Abstract

his study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. Its objective was to systematically and objectively describe students' perceptions of the deep learning approach in the context of 21st-century education. The subjects of this research were 43 undergraduate students from the Education Department in Malang, class of 2022, selected through purposive sampling, specifically those who had taken the Curriculum and Instruction course.The study revealed that the perceptions of these undergraduate education students in Malang toward the deep learning approach in the 21st century were still at a moderate level. Some students expressed interest in and support for the deep learning approach, citing its relevance to technological advancements, digital literacy demands, and the need to improve the quality of learning. However, the students’ understanding of the deep learning concept remained weak. Many had not yet been introduced to or deeply understood the approach, both in terms of its foundational principles and its practical implementation in learning contexts.Students recognized that the deep learning approach requires critical thinking skills, reflective abilities, and sensitivity to student character diversity. They viewed the deep learning approach as capable of fostering more meaningful, personalized, and adaptive learning experiences tailored to students' needs.

Abstract

The aim of the research are determine different math problem solving skills and character of the love’s local culture between the student who receives contextual learning based on ethnomathematics using media interactive as well as students who only use contextual learning. The population of this research is the eighth-grade students in SMPN 9 Tegal city. With the Cluster Random Sampling, get two classes were taken as the experimental group consist56 student into contextual learning based on ethnomathematics with interactive animation and two classes were taken as a control group consist 55 student that only used contextual learning. In the data collecting technique used documentations, tests, and questionnaires. In the analyzing of the data used ano-way manova test. The results of the study showed λcalculated = 0.7925 (λtable = 0.9413). This value indicated that an average value of math problem solving ability and the average questionnaire value of the love in the local culture students experiment class better than the control class students. This result conclude that the ability to math problem solving skills and character of love’s local culture between the experiment class and the control class there are differences.Keywords: contextual learning, ethnomathematics, media interactive, mathematic problem solving. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v20i2.pp39-45

Abstract

Cooling towers serve as an important tool in industrial settings to reduce heat in machines that use water and air as working media, this process involves hot water generated from the machine coming into direct contact with air resulting in a small portion of the water evaporating which then reduces its temperature. Although previous research has attempted to improve the performance of cooling towers, there is still considerable scope for further exploration in achieving optimal results. One way to improve it is to adjust and change the flow of distributing fluid media by adding the number of holes on the flat plate of the cooling tower. Based on this phenomenon, the researcher wants to examine the magnitude of the heat transfer impact on a multi-storey cooling tower using triangular perforated flat plates with varying numbers of holes. The overall height of the cooling tower is 2.4 meters, consisting of five flat plates arranged in stages with each flat plate dimension having a length of 0.7 meters and a width of 0.5 meters, having a plate area of 3.5 m² with a tilt angle of each plate arrangement on the cooling tower which is 15 °. The number of holes in a given flat plate is 45, 55, and 65 holes, while the inlet water temperature is set at 80°C, 85°C, and 90°C. The results of this study revealed that the number of holes 65 showed a greater heat transfer effect compared to the other variations. Consequently, the number of holes significantly affects the heat transfer coefficient, thus impacting the overall performance of the multistage cooling tower.

Abstract

The Technology and Innovation Dissemination Program in Kedungbanteng Village, Ponorogo Regency, East Java, aims to increase melon farmers' productivity through IoT technology and access to revolving funds. This village is known to produce high-quality melons with export potential, but farmers still face significant challenges. The main problems of partners are the low understanding of modern agricultural technology and limited access to capital. Most farmers still rely on conventional methods, such as manual greenhouses, which hinder production efficiency. The solutions offered include two main approaches. The first is the application of IoT technology in melon cultivation in greenhouses to increase productivity and efficiency. The implementation stages include needs identification, sensor installation, and farmer training. Second, farmers are provided access to revolving funds, accompanied by financial management training and the preparation of sustainable business plans. This program is designed to help farmers obtain capital at affordable interest rates and make adopting new technologies more accessible. The method of implementing the activity includes direct training to farmers on the use of IoT technology and financial management, installation and testing of IoT devices in greenhouses, and technical assistance on an ongoing basis. In addition, assistance is carried out by supervising revolving funds and farming training to ensure optimal implementation. The output targets of this program are an increase in melon productivity by 30% in a year, a reduction in operational costs by 20%, and an increase in farmers' understanding of IoT technology and financial management skills. This program is also expected to increase the greenhouse area and farmers' access to capital.

Abstract

Upaya untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran pedagogi mahasiswa Pendidikan Profesi Guru (PPG) Seni Budaya dilakukan melalui pengembangan konten Learning Management System (LMS) yang inovatif dan terintegrasi dengan proyek penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila di sekolah mitra. Dengan pendekatan ini, diharapkan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman dan apresiasi mahasiswa terhadap seni budaya, serta terbangunnya karakter yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Metode yang digunakan melibatkan desain LMS yang interaktif, pelatihan guru, dan implementasi proyek di sekolah mitra. Hasil dari upaya ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterlibatan mahasiswa dan efektivitas pembelajaran yang signifikan, serta penguatan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Implementasi LMS yang inovatif ini memberikan dampak positif dalam pembelajaran seni budaya dan pengembangan karakter mahasiswa PPG, yang tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan seni budaya tetapi juga memperkuat landasan karakter yang berorientasi pada nilai-nilai luhur Pancasila.

