Abstract

This study aims to theoretical contribution for development concept of leadership factors and organizational culture factors in influencing work motivation and its implications for improving employee performance. A total of 150 questionnaires were distributed to employees of production division of PT X ,Tbk by purposive sampling, then data was processed using structural equation modeling using AMOS 23 application. Results showed that transactional leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, adaptive culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, transactional leadership has a significant effect on employee performance with work motivation as mediation, and adaptive culture has a significant and positive effect on employee performance with work motivation as mediation.

Abstract

Doing online motorcycle taxi work is required to not only be able to drive motorized vehicles, but also requires various skills and techniques to become a successful online motorcycle taxi driver, including communication skills. Communication Skill Training is aimed at 26 female online ojek drivers in the city of Surabaya. The method of implementing community service activities is experiential learning in the form of practice and also interspersed with lectures.  The results of the observation occurred a change in the attitude of the participants in communicating, for example, being more confident and wiser in word selection. In addition, the experiential learning method has proven effective for changing attitudes and improving partner communication skills.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in social and physical restrictions, has consequences for the sustainability of the fashion business. This industry is included in the top 5 priority scales for MSME development in Surabaya. Therefore, the existence of the fashion industry is very important for the economy of Surabaya. Related to this, fashion business owners in Surabaya are required to be able to maintain their business through work innovation. This study aims to analyze the direct or indirect influences of competence, the use of information technology, and self-efficacy on business performance through work innovation as a mediating variable for fashion entrepreneurs in Surabaya. This research is a quantitative involving 69 fashion entrepreneurs who are supported by the Surabaya Trade Office. Data distribution was carried out using online questionnaires from November to December 2020. Hypothesis testing was carried out by the path analysis. The results of this study include: competence and self-efficacy are proven to have a positive influence on business performance; the use of information technology is proven to not influence business performance; work innovation cannot mediate the influence of competence on business performance; work innovation is proven to fully mediate the influence of the information technology usage on business performance; work innovation is proven to mediate some of the self-efficacy influence on business performance.

Abstract

AbstractSustainable development is a key principle in the current era, covering ecological, socio-cultural and economic aspects. This article reviews the integration of sustainability in festivals, particularly in Indonesia. Festivals are an important part of Indonesia's rich culture and attract tourism, but often have negative impacts on the environment and cultural aspects. This article provides a literature review that describes festivals and their impact on sustainability, and examines the role of identity in festivals. The research method used is qualitative. The discussion highlights the importance of respecting cultural heritage, integrating sustainability concepts, reducing waste, wise site selection, education and awareness, and collaboration with local communities in sustainable festivals. In conclusion, sustainable festivals not only safeguard the natural environment, but also promote and preserve valuable cultural heritage. With the right approach, festivals can be a powerful tool to support ecological and cultural sustainability simultaneously. future research can use a broader method so that the discussion becomes more structured and systematic, then further data and explanations can be more detailed so that the discussion of ecology and socio-culture on the sustainability of this festival becomes a fresh topic and is easily understood by the general public.Keywords: Ecology; Social; Socio-Culture; Festival SustainabilityAbstrakPembangunan berkelanjutan merupakan prinsip utama dalam era saat ini, mencakup aspek ekologi, sosial-budaya, dan ekonomi. Artikel ini mengulas integrasi keberlanjutan dalam festival, khususnya di Indonesia. Festival merupakan bagian penting dari budaya Indonesia yang kaya dan menjadi daya tarik pariwisata, namun seringkali memiliki dampak negatif pada lingkungan dan aspek budaya. Artikel ini memberikan tinjauan literatur yang menggambarkan festival dan dampaknya terhadap keberlanjutan, serta mengkaji peran identitas dalam festival. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Hasil pembahasan menyoroti pentingnya menghormati warisan budaya, mengintegrasikan konsep keberlanjutan, mengurangi limbah, pemilihan lokasi yang bijak, pendidikan dan kesadaran, serta kolaborasi dengan komunitas lokal dalam festival berkelanjutan. Kesimpulannya, festival yang berkelanjutan tidak hanya menjaga lingkungan alam, tetapi juga mempromosikan dan melestarikan warisan budaya yang berharga. Dengan pendekatan yang tepat, festival dapat menjadi alat yang kuat untuk mendukung keberlanjutan ekologi dan budaya secara bersamaan. untuk penelitian yang akan datang bisa menggunakan metode yang lebih luas sehingga pembahasan menjadi lebih terstruktur dab sistematis, kemudian data dan penjelasan lebih lanjut dapat lebih rinci sehingga pembahasan tentang ekologi dan sosial budaya terhadap keberlanjutan festival ini menjadi topik yang segar dan mudah dipahami oleh khalayak ramai.Kata Kunci: Ekologi; Sosiologi; Sosial-Budaya; Keberlanjutan Festival

