Abstract

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in all corners of the world has made all activities from various sectors difficult and even experience complete paralysis. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, a crisis emerged in various organizations engaged in the medical and non-medical fields. With the crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a transformational leadership role is needed as a form to overcome feelings of worry, fear, and anxiety that arise in healthcare workers. The purpose of this review is to examine the resilience of healthcare workers amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through well-established adopted questionnaires, data were collected from healthcare workers (N=134) treating COVID-19 patients in the Islamic Hospital in Surabaya, Indonesia. This type of research uses a quantitative approach, a sampling method with census technicalities, and the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis method. The results showed that transformational Leadership had a positive effect on health workers. Then, there was no significant influence of transformational Leadership on negative effects on health workers. At the same time, from positive effects, it was found to have a significant influence on the resilience of health workers of Islamic Hospital during the COVID-19 crisis.

Abstract

The absence of a tourism village development strategy can result in the potential of Tritik Village not being utilized properly as a tourist destination. This development strategy aims to help the community plan the development of their area as a tourist village so that they have an understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Researchers with the community formulate a strategy using a SWOT analysis that has been identified through interviews and observations through community empowerment activities in Tritik Village. Researchers present the results of the identification of the factors which are then processed into a SWOT analysis diagram so that they can help the community and stakeholders better understand and analyze it so that the right strategy is obtained in developing a tourist village in the Tritik Village area. The results of this study indicate that the strategy that can be applied is the Strenght Opportunity strategy in which the strategy is carried out by utilizing all strengths to seize and take advantage of opportunities as much as possible. Tidak adanya strategi pengembangan desa wisata yang diterapkan dapat mengakibatkan potensi wisata yang dimiliki pada Desa Tritik tidak termanfaatkan dengan baik. Strategi pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat merencanakan pengembangan wilayahnya sebagai desa wisata agar mereka memiliki pemahaman tentang faktor kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang dimiliki oleh desa tersebut. Peneliti bersama masyarakat merumuskan strategi dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT yang telah diidentifikasi dengan cara wawancara dan observasi melalui aktivitas pemberdayaan masyarakat di Desa Tritik. Peneliti menyajikan sebuah hasil identifikasi faktor-faktor internal yang meliputi faktor kekuatan dan kelemahan, serta faktor eksternal yang meliputi faktor peluang dan ancaman. Selanjutnya diolah ke dalam suatu diagram analisa SWOT agar masyarakat dan stakeholder lebih memahami dan menganalisa faktor-faktor tersebut sehingga didapatkan sebuah strategi yang tepat dalam mengembangkan desa wisata di wilayah Tritik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang diterapkan terlebih dulu adalah strategi SO (Strenght Opportunity) di mana strategi tersebut dijalankan dengan mendayagunakan seluruh kekuatan dalam mendapatkan dan atau memanfaatkan peluang sebesar-besarnya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of Organizational learning culture and Transformational leadership on Job performance through the mediating role of Job satisfaction in the banking industry. The method used is a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) to analyze data from frontliner employees in the banking sector in East Java. The results showed that Organizational learning culture and Transformational leadership have a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance and Job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is also proven to mediate the effect of Organizational learning culture and Transformational leadership on Job performance. The limitation of this study lies in a sample limited to frontliner employees in the banking sector in East Java, which may not represent the entire banking industry. Suggestions for future research are to explore additional factors that may influence the relationship between Organizational learning culture, Transformational leadership, Job satisfaction, and Job performance, and to expand the sample to various sectors and geographical areas

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between organizational culture, work environment, and transactional leadership on job satisfaction at PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA). The sample consisted of 80 workers. Questionnaire tabulation, validity, and reliability tests were used for analysis. Multiple linear regression was used for data analysis. The findings indicate that organizational culture can increase job satisfaction, and there is a positive relationship between organizational culture and job satisfaction. A positive influence of work environment on job satisfaction was also found. Moreover, a positive influence between transactional leadership and job satisfaction was discovered. Therefore, strengthening organizational culture, improving the work environment, and applying a transformational leadership style can increase job satisfaction and performance at PPA. Understanding and applying these concepts can improve employee satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and develop the Haniffa Kost management model with the goal of identifying effective solutions to address existing problems and improve service quality for customers. Additionally, the study examines whether the Haniffa Kost business model requires adjustments using the latest Business Model Canvas and Lean Canvas after applying competitor analysis and SWOT analysis concepts. Furthermore, the approach used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The research findings identify various key elements in the Haniffa Kost business model that need to be maintained or developed. Firstly, the market segment should remain focused on students and working professionals studying or working around the boarding house location, while innovation and diversification are crucial aspects to maintain Haniffa Kost's appeal and relevance. Developing capacity and facilities are important steps to meet growing demand, and social media communication is an effective way to market boarding house services. Improving service quality and sustaining innovation are key to maintaining competitive advantage. Additionally, the research designs relevant recommendations for changes to the Haniffa Kost business model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan obyek salah satu resort di kota Malang yang mengalami pertumbuhan bisnis cukup pesat di dalam lingkungan destinasi wisata Malang. Fokus penelitian ini adalah kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji mekanisme leader member exchanget terhadap job performance dengan menggunakan work engagement sebagai mediasi. Studi kuantitatif ini didasarkan pada data yang dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner yang diberikan kepada 100 responden karyawan tetap resort “XYZ” di Malang dan menggunakan teknik partial least square (PLS) untuk analisis data. Hasil analisis data menggunakan PLS menemukan bahwa work engagement memediasi hubungan antara leader member exchange dan job performance. Pengembangan kualitas hubungan leader dan karyawan amat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan di sebuat tempat

