Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan hasil akhir dari produk makanan untuk pembelajaran Entrepreneurship. Bagian ini menarik karena bahan dasar kue bola-bola terbuat dari labu kuning sebagai bahan utamannya sekaligus pengganti tepung terigu. Labu kuning memberikan banyak manfaat bagi kesehatan tubuh, terkhusus untuk kesehatan mata. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan uji organoleptik produk kue spesial labu bola-bola dan uji SWOT untuk mengevaluasi produk sebelum dipasarkan. Ketersediaan bahan baku menjadi kekuatan dari produk kue spesial labu bola-bola ini. Penilaian uji organoleptik menonjol pada kategori warna dan tekstur donat dengan tingkat kesukaan masing-masing 96,3% dan 88,88%. Inovasi ini menghasilkan kue spesial labu bola-bola dengan toping luar yang disukai.

Abstract

Dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di SMK Bina Insan Provinsi Riau, tim pengabdi berinisiatif untuk melibatkan diri dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di lembaga mitra, yakni SMK Bina Insan Provinsi Riau di Kecamatan Siak Hulu. Fokus utama kegiatan ini adalah memberikan dukungan dalam pengembangan kompetensi pendidik agar mereka dapat memahami dan mengimplementasikan metode pembelajaran yang lebih efektif. Misi utama yang diemban adalah mengatasi celah pemahaman yang masih ada di antara pendidik, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih produktif. Dengan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang metode pembelajaran, diharapkan SMK Bina Insan Provinsi Riau dapat mencapai target pengembangan kompetensi siswa. Analisis situasi yang dilakukan sebelumnya membuktikan bahwa terdapat kekurangan dalam penerapan metode pembelajaran, dan melalui pengabdian ini, siswa dapat memanfaatkan pelatihan yang diberikan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dalam Bahasa Inggris, membawa mereka ke arah peningkatan kompetensi yang diharapkan. Sebagai hasilnya, dari interpretasi temuan melalui kuisioner diasumsikan bahwa siswa tidak hanya memiliki keterampilan membaca yang lebih baik dalam Bahasa Inggris, tetapi juga dibekali dengan keterampilan berpikir kritis, imajinasi, dan rasa ingin tahu yang akan mendukung keberhasilan mereka dalam menghadapi kompleksitas dunia yang semakin terglobalisasi.

Abstract

Students with special needs often face unique challenges in identifying and pursuing career paths that align with their abilities and interests. Previous studies have shown that tailored career guidance and vocational training can significantly enhance their career prospects and independence. This study explores the career interests of students with special needs at SMALB Pangudi Luhur, Jakarta, using the Strong Interest Inventory (SII) to identify interests across various fields such as STEM, Marketing, Sales and Services, Hospitality and Tourism, and Education and Training. The research, involving 30 students aged 17-21, reveals that many career options align with their visual abilities, while abstract and high-intelligence roles are less feasible. The findings highlight the need for tailored career guidance programs that include hands-on training and practical experiences to help these students understand and pursue suitable career paths. This study underscores the importance of vocational training and self-awareness in fostering career independence for students with special needs. It provides a basis for developing inclusive and culturally relevant career counseling programs.

Abstract

The evolution of distance learning has led to the widespread adoption of synchronous and asynchronous learning models, each offering unique advantages and challenges for students and educators. Synchronous learning provides real-time interaction, fostering immediate feedback and engagement, while asynchronous learning offers flexibility, enabling students to learn at their own pace. Understanding the effectiveness of these two models is essential for optimizing digital education strategies in higher education. This study aims to compare the impact of synchronous and asynchronous learning on student engagement, knowledge retention, and academic performance. A mixed-methods research design was employed, integrating quantitative analysis of student achievement data with qualitative insights from learner surveys and instructor interviews. Findings indicate that synchronous learning enhances real-time engagement and collaboration, whereas asynchronous learning promotes independent learning and accommodates diverse schedules. Statistical analysis reveals that both models contribute to academic success, but their effectiveness varies based on learner preferences, course design, and technological access. The study concludes that a blended approach, combining synchronous and asynchronous elements, may offer the most effective learning experience. Future research should explore long-term outcomes and best practices for integrating both models in diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