Abstract

This research aims to measure the influence of transformation leadership on work engagement through self-leadership. Quantitative research method using non-probability sampling and purposive sampling technique of 156 employees. Data analysis techniques using Smart PLS software with hypothesis testing using PLS-based SEM. The results of the research show that transformation leadership has an effect on work engagement through self-leadership in employees of PT Innovation Teknologi Kosmetika. The research conclusion is that the higher the level of transformational leadership carried out, the greater the work engagement and self-leadership

Abstract

Industri karpet di Indonesia berkembang pesat dan menghadapi persaingan ketat, termasuk PT. Syam Sukses Sakato di Medan. Penelitian ini meneliti faktor desain produk, kustomisasi, dan pengaruh sosial terhadap minat beli konsumen karpet PT. Syam Sukses Sakato. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada konsumen karpet PT. Syam Sukses Sakato dan analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain produk tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap minat beli konsumen. Meskipun desain produk memiliki peran penting dalam menarik perhatian konsumen, faktor lain seperti harga dan kualitas produk lebih dominan dalam mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian. Sebaliknya, kustomisasi memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap minat beli konsumen. Konsumen lebih tertarik pada produk yang dapat disesuaikan dengan preferensi pribadi mereka. Pengaruh sosial tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap minat beli dalam penelitian ini, menunjukkan bahwa keputusan pembelian konsumen cenderung lebih dipengaruhi oleh faktor individu daripada faktor sosial.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of organizational learning culture and self-efficacy on students' academic performance, considering motivation as an important mediator. Using quantitative methods and a survey of students at Airlangga University, data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling techniques (SEM-PLS). The findings show that motivation has a significant positive impact on academic performance. Although organizational learning culture does not have a significant direct effect, self-efficacy proves to be a strong factor. Motivation emerges as an important mediator in the relationship between self-efficacy and students' academic performance. Limitations of this study include a sample limited to Airlangga University, which may not represent the entire student population, and a focus on a few factors without considering other potential variables. Based on these findings and limitations, further research with a larger and more diverse sample is recommended. Future studies can explore other factors influencing academic performance, such as learning environment, social support, and psychological elements. A deeper understanding of organizational learning and self-efficacy on academic performance can make a significant contribution to the educational literature.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menjabarkan serta membuktikan peran budaya organisasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja anggota dalam organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi terbukti memiliki peran penting bagi kelangsungan kegiatan organisasi himpunan mahasiswa atau kinerja anggota organisasi tersebut. Budaya organisasi di lingkungan himpunan mahasiswa tersebut sangat baik. Kemudian ditambahkan dengan kinerja anggota di himpunan mahasiswa juga sangat baik. Salah satu faktor pendukungnya yaitu budaya organisasi yang mendukung dan memanusiakan anggotanya. Para pemimpin organisasi sudah seharusnya peduli dengan budaya organisasi karena akan berdampak langsung pada kinerja anggotanya, seperti kualitas dan kuantitas meningkat, antusiasme tinggi, berkontribusi dan merasa penuh bertanggung jawab. Walaupun demikian, pimpinan organisasi tetap harus mengevaluasi kinerja anggotanya secara berkala. Dengan adanya penilaian kinerja, organisasi memiliki informasi untuk menjadikan kinerja SDM menjadi lebih baik lagi.

Abstract

Sharing knowledge (Knowledge Sharing) is considered important to encourage employee behavior to improve employee performance and influence the results that leaders want for their members, for this reason the author concentrates on finding answers to what factors influence a person's decision to share their knowledge with colleagues. This research examines theories related to knowledge sharing behavior, by concluding 37 journals that discuss knowledge sharing. The author concludes that there are many factors that influence knowledge sharing behavior. The research started by searching for data on journal banks such as Scopusm, Emerald, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and other supporting websites, after that the author studied and grouped the antecedents of this knowledge sharing behavior, and concluded that knowledge sharing behavior was discussed in 5 different journals as an antecedent of knowledge behavior. This sharing and behavior is influenced by several factors such as organizational commitment (OC), ethical leadership (EL). Transformational Leadership, and Trust, as well as knowledge sharing research have been widely researched in various organizational sectors, especially profit organizations.

Abstract

The festival is one of the activities aimed at preserving a culture. There are many different cultural festivals in Indonesia, including the Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF), which is a major annual event. This festival showcases the beauty of flowers and ornamental plants from all over Indonesia and from other countries as well. The purpose of this research is to analyze the symbols and meanings such as flowers, traditional clothing, dance, and music that are used to strengthen local identity and provide a unique experience for visitors. The methodology used in this research is a case study conducted on the festival held in Tomohon City, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. This research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and observation of several individuals involved in the event, such as visitors, participants, and organizers. The results show that TIFF has various cultural symbols and meanings that represent the identity of Tomohon City. Symbolic interactionism communication at the Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF) also creates a positive atmosphere and strengthens social relationships among them. It can be concluded that symbolic interactionism communication plays a significant role in understanding social interaction in the context of a festival.