Abstract

Festival kuliner dalam beberapa dekade terakhir semakin populer di seluruh dunia. Kuliner merupakan media yang dapat membangun hubungan otentik langsung dengan tradisi maupun budaya, terlepas dari motif konsumen itu sendiri. Dalam ranah akademis, studi mendalam mengenai pengalaman pengunjung festival kuliner masih terbatas. Secara praktis, pengetahuan mengenai pengalaman pengunjung festival kuliner ini penting untuk pengorganisasian festival kuliner di masa depan. Studi ini akan mengeksplorasi keragaman pengalaman pengunjung festival kuliner menggunakan  pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pengunjung festival kuliner Rujak Uleg. Festival Rujak Uleg diadakan setiap tahun di Surabaya untuk memeriahkan peringatan Hari Jadi Kota Surabaya dan melestarikan kearifan kuliner lokal Surabaya. Temuan menunjukkan keragaman pengalaman yang dikategorikan dalam dimensi intelektual, sensorik, dan sosia. Dalam keilmuan bisnis makanan, penelitian ini dapat mendorong para pelaku bisnis makanan untuk turut mengenalkan produk kulinernya dalam berbagai festival agar dapat lebih dikenal masyarakat. Selain itu bisnis makanan yang sedang dijalankan juga dapat memperoleh evaluasi dari pengalaman pengunjung yang hadir di festival tersebut.

Abstract

Teacher performance significantly determines the quality of education, and various methods are employed to enhance it. Factors influencing teacher performance include personal, organizational, and managerial aspects. This study aims to examine the role of organizational commitment in the relationship between collaborative leadership and teacher performance. Participants in this research were recruited using purposive sampling, and the criteria included permanent teachers with a minimum of 2 years of experience, totaling 195 individuals.  This correlational study utilized Leadership Scale, Organizational Commitment Scale, and Teacher Performance Scale to collect data, which were then analyzed through the Hayes Process Model 4. The findings indicate a relationship between collaborative leadership and teacher performance (r=0.759, p<.01) and organizational commitment with teacher performance (r=0.450, p<.01). Commitment serves as a mediator in the relationship between collaborative leadership and teacher performance, with an indirect effect value of 0.047, se=0.018, cl (0.015 – 0.089), confirming all hypotheses in this study. The study shows that teacher performance is influenced by the collaborative leadership style of the school principal mediated by the organizational commitment of the teachers.  To enhance teacher performance, school principals can employ a collaborative leadership model and strengthen organizational commitment.

Abstract

Koperasi Srikandi Roda Jatim is a cooperative consisting of women who work as Ojek Online (OJOL) drivers in Surabaya city. As an effort to prosper the members, this cooperative actively participates in the bazaar. However, it was found that the bazaar activities that were followed were not balanced with product sales, meaning that the product was empty of buyers. The target audience of this activity is cooperative members who live in Surabaya and require special attention such as having the status of a single parent, belonging to a Low Income Society (MBR), having children with special needs or disabilities. This community service activity is the implementation of SDG's no. 5 on gender equality and SDG's no. 8 on decent employment opportunities and economic growth. The problem experienced by partners is the lack of knowledge and skills of product arrangement display when participating in the exhibition. The purpose and hope of this activity is that the members of the Srikandi Roda Jatim Cooperative in Surabaya City have the knowledge and skills to displays when participating in the bazaar in the hope that the products on display can attract the attention of visitors and are interested in buying so that the standard of living and welfare of the cooperative members can be realized.

Abstract

This research explores the role of MSMEs in improving Indonesia's socioeconomic conditions, with a focus on Kampung Jahit Nusantara Cooperative in Surabaya. MSMEs play an important role in absorbing labor, increasing GDP, and helping poor families escape poverty. The Kampung Jahit Nusantara Cooperative, based on labor-intensive housing, provides economic opportunities for local residents and improves the lives of poor families. Despite their positive contributions, these MSMEs face several challenges, such as weak reserve funds, unstructured financial reports, lack of digital marketing, low product quality, and lack of knowledge regarding employee manners. This research was conducted through field observations, interviews, and SWOT analysis. The results show that MSMEs have the potential to improve Indonesia's socio-economic conditions, but need to overcome some of the challenges faced.