Abstract

This article discusses the development of an interactive module for early childhood education (PPG PAUD) students integrated with project-based learning as an effort to optimize learning in partner schools. The program aims to enhance the skills and understanding of PPG PAUD students through the use of interactive modules designed to support project-based learning. The methodology includes needs analysis, module design, implementation, and effectiveness evaluation. The results indicate that the interactive module significantly increases students' learning motivation, engagement, and material comprehension. Additionally, the integration of project-based learning allows students to develop practical skills relevant to the teaching context in partner schools. In conclusion, the development of interactive modules integrated with project-based learning provides a positive contribution to optimizing learning for PPG PAUD students.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and implement a Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) based course to internationalize augmented reality (AR) based learning media content. The RRA method is used to identify international needs and preferences for AR learning content. The results of RRA become the basis for developing strategies that include content development, platforms, marketing and promotions. Implementation involves developer training, international collaboration, and regular evaluation and monitoring to ensure successful internationalization. The findings suggest that the integration of local cultural and linguistic elements in AR content as well as the use of platforms that support multilingualism can increase user engagement in international markets. Evaluations also show increased understanding and appreciation of AR learning materials in various countries.

Abstract

Along with the development of technology, a set of abilities is needed to master the 21st-century skills which are often referred to as 4C, namely Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Creativity and Innovation. The purpose of this research is to develop online web learning with ethnomathematics content on self-regulated learning. The development model in this research is to develop online web learning with ethnomathematics content on KPK and FPB material for elementary schools with the Lee and Owen model design (2004). The development model consists of (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. After discussing the findings, this study produces several conclusions. First, in order to achieve learning outcomes and learning objectives, content from the etomathematics aspect is needed in the KPK and FPB materials so that students do not only get mathematics but understand how elements of local culture can foster a love for local culture. Second, to foster student interest, it requires the use of images, audio and video more than text. Third, applications can be used to support learning. This is due to the limited time that the researcher has. In the future, products that have been made large group trials and tests on student self-regulated learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of life skills of elementary school students in social science subjects through the development of life skills education. Learning Social Sciences Education certainly gets the spotlight related to the role of the teachers and the conditions of the students. The teacher still holds power in learning, while students can only follow all directions given by the teacher. As a result, students only memorize and do the teacher's orders. Conditions like this must be changed because it is in accordance with the changing times in the kurikulum merdeka. Learning Social Sciences in schools at various levels of educational development needs to be based on aspects of the curriculum, philosophy and learning theory, as well as various aspects in accordance with the nature of social studies education.. This study uses a research and development (R & D) approach that begins with a preliminary study, followed by limited trials and wider trials, and ends with model validation tests. Limited trials and wider trials which were carried out repeatedly at an elementary school in Tegal City and accompanied by revisions at each trial; and model validation tests were carried out at three elementary schools as the experimental group and three elementary schools as the control group without the presence of the researcher. The focus of development is social studies learning carried out by teachers of class V SD in Tegal City. Data were collected by interview, observation, questionnaire, and learning achievement tests. The model design test is carried out through limited trials and wider trials. Validation of the model design developed using a quasi-experimental design. Data analysis was carried out descriptively, and t-test statistical analysis. The results of the study show that the life skill learning model in social studies learning has improved learning outcomes and students' life skills so that the profile of Pancasila is strengthened.

Abstract

Pengembangan dan rancang bangun produk teknologi holografi sebagai media belajar kustomisasi dinamis berbasis citra visual 3D di PT. Mitra Bangun Kreatifa bertujuan menciptakan alat pembelajaran yang interaktif dan inovatif. Teknologi holografi memungkinkan visualisasi objek dalam tiga dimensi, memberikan pengalaman belajar yang mendalam dan imersif. Proyek ini melibatkan tahap perancangan, pengembangan, dan uji coba produk holografi yang dapat dikustomisasi sesuai kebutuhan pembelajaran. Melalui perancangan, tim merancang sistem holografi yang dapat memproyeksikan citra visual yang jelas dan realistis. Pada tahap pengembangan, teknologi ini diintegrasikan dengan perangkat lunak pendukung untuk memastikan fungsionalitas dan kemudahan penggunaan. Uji coba produk melibatkan siswa dari berbagai tingkat pendidikan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas dan keterlibatan yang dihasilkan. Hasil awal menunjukkan bahwa teknologi ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pelajaran, serta meningkatkan keterlibatan dan motivasi belajar. Implementasi produk ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan melalui penggunaan teknologi canggih, menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih menarik dan interaktif di era digital.
