Abstract

Resilience is an important aspect for the psychososial development of adolescents who living in orphanages. Self-esteem is suspected to affect resilience of adolescents who living in orphanages. The purpose of this research is: (1) describes self-esteem and resilience adolescents who living in orphanages, and to know (2) the relationship between self-esteem and resilience of adolescents who living in orphanages. This research uses correlational method. Subjects in this research were 87 adolescents who living in 4 orphanages in Pariaman City with 13-18 of age. The data was collected using self-esteem scale and resilience scale. The data were analyzed using simple regression analyses by utilizing program SPSS 20.0 for Windows. Research results showed that: (1) generally self-esteem and resilience adolescents who living in orphanages are in the high category, and (2) there was significant positive relationship between self-esteem and resilience of adolescents who living in orphanages.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran dikelas khususnya pada materi matematika dan siswa lebih banyak sibuk dengan aktivitas sendiri saat belajar matematika dikelas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis serta hasil belajar siswa kelas V. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan objek penelitian ataupun hasil penelitian. Subjek penelitian ini populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas V di SDgugus 2 kecamatan 2 x 11 Kayutanam tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Hasil Uji linieritas menunjukan nilai Fhitung = 1,421 lebih kecil dari Ftabel = 3,06 , dengan sign = 0,120 lebih besar dari 0,05, dengan demikian hipotesis nol diterima dan bentuk regresi dapat dinyatakan linear pada taraf nyata = 0,05, artinya bentuk regresi yang digunakan untuk variabel kemampuan membaca (X1), Motivasi belajar (X2), terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan soal cerita matematika (Y) dikategorikan linear. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kemampuan membaca terhadap kemampuan pemecahan soal cerita matematika siswa, terdapat pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan soal cerita matematika siswa, terdapat pengaruh kemampuan membaca dan motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan soal cerita matematika siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya aktivitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sehingga menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar pada pembelajaran matematika khususnya kelas V di SDN 14 Kinali. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis serta hasil belajar siswa kelas V. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamataan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN 14 kinali, yang berjumlah 21 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian yang diketahui bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa 37,58% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 61,38% pada siklus II, aktivitas kegiatan guru 80% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 86,6%, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dari 38,09% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 76,19% pada siklus II serta hasil belajar siswa 71% pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 95% pada siklus II. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika melalui Pendekatan Problem Based Learning di SDN 14 Kinali dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sehingga hasil belajar siswa juga meningkat.

Abstract

Non formal education is education that is very important to exist in the community. One form of part of education outside of school is women's empowerment which is an effort to improve the abilities and skills of women where women are always considered weak so that an empowerment is needed. There are 3 indicators in this study: 1. Financial management, 2. Timeliness 3. Borrowing rules. By using descriptive quantitative research methods. Abstract

Tutoring institutions are part of the educational path outside the school which aims to serve the community. The role of tutoring institutions is very important, especially among school students, ranging from elementary school, junior high school, final high school. As well as any factors that affect the management of learning at the Exis Kota Padang Tutoring Institute. The sub-variables are focusing on learning planning, learning organizing, learning implementation, and learning evaluation. This research uses a quantitative descriptive type approach. The population taken in this study is students who follow tutoring at the Exis Kota Padang tutoring institution. Sampling technique is random sampling, the sample taken is 20% of each level of education in the study institution Exis Kota Padang which amounted to 42 people. Data collection techniques use questionnaires. Then the data collection tool used is through questionnaires and google form. In data analysis techniques use percentage formulas. The results of the research obtained, namely first, in the learning planning made by the institution proved to run well and correctly it can be seen from the alternative answers given and most respondents answered very satisfactorily. Second, in organizing the learning made by the institution proved to run in accordance with expectations it can be seen from the alternative answers given and most respondents answered very satisfactorily. Third, in the implementation of learning carried out by institutions proved to run well and there are no obstacles that can be seen from the alternative answers given and most respondents answered very satisfactorily. Fourth, in the evaluation of learning conducted by the institution proved to be going well and correctly it can be seen from the alternative answers given and most respondents answered very satisfactorily.

Abstract

This research starts from the lowest emotional development of early childhood in the Ujung Gurun Village, Padang City. One of the contributing factors is the apparent lack of parental attention from early childhood parents. The purpose of this activity is to describe parental attention and emotional development of early childhood and also to see the relationship between parental attention and emotional development of early childhood in Ujung Gurun Village, Padang City. The approach used in this study is quantitative with a correlational approach. The total population is 32 people who are parents of early childhood while the sample is 10 people. The sampling method used is the stratified random sampling method. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire and the tool is in the form of a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is product moment. The results of the study found that parents' attention was low and it was also seen that the emotional development of early childhood was included in the low category. A significant relationship was found between parental attention and early childhood emotional development. Suggestions are expected for parents to be able to improve the emotional development of early childhood through the attention given.

Abstract

Mathematics learning has so far not developed students' ability to solve problems. This can be seen from the difficulties of students in solving problems found in mathematics subjects. The purpose of this study in general is to examine the effect of PBL models and learning motivation on the mathematics learning outcomes of Class IV of SD Negeri 1 Batang Anai District, Batang Anai District, Pariaman Regency. The method used was a quasi-experimental design with 2x2 factorial design. The experimental and control groups were recruited by purposive random sampling. Data were analyzed by two-way variance t-test and analysis. The results showed that there were significant differences in learning outcomes between students taught with PBL models rather than students taught with conventional approaches, and between groups of students who were high and low motivated learning. There is no significant interaction between PBL models and learning motivation towards learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) whether reading ability has an effect on the ability to solve math story problems in grade V SD in Padang teaching 2019/2020; 2) whether there is an effect of student learning motivation on the ability to solve math story problems in grade V SD in Padang City, 2019/2020 teaching; and 3) whether there is an effect of reading ability and student learning motivation on the ability to solve math story problems in grade V SD in the city of Padang teaches 2019/2020. The results showed that the results showed that the effect of reading ability on the ability to solve math story problems was F 23.86> F 4.15. The influence of learning motivation on theme 6 sub-theme 1 learning 4 is F 68.27> F 4.15 and the influence of reading ability and student learning motivation on the ability to solve math story problems F 62.78> F 4.16. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between reading ability and student learning motivation on the ability to solve math story problems in 4th grade elementary school students in Padang City 2019/2020.

Abstract

The ability to mathematically thinkingcritically and creatively is a very important skill for every student in learning mathematics. To improve this ability, it is necessary to have a learning approach that allows students to make observation and exploration in order to build their own knowledge. In general, three-dimensional geometry is difficult to explain by teachers in class and difficult for students to understand. Problem-based learning with SIDIA software is one of the lessons that can be applied in the class. The main objective of this research on three-dimensional geometry is to examine the increase in critical thinking and mathematical creative abilities between students who receive SIDIA software-assisted problem-based learning and students who receive conventional learning, the relationship between mathematical critical and creative thinking abilities, and students' attitudes towards this learning. The subjects of this research are the students of SMA Negeri in Padang City with a sample of class X students. Based on the results of the data analysis, it showed that students who received problem-based learning assisted by SIDIA software are better than students who received conventional learning. There is a significant relationship between the ability to mathematically thinkingcritically and creative, and in general students who get problem-based learning assisted by SIDIA software show a positive attitude.
