Abstract

Abstrak. Kemacetan jalan raya merupakan permasalahan umum di setiap kota yang memerlukan penanganan serius. Pemecahan permasalahan kemacetan jalan raya tidak hanya dapat diselesaikan dengan hanya meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas infrastruktur, namun juga manajemen lalu lintas. Pada artikel diusulkan suatu metode untuk mengurangi kemacetan lalu lintas, yaitu dengan menyeimbangkan beban ke berbagai ruas jalan yang disebut dengan load balancing. Melalui metode ini diharapkan beban lalu lintas terbagi secara merata ke berbagai jalur alternatif sedemikian sehingga antrian panjang kendaraan dapat dihindari. Evaluasi efektifitas dari metode load balancing ini dilakukan melalui simulasi dengan mengimplementasikan salah satu bidang ilmu Matematika, yaitu teori Antrian. Simulasi dibuat dengan menggunakan toolbox SimEvents yang dijalankan pada software MATLAB.Kata Kunci: load balancing, kemacetan, lalu lintas, sim-events, matlabAbstract. (the effectiveness of load balancing in reducing the road traffic congestion) Road congestion is a common problem in any city that needs serious handling. The solution of the road congestion problems can not only be solved by simply improving the quality and quantity of infrastructure, but also the traffic management. In this article, we proposed a method to reduce the traffic congestion by balancing the vehicle loads to a various road segments, called as load balancing. Through this method, it is expected that the traffic load is evenly distributed to various alternative routes, such that, long queues and traffic jam can be avoided. Evaluation of the load balancing’s effectiveness is performed through a simulation by implementing the Queueing Theory. Simulations are created using the SimEvents toolbox that runs on MATLAB software.Keywords: load balancing, road congestion, traffic, simevents, matlab.

Abstract

Paradigm shift in educational context support to instructional innovation, such as online learning, blended learning, and mobile learning. Researcher implemented the blended learning by using blog as portfolios for students. The purpose in this research was to identify the effects of using a blog in blended learning to improve collage student’s information processing skill in virtual environment. The facilitation given to college students in order to familiar with through search, collect, manages, and communicates information in digital age. Research subject is collage students in Development of Innovation Instructional Model course on period January-June 2017 at Educational Technology in Universitas Negeri Padang. This research used three instruments, consist of 1) the rubrics for identify information processing skill, 2) questionnaire for using blog folio, and 3) interview guided about advantages, challenges and obstacles to use a blog in blended learning. The result show that using blog folio can help collage students to improved information processing skills because they understood and tried the steps of that skill. Furthermore, they admitted by using blog folio can increased motivation, participation and give advantages.

Abstract

The chemical components of biomass were composed mainly by three elements, i.e. carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. These elements composition may contribute to proximate properties and calorific value of biomass. Characterization of wood, wood bark, and bamboos biomass and its relation to biomass quality for energy were carried out based on their chemical components contents. The analyses of chemical components of biomass were performed according to Technical Association of Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) standard and proximate analysis was carried out according to American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard. The characteristics of biomass for energy could be evaluated based on its chemical components; especially by cellulose/lignin ratio (C/L) and hemicellulose/lignin ratio (H/L). Generally, appropriate quality of lignocellulose biomass for energy tend to exhibit low C/L and H/L ratios, that is due to obtain low volatile content and high calorific value. Lignin seems to be the most responsible chemical component for high calorific value of biomass. The classification of biomass based on the chemical components ratios would be applicable for biomass with less heterogeneity in ash content and in the quite similar extractives content.

Abstract

Abstract—Simulation methodology has become popular among network researchers due to the availability of various sophisticated and the flexibility of simulation packages in model construction and the result’s validation. The objective of our research is to introduce a discrete simulator tools known as SimEvents toolbox that runs on MATLAB-Simulink with the advantages of graphical user interface (GUI) system and a total customized simulator design. In this paper, we design a model-based network simulator named as “CDNlink”. CDNlink is designed based on a queuing model and functioned to study the content delivery networks (CDN). As a result, we have designed the simulator for Client, Router, DNS, and Server. Moreover, we simulate the CDN system for packet round trip time (RTT) and server’s queue length.Keywords—simulink, content delivery network, model-based simulation, simevents, cdnlink.

