Abstract

In today's increasingly competitive era, Islamic education faces significant challenges in maintaining its relevance and enhancing its competitiveness. Many Islamic educational institutions struggle to attract public interest, both in terms of academic quality and institutional management. One potential solution lies in visionary leadership combined with a strong corporate culture. Visionary leadership not only sets the institution’s direction and goals but also fosters innovation and strategies that adapt to changing times. Meanwhile, a robust corporate culture establishes a solid institutional identity, strengthens loyalty, and creates a conducive environment for educational growth and development. This study employs the library research method by analyzing various relevant literatures to understand the relationship between these concepts in the context of transformative Islamic education. The findings indicate that the synergy between visionary leadership and corporate culture enhances institutional competitiveness, broadens its appeal to the public, and ensures sustainability amid globalization. The study’s implications emphasize the need for managerial reform in Islamic educational institutions to remain relevant, innovative, and highly competitive in the digital era.

Abstract

Islamic university students today face serious challenges in the form of low learning independence. Many of them still depend on their lecturers' guidance, lack initiative in exploring knowledge, and are not yet fully capable of managing their own learning independently. This study aims to examine how the development of the MBKM curriculum in PTKI can enhance students' learning independence and support the realization of impactful campuses. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, conducted at Nahdlatul Ulama University Surabaya (UNUSA) and Yudharta University Pasuruan. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, with data analysis using data condensation, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. The research results show that the development of the MBKM curriculum at both universities encourages students to learn actively, independently, and reflectively through programs such as internships, entrepreneurship, teaching on campus, and community service. Independent learning is reflected in students' ability to manage the learning process, make decisions, and take responsibility for their learning achievements. In addition, Islamic values also frame this process, resulting in learners who are not only academically excellent but also ethical and contribute significantly to society. Thus, the contextually developed MBKM curriculum has proven to be an important instrument in shaping independent students while also realizing an impactful campus.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between inflation and rice prices in Tulungagung Regency during the 2021–2022 period. The data used is secondary data in the form of monthly inflation records and monthly rice prices obtained from official BPS publications. The research approach uses a quantitative method with Pearson correlation analysis to assess the direction of the relationship as well as the strength of the association between the two variables. The results of the analysis showed that the correlation value was 0.746 with a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). These findings confirm that inflation has a significant and strong positive relationship with rice prices. Thus, an increase in inflation tends to be followed by an increase in rice prices during the study period. This study provides an empirical overview related to food price dynamics and the influence of regional macroeconomic conditions, especially on staple food commodities. The findings are expected to contribute to policy considerations in controlling inflation and maintaining price stability of essential food commodities at the regional level.
