun kearifan lokal melalui media permainan interaktif bagi anak-anak sebagai upaya meningkatkan pengetahuan dan/atau pemahaman anak. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui tahap identifikasi, pembuatan media, dan uji coba serta evaluasi. Dalam penerapannya, media permainan Mono Ori (Modifikasi Permainan Monopoli Berbasis Rekreasi dan Edukasi) ini, dapat menjadi sarana bermain atau rekreasi bagi anak serta menambah wawasan mereka melalui plot-plot pertanyaan yang tersaji pada permainan. Sajian pertanyaan meliputi tiga topik, yakni materi pelajaran, pengetahuan umum, dan kearifan lokal yang disesuaikan dengan kemampuan rata-rata anak-anak TK hingga SD. Dengan adanya Mono Ori ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan wawasan anak-anak di Desa Kaibon melalui media permainan, sehingga dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk mengurangi problematika pendidikan di masa pandemi Covid-19. Kata kunci— Pembelajaran daring, Media edukasi, Wawasan anak, Kearifan lokal, Pandemi Covid-19 Abstract  The online learning policy as an impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused several problems, one of which is in the education area, especially for kindergarten (TK) to primary school (SD) children. The lack of direct meetings between teachers and students can be a factor in the low level of students' knowledge and understanding of subject matter, general knowledge, and local wisdom. Children tend to like interesting things or the act of playing. Therefore, educational media or information media about general knowledge and local wisdom should be needed through interactive game media for children as an effort to increase children’s knowledge and/or understanding. This service activity is carried out through identification, media creation, and testing, and evaluation. In its application, the Mono Ori game media (Modification of Recreation and Education-Based Monopoly Game) can be a means of playing or recreation for children and increasing their knowledge through the questions presented in the game. The questions cover three topics, namely subject matter, general knowledge, and local wisdom, that are adapted to the average abilities of kindergarten to primary school children. With the Mono Ori game, it hopes can increase the insight of children in Kaibon Village through the media game, so that it can be an alternative to reduce educational problems during the Covid-19 pandemic. Keywords— Online learning, Educational media, children’s insights, Local wisdom, the Covid-19 pandemic

Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential implementation of White Cube Learning Environments (WCLE) as an inclusive learning method in art education in Indonesia. This research focuses on how WCLE can increase collaboration, creativity, and inclusivity among learners from different backgrounds. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. This qualitative analysis helps in understanding the perceptions, effectiveness, and challenges of implementing WCLE in the context of education, art practitioners, and physical galleries as multi-collaborators. The findings of this study provide an alternative contribution that WCLE can be an effective learning tool in supporting a more inclusive and collaborative arts education in Indonesia with the scope of smart learning design despite challenges, such as limited infrastructure and resistance from traditional learning approaches. Recommendations for best practices and further implementation strategies become intact recommendations that offer insights for stakeholders in arts education to adopt and adapt these models according to the needs of efficient learning. Abstract

The purpose of the present study is to determine the effectiveness of the problem-based learning model that assisted Google Classroom in the ability of conceptual understanding. This study adapted experimental research with a post-test-only control design. The population of the study is the students of the English Education study program in the first semester consisting of two classes. The sample used in this study was Class 1B with problem-based learning assisted Google Classroom with question menu and Class 1A using problem-based learning assisted Google Classroom with assignment menu. Test and documentation are used for collecting the data in conducting this study. The technique of analyzing the data used an independent sample t-Test and N-Gain test. The result showed that the students who were taught using problem-based learning assisted Google Classroom model with questions menu had better conceptual understanding skills than the students who were taught problem-based learning assisted Google Classroom with assignment menu.

Abstract

Abstrak — Penelitian ini didasari pada pesatnya Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi pada dunia pendidikan. Hal ini sejalan dengan konsep kompetensi abad 21, salah satunya adalah menguasai Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh lemahnya keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi atau Higher Order Thinking Skills pada mahasiswa FKIP Universitas Pancasakti Tegal, khususnya mahasiswa pada pendidikan matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis E-Learning dalam peningkatan Higher Order Thinking Skills pada mahasiswa FKIP UPS Tegal.. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Ditegaskan oleh Borg dan Gall (2003), bahwa “educational research and development is a process used to develop and validate educational products”. Lebih lanjut mereka pun mengemukakan 10 langkah penelitian dan pengembangan, yang dapat disederhanakan menjadi lima langkah utama berikut: (1) melakukan analisis produk yang akan dikembangkan; (2) mengembangkan produk awal; (3) validasi ahli dan revisi; (4) ujicoba lapangan skala kecil dan revisi produk; (5) ujicoba lapangan skala besar dan produk akhir. Hasil penghitungan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS menunjukkan bahwa taraf signifikansi sebesar 0.135 atau 13.5% atau dapat dintepretasikan bahwa elearning efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika pada mahasiswa pendidikan matematika FKIP Universitas Pancasakti Tegal. Hal yang pling menonjol dalam pelaksanaan eksperimen pembelajarn e-learning ini adalah tingginya rasa terdorong mahasiswa untuk mengikuti dan mendalami materi perkuliahan yang telah disajikan oleh dosen. Kata Kunci – Pembelajaran, E-Learning, HOTS Abstract — This research is based on the rapid Information and Communication Technology in the world of education. This is contrary to the concept of 21st century competence, one of which is mastering Information and Communication Technology. This research is motivated by the weakness of high level thinking skills or High Level Thinking Skills in FKIP Universitas Pancasakti Tegal students, specifically students in mathematics education. The purpose of this research is to study the implementation of E-learning based learning in improving Higher Level Thinking Skills in FKIP UPS Tegal students. This type of research is research and development. Affirmed by Borg and Gall (2003), that "educational research and development is a process used to develop and validate educational products". Furthermore they also put forward 10 steps of research and development, which can be simplified into the following five main steps: (1) analyzing the products to be developed; (2) developing initial products; (3) expert validation and revision; (4) small-scale field trials and product revisions; (5) large-scale field trials and final products. The results of calculations using SPSS software show a significance level of 0.135 or 13.5% or can be interpreted that e-learning is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes in mathematics education students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences University of Pancasakti Tegal University. The most important thing in this e-learning learning experimental experiment is the superior sense that is encouraged by students to be taken and explored lecture material provided by the lecturer.