Abstract

 Abstract — Along with the development of today's era and technology, humans are required to make changes, especially in the field of education. The challenges that occur in education are very complex, especially during the current covid-19 pandemic. All learning is carried out online/PJJ (distance learning) to minimize the spread of the covid-19 virus. So, the impact that occurs is that all schools must change all knowledge strategies face-to-face to Online Learning (PJJ). Of course, this is not easy because several things include teachers' readiness, student, and technology resources. In addition, if learning is carried out remotely, there must be other supporting materials, one of which is quality content. Quality content must go through a review process first. However, no forum can meet the needs of the review process, so there is a need for a community-based system that can accommodate the content review process to produce quality content. In this study, a learning community database system application was developed related to developing quality content. The development of this database system application will use the waterfall method with structured programming. The stages are carried out using the waterfall method, starting from analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Meanwhile, structured programming is used when designing applications and implementing the waterfall method. So that with the application of this database system, it is hoped that the quality of the content to be published, especially in the field of education, will be guaranteed. Students will get the material as expected with quality content, especially with distance learning during this pandemic.Keywords — content, database system, waterfalls, quality Abstrak — Seiring dengan perkembangan jaman dan teknologi saat ini, manusia dituntut untuk dapat melakukan perubahan terutama di bidang pendidikan. Tantangan yang terjadi di bidang pendidikan sangat kompleks terlebih pada saat pandemi covid-19 sekarang ini seluruh pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring/PJJ (pembelajaran jarak jauh) untuk meminimalisir penyebaran virus covid-19 tersebut. Maka, dampak yang terjadi adalah seluruh sekolah harus mengubah seluruh strategi pembelajaran yang selama ini tatap muka menjadi PJJ. Tentu hal tersebut tidaklah mudah karena beberapa hal diantaranya kesiapan dari sumber daya guru, siswa, dan teknologi. Selain itu, jika pembelajaran dilakukan secara jarak jauh maka harus ada materi pendukung lainnya salah satunya konten yang berkualitas. Konten berkualitas tersebut harus melewati proses review terlebih dahulu. Namun pada saat ini belum adanya wadah yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan proses review tersebut sehingga perlu adanya sebuah sistem berbasis komunitas yang dapat mewadahi proses review konten tersebut sehingga dapat menghasilkan sebuah konten yang berkualitas. Pada penelitian ini dikembangkan sebuah aplikasi sistem database komunitas pembelajaran terkait dengan pembangunan konten yang berkualitas tersebut. Pengembangan aplikasi sistem database ini akan menggunakan metode waterfall dengan pemrograman terstruktur. Tahapan yang dilakukan menggunakan metode waterfall mulai dari analisis, desain, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Sedangkan pemrograman terstruktur dipakai pada saat melakukan desain aplikasi dan implementasi pada metode waterfall. Sehingga dengan adanya aplikasi sistem database ini, diharapkan konten yang akan dipublikasi terutama di bidang pendidikan akan terjamin kualitasnya. Dengan adanya konten yang berkualitas, maka siswa akan mendapatkan materi sesuai dengan yang diharapkan terlebih dengan pembelajaran jarak jauh di masa pandemi ini. Kata kunci — konten sistem database waterfall kualitas

Abstract

This study aims to describe how organizational culture, organizational communication, quality of work of life, work environment, and employee performance of the Regional Secretariat in Bandung City Government are, along with their influence among the variables studied. The population in this study were all employees who worked at the Regional Secretariat in the Bandung City Government, totaling 261 people. The number of samples taken in this study, namely 261 employees as much as the total population with saturated sampling technique or census. Determination of the sample in this study was carried out with the type of Non-Probability Sampling. Non-Probability Sampling This type of sample is not chosen at random. The selected non-probability sampling technique is saturated sampling (census), which is a sampling method when all members of the population are used as samples. Meanwhile, the research method used in this study is in the form of an explanatory survey research method which aims to find out the relationship between the variables studied. The data analysis and processing technique used is in the form of path analysis. Based on the research results, it is known that organizational culture, organizational communication, and work environment, either directly or indirectly, have a significant influence on employee performance of the Regional Secretariat in the Bandung City Government. However, in this study, the quality of work of life did not have a significant effect on employee performance.

Abstract

Abstrak:Salah satu mata pelajaran yang mengharuskan siswanya berinteraksi dengan komputer adalah mata pelajaran TIK (Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi). Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Darul Arqam memiliki lembaga yang mendukung terciptanya model pembelajaran berbasiskan teknologi atau dengan memanfaatkan teknologi yang ada. Banyak cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga memperoleh hasil belajar yang memenuhi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal. Salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Virtual Learning Environment berbasis web atau lebih dikenal dengan e-Learning. Pada penelitian ini, penulis mengembangkan Model Pembelajaran e-Learning berbasis Moodle dan Facebook untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas IX Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Arqam pada mata pelajaran Teknologi Informasi & Komunikasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research & Development. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa produk e-learning berbasis moodle yang dapat dilihat pada tautan di http://coderalliance.com/ elearning dengan prosentase rata-rata untuk kategori pengembangan perangkat lunak dan kategori inovasi pendidikan diperoleh sebanyak 93.33% berdasarkan validasi ahli. Lebih jauh lagi, prosentase rata-rata produk elearning untuk kategori pengembangan perangkat lunak pada laman http://apps.facebook.com/temanbelajar diperoleh sebanyak 90.42%. Untuk kategori inovasi pendidikan diperoleh prosentasi rata-rata sebanyak 92.22%. Secara keseluruhan, hasil belajar siswa setelah diimplementasikannya model pembelajaran e-learning berbasis moodle dan facebook mengalami peningkatan pada mata pelajaran TIK.Kata Kunci: e-learning, Moodle, Facebook, Hasil Pembelajaran, ICT Abstract:One of the courses that requires students to interact with computers is Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Islamic Junior Secondary School Darul Arqam owns the facilities that support the development of a technology-based learning model or by using the existing technology. Variety of methods can be applied to enhance the motivation of students learning process to achieve the learning outcomes that fulfil the minimum requierement of completion. Among those methods is using web-based Virtual Learning Environment approach as e-Learning. In this research, the researcher developed a Moodle- and Facebook-based e-Learning Model to determine the development of grade IX student’s learning outcomes of Islamic Junior Secondary School Darul Arqam for ICT subject lesson. The research method used was Research and Development. Based on the experts’ validation, the results of this study in the form of Moodle-based e-learning products in http://coderalliance.com/elearning reached the average percentage for software development and educational innovation category for 93.33%. Furthermore, the average percentage of e-learning products for software development category in http://apps.facebook.com/ temanbelajar is 90,42%. For the category of educational innovation, the average percentage is 92.22%. Overall, after the implementation of Moodle and Facebook-based e-learning, the student’s learning outcomes in ICT subject lesson had increased.Keywords: e-learning, Moodle, Facebook, Learning Outcomes, ICT