Reading is a critical skill that contributes significantly to academic success and personal growth, especially at the High School level. Therefore, this study explores the relationship between Reading Motivation, Reading Comprehension, and Online Humorous Reading Content among high school pupils. Leveraging a correlational design and quantitative research methods, data was collected from 186 eleventh grade pupils through questionnaires and tests. Statistical analysis, including Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), was used to test the relationship between variables. Findings showed a significant effect of Reading Motivation on Reading Comprehension, with Online Humorous Reading Content as a moderating variable since the acceptance of alternate hypotheses (Ha) had been obtained. Specifically, Online Humorous Reading Content was found to increase pupils’ interest in reading and reduce barriers to reading comprehension, thus improving overall reading performance. This study underscores the importance of incorporating entertaining reading materials into the curriculum to foster engagement and improve learning outcomes. Undeniably, these findings contribute valuable insights for educators aiming to improve reading skills and create a stimulating learning environment in high school settings.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara efikasi diri dan dukungan sosial dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada siswa kelas IX di SMP Negeri 1 Cibadak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 165 siswa kelas IX. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan tiga instrumen penelitian, yaitu instrumen Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) yang merupakan hasil adaptasi dari Ramadanti (2021), sedangkan instrumen General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) dan instrumen Procrastination Assessment Scale-Student (PASS) diadaptasi oleh peneliti. Hasil uji validitas menunjukkan semua butir valid. Uji reliabilitas pada GSES sebesar 0.720, MSPSS sebesar 0.864 dan pada PASS sebesar 0,902. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara efikasi diri dan dukungan sosial dengan prokrastinasi akademik, hal ini menjelaskan bahwa efikasi diri dan dukungan sosial tidak terbukti sebagai faktor yang mempengaruhi prokrastinasi akademik.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPeningkatan hasil Selada (Lactuca sativa L.) hidroponik sistem sumbu dapat dilakukan apabila faktor-faktor pendukung pertumbuhannya terpenuhi, terutama faktor ketersediaan nutrisi tanaman. Larutan AB-mix merupakan nutrisi pada budidaya hidroponik yang menyediakan unsur hara untuk kebutuhan tanaman. Penambahan nutrisi nitrogen dari sumber lain dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman karena meningkatkan kandungan protein yang terbentuk sehingga pertumbuhan tanaman lebih baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh dan konsentrasi pupuk nitrogen yang tepat dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil selada pada hidroponik sistem sumbu. Penelitian dilaksanakan Juni-Agustus 2023 di Desa Panca Jaya, Kecamatan Muara Kaman, Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan terdiri dari 5 taraf, yaitu: d0: 0 mg urea/l air; d1: 100 mg urea/l air; d2: 200 mg urea/l air; d3: 300 mg urea/l air dan d4: 400 mg urea/l air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan pupuk nitrogen berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan tinggi tanaman pada umur 7, 14, 21, 28, 35 dan 42 hari setelah pindah tanam (HSPT), pertambahan jumlah daun umur 14, 21, 28, dan 42 HSPT, berat basah tanaman, dan panjang akar. sedangkan pertambahan jumlah daun pada umur 7 dan 35 HSPT, berat basah akar, berat kering tanaman, dan berat kering akar tidak berbeda tidak nyata pada tanaman selada sistem hidroponik sumbu. Berat basah tanaman selada terbaik pada sistem hidroponik sumbu diperoleh pada konsentrasi pupuk nitrogen 200 mg nitrogen/l air; 300 mg nitrogen/l air dan 400 mg nitrogen/l air. ABSTRACTIncreasing the yield of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) using a hydroponic wick system can be done if the factors supporting its growth are sufficient, especially the availability of plant nutrients. AB-mix solution is nutrition for hydroponic cultivation which provides nutrients for plant needs. The addition of nitrogen nutrition from other sources can be done to increase plant growth because it increases the protein content formed so that plant growth is better. This research aims to determine the effect and appropriate concentration of nitrogen fertilizer in increasing the growth and yield of lettuce in a hydroponic wick system. The research was carried out June-August 2023 in Panca Jaya Village, Muara Kaman District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The study used a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatment consisted of 5 levels, namely: d0: 0 mg urea/l water; d1: 100 mg urea/l water; d2: 200 mg urea/l water; d3: 300 mg urea/l water and d4: 400 mg urea/l water. The results showed that the addition of nitrogen fertilizer had a significant effect on increasing plant height at ages 7, 14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 HSPT, increasing the number of leaves at ages 14, 21, 28 and 42 HSPT, plant fresh weight and root length. while the increase in the number of leaves at the ages of 7 and 35 HSPT, root wet weight, plant dry weight, and root dry weight were not significantly different in lettuce plants with the wick hydroponic system. The best wet weight of lettuce plants in the wick hydroponic system was obtained at a nitrogen fertilizer concentration of 200 mg nitrogen/l water; 300 mg nitrogen/l water and 400 mg nitrogen/l water.

