Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of Aisyiyah in early childhood education (PAUD) and efforts to instill Islamic values from an early age in Indonesia through a qualitative approach using the case study method. The research focuses on PAUD institutions' management, curriculum development, and the teaching methods applied. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation at several Aisyiyah PAUD institutions in various regions in Indonesia. The research results show that Aisyiyah focuses on cognitive aspects and integrates character education and Islamic values into the curriculum. An Islamic and conducive learning environment is also created to support learning. This research also highlights the challenges Aisyiyah faces in implementing Islamic education in the modern era, such as limited resources and the influence of modern technology. Nevertheless, Aisyiyah overcame this challenge through various educational and social programs that strengthened her commitment to community development and education based on Islamic values. This research's findings can significantly contribute to developing Islamic-based early childhood education in Indonesia. Islamic religious education, starting from an early age, has a crucial role in shaping children's character and morals, ensuring they grow into individuals with strong moral and spiritual integrity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of gadgets on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in elementary school students. In the growing digital era, gadgets have become an almost inseparable tool in everyday life, including in learning activities. The use of gadgets can have both positive and negative impacts on students' learning process. The positive impacts include wider access to learning materials, interactive educational applications, and ease of communication and collaboration. This study uses a quantitative approach by taking a sample of all students in grades IV and V of SDN 2 Dwijaya Musi Rawas to objectively measure the relationship between the variables of device use and PAI learning outcomes, data analysis is carried out through reliability and validity tests so that accountable data is obtained. As well as descriptive analysis to measure the extent to which the use of gadgets affects PAI learning outcomes. T test was also conducted which aims to measure whether or not there is an influence of the use of gadgets on PAI learning outcomes. The results showed that the proper use of gadgets can increase students' motivation and understanding of PAI materials, but excessive and undirected use actually reduces learning outcomes. Therefore, an effective strategy is needed in utilizing devices as a learning medium that supports optimal learning outcomes

Abstract

This study explores the important role of Muhammadiyah Sufism in building character, optimising the purification of students' beliefs, and exploring the positive impact of the Islamic spirituality approach implemented by Muhammadiyah. The research method used involves qualitative data collection with a phenomenological approach involving semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation with Muhammadiyah educational actors who have implemented the Sufi approach, namely the principal, teachers, and several students of Muhammadiyah Elementary School, Lahat. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman method, which focuses on the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion, for data validity techniques using triangulation. The research findings show that Muhammadiyah Sufism can strengthen the beliefs of Muhammadiyah Elementary School Lahat students, increase a deep understanding of Islamic teachings, and form positive characters in living their daily lives. This can be done through spiritual practices such as reading the Qur'an, sunnah prayers, dhikr, and sunnah fasting. This study also found that the implementation of Sufism in Muhammadiyah education helps students recognise and avoid practices inconsistent with pure Islamic teachings, such as excessive tawassul (circumambulation) and extreme meditation. Thus, Muhammadiyah Sufism education serves as a tool to purify faith and shape individuals with noble character and positive societal contributions. This study emphasises the importance of integrating Sufi values into the educational curriculum to create a generation that is intelligent, ethical, and capable of facing the challenges of the modern era. A limitation of this study is its limited focus on Muhammadiyah Elementary School in Lahat, which may reduce the generalizability of the findings regarding the implementation of Sufism in the broader context of Muhammadiyah education.
