This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of peer group learning method in improving the college students’ achievement. This research uses one group pretest and posttest design. The population is non-formal education students of State University of Padang who take Education Statistics Subject in January-June 2017, consists of two classes each of which is control group and experimental group. There are 30 students in the control group and 41 students in the experimental group. The data obtained from the students’ learning result during January-June 2017 and analyzed using t-test statistical technique. The purposes of the research are (1) peer tutor is a strategy to help fulfilling the students’ need; (2) peer tutors will be proud of their role and they will learn from their experiences as tutor; and (3) peer tutor’s help can eliminate the students’ clumsiness. The research findings indicate that the students’ learning result with conventional learning method is unsatisfactory, the peer group learning method can improve the students’ learning result, and there is a significant difference between the students’ achievement learned with the conventional method and learned with the peer group method.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi belajar anak di TPA/TPSA Musholah Nurul Huda Kampung Sungai Sirah. Diduga di sebabkan oleh kurangnya kepercayaan diri anak anak di TPA/TPSA Musholah Nurul Huda Kampung Sungai Sirah., penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Melihat Kepercayaan Diri terhadap anak Di TPA/TPSA Musholah Nurul Huda Kampung Sungai Sirah 2) Melihat Motivasi belajar anak Di TPA/TPSA Musholah Nurul Huda Kampung Sungai Sirah, 3) Melihat Hubungan Kepercayaan Diri dengan Motivasi Belajar Anak di TPA/TPSA Mushollah Nurul Huda Kampung Sungai Sirah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak yang mengaji di TPA/TPSA Muholah Nurul Huda Kampung Sungai Sirah Kec. Sutera Kab. Pesisir Selatan tingkat al-qur’an yag berjumlah 35 anak yang dijadikan sampel pada penelitian ini dengan menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunaka angket, data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan rumus korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: 1) kepercayaan diri anak dikategorika rendah; 2) Motivasi belajar anak dikategorikan rendah; 3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dengan motivasi belajar anak di TPA/TPSA Musholah Nurul Huda Kampung Sungai Sirah. Saran penelitian yaitu: 1) Diharapkan bagi nagari/pemerintah agar lebih memperhatikan lagi kepada pendidik yang mengajar mengaji agar memberikan gaji yang sesuai denga jasa yang diberikan oleh pendidik, dengan demikian sebagai pemicu bagi pendidik untuk lebih semangat dalam mengajar mengaji. 2) diharapkan bagi pendidik dapat menumbuhkan tingkat kepercayaan diri anak dan mendorong anak untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan dirinya seperti memberikan semangat dan dukungan bagi anak, sehingga anak termotivasi untuk bangkit dari rasa kurang percayaan dirinya; 3) Diharapkan kepada setiap anak untuk selalu mempunyai kepercayaan diri sehingga apa yang diinginkan dan yang diharapkan pada diri tercapai dengan baik, seperti dengan memiliki kepercayaan diri yang tinggi maka kita aka termotivasi untuk melakukan apa saja yang bisa dilakukan untuk mencapai suatu tujuan yang diharapkan.

The development of early childhood in social behavior in RT 03 RW 06, Sapih Sungai Kelurahan, Kota Padang, in low low category. This is allegedly due to the low social control in the community. This study aims to reveal the picture of social control of society, the image of social behavior of early childhood, and the relationship between the two variables. This research is correlational type research. The population of this study was 68 people and 60% were sampled, with stratified random sample technique. Data collection tools used questionnaires and analysis techniques using the formula percentage and product moment. The results of the study included: (1) community social control in the low category, (2) early child social behavior in low category, (3) there was a significant correlation between social control of society and social behavior of early child. Suggestions in this study other than to the parents, the community needs to improve social control of the community so that children have social behavior that can be accepted well in the community.

Level moral development in early childhood in Kenagarian Lunang Barat, Kecamatan Lunang, Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan is still low category. This is allegedly due to the low attention give by parents. This study aims to reveal a picture of the attention given by parents to children, a picture of the level of early childhood moral development and the relationship between the two variables. This research is correlational research, with population and sampled are parent. Sampling with area random sampling technique. Tools for data collection used in the form of questionnaires and data analysis technique using the formula percentage and product moment formula. The results of the study include: (1) Attention given by the parents is still low category. (2) The level of early childhood moral development is still low category. (3) There is a significant relationship between the attention given to parents and the level of early childhood moral development. The suggestions in this study are that parents need to improve understanding, knowledge, and increase attention to children, so that children can show the good level of moral development.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi orang tua memasukkan anaknya ke lembaga PAUD di Jorong Sianggai-anggai Kecamatan Hiliran Gumanti Kabupaten Solok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan: (1) status sosial, (2) motivasi orang tua, (3) hubungan antara status sosial dengan motivasi orang tua. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 25 orang tua yang mempunyai anak usia dini di Jorong Sianggai-anggai. Sampel penelitian ini di ambil 55% dari populasi yaitu 31orang dengan menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) status sosial orang tua rendah, (2) kurangnya motivasi orang tua, dan (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara status sosial dengan motivasi orang tua di Jorong Sianggai-anggai Kecamatan Hiliran Gumanti Kabupaten Solok.