Abstract

In the era of revolution industry, it is believed that the integration of technology in the language learning activity widely increase. The purpose of the research was to investigate the implementation of multimedia as technology integrated in the Translation course learning activity. A quantitative approach is employed in this study with 47 students from English Education Department of Univesitas Lancang Kuning selected by using total sampling technique. This research was descriptive quantitative using survey design. The data collected by using a Likert Scale questionnaire with three indicators of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) namely perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitude toward using. After that, the data was analysed by using descriptive statistic. Overall, it was found that the statistical data of multimedia implementation in the Translation course is about 3.99. It is claimed into “moderate” category. It indicates that the multimedia implementation in the Translation course helps the students to be more confident during the class. It also makes students enjoy the learning process. Multimedia also made the learning process become effective and efficient

Abstract

This study aims to highlight and evaluate the issues at an in-depth level to provide different solutions that are expected to be a reflection for the government, especially the Ministry of Education and Culture, to be able to improve the implementation and monitoring of the Kampus Mengajar Program. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, and the data were collected from a focus group discussion with students of the English Education Study Program at Universitas Lancang Kuning, then the data was analyzed descriptively. The results highlight some problems in the implementation of the Kampus Merdeka Program. These included a lack of coordination and clear communication between stakeholders, which led to confusion among students and schools, uneven targeting of schools, inadequate support for the program, and credit conversion, resulting in frustration and challenges. Addressing these issues, the study recommended increased socialization of the program, transparency in credit equivalency, and more accurate school data collection. In conclusion, this research offers several solutions that are expected to reflect the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) that the Kampus Mengajar Program faces various challenges in its implementation, which need to be addressed for the program to effectively meet its goal of improving education in the 3T areas.

Abstract

ABSTRAKHutan mangrove merupakan salah satu ekosistem yang mendukung keberadaan berbagai organisme hidup, salah satunya yaitu makrozoobenthos. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui asosiasi antara kerapatan mangrove dengan kelimpahan makrozoobenthos dengan vegetasi yang berbeda. Penelitian dilakukan di Labuhan Mangrove Education Park menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada 9 plot transek berukuran 10x10 m menggunakan metode line transect dan setiap plot transek terdapat sub-plot berukuran 1x1 m. Ditemukan sebanyak 19 spesies makrozoobenthos dari 3 kelas (Gastropoda, Bivalvia, dan Crustacea) dengan kelimpahan individu berkisar antara 0,06–17,89 ind/m2 dan kelimpahan per pengulangan sebesar 2,80-9,63 ind/m2. Indeks keanekaragaman makrozoobenthos tergolong rendah hingga sedang (0,57–1,52), indeks keseragaman dalam kategori rendah hingga tinggi (0,32–0,68), serta indeks dominansi yang tergolong tidak ada hingga ada spesies yang mendominasi (0,32–0,76). Hasil uji Pearson menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,249 (p 0,05) yang artinya tidak ada asosiasi yang signifikan antara kelimpahan makrozoobenthos dan kerapatan mangrove.Kata Kunci: Asosiasi, Kelimpahan, Makrozoobenthos, Mangrove, Labuhan Mangrove Education ParkABSTRACTMangrove forests are one of the ecosystems that support the existence of various living organisms, one of which is macrozoobenthos. This study aims to determine the association between mangrove density and macrozoobenthos abundance with different vegetation. The study was conducted at Labuhan Mangrove Education Park using a quantitative descriptive method with purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out on 9 transect plots measuring 10x10 m using the line transect method, and each transect plot had a sub-plot measuring 1x1 m. A total of 19 macrozoobenthos species from 3 classes (Gastropoda, Bivalvia, and Crustacea) were found, with individual abundance ranging from 0.06 to 17,89 ind/m2 and abundance per repetition of 2,80-9,63 ind/m2. The macrozoobenthos diversity index was classified as low to moderate (0,57–1,52), the evenness index was in the low to high category (0,32–0,68), and the dominance index was classified as no to dominant species (0,32–0,76). The Pearson test results showed a significance value of 0.249 (p 0,05), which means that there is no significant association between macrozoobenthos abundance and mangrove density.Keywords: Association, Abundance, Macrozoobenthos, Mangrove, Labuhan Mangrove Education Park