Abstract

Biologi Komunikasi merupakan cabang Ilmu Komunikasi yang memiliki bidang garapan khusus terhadap upaya-upaya penjelasan mengenai fenomena dibalik fenomena psikologi. Bidang garapan ini sangat penting untuk lebih banyak dikaji secara mendalam khususnya melalui penelitian-penelitian yang sifatnya eksperimental/laboratorium. Sehingga Biologi Komunikasi ini dapat menjadi Mata Kuliah Khusus pada Program Studi Komunikasi di kemudian hari. Salah satu temuan yang sangat penting dari penelitian, yaitu ditemukannya bukti mengenai perilaku biologi komunikasi yang terjadi di dalam otak manusia, dalam hal ini peserta didik. Perilakuperilaku tersebut ditunjukkan melalui bukti-bukti proses komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh bagian-bagian spesifik otak ( Frontal (F); Temporal (T); Parasagital (P); Occipital (Oc); dan Central (C)) khususnya ketika peserta didik melakukan aktivitas belajar dalam bentuk mengamati, memahami, mendengar, dan melakukan kecenderungan bertindak. Masing-masing bagian spesifik otak tersebut melakukan transfer informasi yang berasal dari luar individu, khususnya stimulus yang dikemas dalam bentuk media yang berbasis Teknologi Informasi, sebagaimana yang banyak ditemui dalam bentuk model-model pembelajaran dewasa ini ( Computer Based Instruction : Drill, Tutorial, Simulasi, dan Permainan); ataupun yang dikemas dengan pemanfaatan ICT ((Information Communication and Technology) di sekolah-sekolah.Temuan penelitian ini secara praktis bisa diaplikasikan pada kelompok bidang studi sosial maupun bidang eksakta mulai jenjang Sekolah Dasar sampai dengan Pendidikan Tinggi.

Abstract

This study is a breakthrough in supporting students’ sd, SMP, AND high school in the SouthGarut in performing information processing of learning both for the exact and social. The study tries toanswer the question of how large the focus of information-processing speed of the student learningbased on element formation 3dimensi animation on the exact and social subjects (IPS). The study wasconducted on students at elementary, junior high, and high school. The study was conducted by usingthe method of research and development carried out experiments in which this research is consideringthe second year in which the CAI instructional model and formation animation 3dimensi been designedbefore. The study was conducted at the elementary school level, junior high, and high school located inthe southern Garut, with through stratified random sampling. The results showed that the speed ofinformation processing of learning both exact and social groups (IPS) conducted junior high schoolstudents were more superior than the elementary or high school students, through Computer AssistedInstruction teaching model loaded with animation 3dimensi formation.

Abstract

The smooth flow of traffic is one of the parameters of controlled transportation system management. As the population grows, traffic becomes more congested and causes congestion in various locations. One of the locations of congestion of national concern is the Cinunuk road that connects the Cibiru Roundabout to Cileunyi (BCC). The BCC is located in the Cibiru and Cileunyi sub-districts, the border of the City and Regency of Bandung. The congestion starts at the Cibiru roundabout and continues along the Cinunuk highway to the one-way intersection for each lane. BCC is the only Non-Toll road that connects traffic in northern West Java to the south and east coast via the city of Bandung. This condition results in high flow of vehicles that pass through the lane so that congestion occurs every day from morning to night. One alternative solution to unravel this congestion problem is to build a new alternative path known as the Cileunyi Circle (LC). This article discusses the study of traffic situations at BCC locations with LC alternatives through mathematical modeling methods and simulations. The application used for simulation is MATLAB-SimEvents on the basis of the queue model.
