Abstract

The revised 2013 curriculum requires skill assessment by involving students' characters. In giving an assessment, a teacher performs one unit that cannot be separated from one another between the assessment of skills and the assessment of character in students. With the demands in assessing the 2013 revised Curriculum, the purpose of community service activities is to assist teachers in making character-based skills assessments. The method used in this activity is training and mentoring, with partner schools is Pontianak 11 State Junior High School. There were 32 participants in the training and mentoring activities, while 20 people filled out the response questionnaire. The results of the training showed that the participants involved were very enthusiastic, and followed the activities to completion. Based on the questionnaire given, overall it was found that the mastery of the teacher on character-based skills assessment was 85.75% with good categories. In detail, the character aspects of the 2013 curriculum are 91.75%, and the skills assessment is 79.75% the teacher states that they master well.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the strengthening of student character education through a mathematical disposition strategy in Elementary Statistics. The sample of this study was 30 students of the 3rd semester of Biology Education. The research method used was experimental and the research firm was quasi-experimental. Data collection techniques are measurement techniques, namely initial ability tests and mathematical disposition scales. The results of this study indicate that character education can be enhanced or strengthened by a mathematical disposition strategy. That is by increasing high confidence in solving problems, not easily discouraged and asking questions, having prepared before starting learning such as reading the material or other references, knowing the role of mathematics related with everyday life and knowing that success in mathematics subjects can support progress in other disciplines.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the number of visitors to the small library of TPA Nurul Hidayatullah. The method in this study was a descriptive survey techniques. Based on visitor data is known that the number of visitors was increased and decrease at different condition. Number of visitor was increase when the new books or magazine come and it was decrease when the condition is not supporting. It can be concluded that to build interest in reading needs to be supported by the availability of reading material, as well as reading facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop pop-up module related to human digestive system of class VIII SMPN 3 Sungai Raya, and to discover students’ responses to the developed module. The Research and Development (R&D) method was conducted comprised 5 stages such as research and data collection, planning, product draft development, limited product testing, and the revision to the operational product. The product was evaluated by 2 validators to measure  it’s feasibility by testing the contents, language, course, and graphic aspects. The test was employed to determine the students’ responses in the cognitive, affective, and conative aspects. The subjects in this study are the 8th-grade students of SMPN 3 Sungai Raya with 12 preliminary field test students. The validation of each showed a value of 1.00 with a high category. Limited trials showed that the averages of cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions were respectively 94,72%, 92,01%, 89,58% and the average of the students’ responses were 92,10%, categorized very strong. Therefore, the Pop-up module is feasible for teaching material and the response given by the student’s is positive.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve students’ learning outcomes through video-assisted STAD of cooperative learning types. The topic of study was the interaction between living things and their environment, which taught in the class of VII A SMP Islam Bawari, Pontianak. This research adopted a classroom action research (CAR) with two cycles which executed in two meetings. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The instrument for data collection included learning observation sheets and learning achievement test. In the implementation of the video-assisted STAD model, all stages in cycle I and II were entirely (100%) implemented following the planned learning design. The average student learning outcomes increased from 77.00 (cycle I) to 86.60 (cycle II) with the percentage of completeness (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal, KKM) of 76% and 92% for the cycle I and II, respectively. Overall, the implementation of STAD, which was assisted by the video, succesfully improved students’ learning outcomes on the topic of interaction between living things and their environment of class class VII A SMP Islam Bawari.

Abstract

This study purpose to determine the effect of the SAVI (Somatic Auditory Visualization Intellectualy) learning model assisted by flipchart media on the learning outcomes of stundents in the concept of biodiversity concept in class X SMA PGRI 1 Pontianak. The from of research used was quasy experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted ot two classes, namely class xa as an experimental class and class xb as acontrol class, the technique used in sampling is technique. The instrument used was a multiple choice with 20 items. The average score of the experimental class learning outcomes 14,21 while the control class 12,83. U-Mann Whitney test result abtained that Zcount (-2,47) < -Ztable (-1,96) these result indicate there are differences in learning outcomes of students who are taught with the SAVI learning model assisted by flipchart media and who are taught using conventional models. Through the calculation of the effect size, the SAVI learning model assisted by flipchart media has an effect of 25,17% on the learning outcomes of grade X stundest of SMA PGRI 1 Pontianak.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dalam dua siklus, tiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitain adalah kelas VII A MTs Mathla’ul Anwar berjumlah 36 peserta didik. Hasil belajar peserta didik Siklus I nilai 81,11 ketuntasan sebesar 75% dan hasil belajar peserta didik Siklus II nilai 88,70 ketuntasan sebesar 91,67%. Secara keseluruhan, penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup kelas VII A MTs Mathla’ul Anwar. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran inkuiri pada materi klasifikasi hidup dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar

Abstract

The goal to be achieved in this study is to analyze the quality of the exam questions even semester 2015/2016 school year in Biology Education program. This research uses descriptive method. With the object of research about the exam semester even the academic year 2015/2016 in Biology Education program. Exam analyzed amounted to 14 subjects consisting of 81 questions. The instrument used is the documentation of the exam of the semester of the academic year 2015/2016. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive analysis including data reduction, systematic data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The result of the research shows that the quality of the final exam of the semester of the academic year 2015/2016 in the Biology Education study program is obtained by the low level knowledge aspect of 81.48%, and the high knowledge aspect of 18.52%.

Data was collected using the Publish or Perish application with search keywords related to medicinal plants in Indonesia, namely Indonesian medicinal plants and Indonesian herbal plants. The data storing in the form of Microsoft Excel 2013 and RIS. Microsoft Excel 2013 was used to analyze the development of the number of publications, the productivity of the authors, and the top most widely used articles for citations. The VOSViewer application version 1.6.17 using to analyze the relationship between research topics, trends, and the most frequently researched research topics. The results of this study show that the highest publication occurred in 2021, 177 publications (20.30%), while the lowest publication occurred in 2011 with 21 publications (2.41%). The 5 most productive researchers in publishing articles in 2011-2021 are Elya, B, who produced 14 published articles; Coal, who produced 13 published articles; Nisyawati and Silalahi, M produced 10 published articles; and Subositi, D produced 9 published articles. In this study, the topic that was most cited was Indonesia. Network visualization is divided into 4 clusters. The latest topics based on data from articles in this study, namely plants, traditional medicine, and medicinal plants, were the most published in 2017-2019. The most published topic was Indonesia, followed by topics such as medicine, analysis, and areas.