This research is motivated by, the scout member in SMA Adabiah Padang has good discipline, allegedly caused by the leadership of scout leader. The purpose of this study is to describe the leadership of scout leader which includes: the leadership of the coach in moving the scout leader's leadership in guiding the scout members, and the leadership of the builder in influencing the scout members. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population in the study amounted to 230 people. Sampling technique in this research is random sampling technique. The number of samples in this study is 46 members of Boy Scouts on extracurricular scout activities. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, while the data collection tool uses a list of statements. Data analysis techniques using the formula percentage. The results showed that the leadership of scout extracurricular activities is very good, it can be seen from: (1) the leadership of the supervisor in the move, (2) the leadership of the supervisor in directing, (3) the leadership of the supervisor in influencing. It is suggested to the principal to increase the leadership of scout leader, to the coach in order to maintain the leadership system, to the scout members in order to apply it in everyday life.

This study is based on the effectiveness of learning outcomes pf high learning citizens, motivation and high learning activeness. This condition is suspected because of the excellent professional competence of the instructor. The purpose of the study is to see the competence of the instructor in 1) planning the lesson, 2) carrying out the learning, 3) evaluating the learning, 4) developing the learning of the English course. The population is forty-six people and the sample is forty-six people determined based on sampling technique that is the sensus method. Data collection techniques used questionnaire data collection tool-using questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use percentage calculations. The results showed that the professional competence of the instructor was very good seen from 1) planning the learning, 2) implementing the learning 3) evaluating the learning, 4) developing the learning. Conclusion instructors have excellent professional competence. The professional competence of this instructor will influence the improvement of the learning outcomes of the learners.Keywords: Competence, Professional Instructor

The research motivated by the low of study result of santri, which is suspected because of the low of parent support received by santri at MDA Nurul Haq Nagari Cubadak Kecamatan Dua Koto Kabupaten Pasaman. This study aims to (1) describe the support of parents, (2) describe the students' learning outcomes, and (3) to see the relationship of parent support with students learning outcomes. The type from research is quantitative correlational. Population in as many as 40 people santri. The sampling technique used stratified random sampling. Samples taken as much as 50% ie 20 people. Data collection techniques are questionnaires, while data analysis uses the percentage formula and Saperman Rho. The results of the study found that (1) Parental support is categorized as low. (2) Students' learning outcomes in categorized are still low. (3) There is a significant relationship between parental support and student learning outcomes at. Suggested (1) To parents, to further improve the provision of support to children (2) To the students are expected to be more active in learning so that the results obtained high learning (3) To the next researcher, in order to see other factors that have not been studied in research this.

This research describes the effectiveness of using powerpoint media on adolescent learning in the mosque Air Tawar Timur. The population in this research is 40sampels, with a total sample of 20 people using a cluster sampling technique. The main instrument of this research is observation. Based on the research, result of uji hipotesis is thitung> ttable(2,09 <9,30>2,86). The difference in control class increase to experiment class is significant. This research is motivated by the low discipline of children aged 6-7 years in the Jambak Village, Batipuh Panjang District, Padang City, because the children have not been able to control their behavior and have not been able to form their mental or character. The objectives of this study were (1) The lack of parental attention to children's discipline. (2) The lack of willingness of the child to be disciplined. (3) The influence of an unfavorable environment. This research is a correlational study with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were 50 children aged 6-7 years and the sample in this study was taken as much as 75% or consisting of 37 children aged 6-7 years using the Random Sampling method, techniques in data collection using a written statement (questionnaire) and data collection tool in the form of a list of statements. The data analysis technique uses the percentage and product moment formulas. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Parents' attention to children aged 6-7 years in Jambak Village, Batipuh Panjang Village, Padang City is categorized as poor. (2) The discipline of children aged 6-7 years in Jambak Village, Batipuh Panjang Subdistrict, Padang City is categorized as low. (3) There is a significant relationship between parental attention to the discipline of children aged 6-7 years in Jambak Village, Batipuh Panjang Village, Padang City. It is hoped that further researchers will be able to examine new variables so that they can complete the variables in their research.Keywords: Parental Attention, Child Discipline
