Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMP Negeri 2 Diwek and its problems. A qualitative approach was used with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and observations. The results showed that the Merdeka Curriculum had been implemented for one year through student-centered learning, the development of the Pancasila Student Profile, and the provision of flexibility in choosing teaching materials. The obstacles found included the diversity of student characteristics, low motivation, limited facilities and infrastructure, difficulties in assessment, teacher workload, and limited learning time. Recommended solutions include mapping student characteristics, differentiated instruction, increased motivation, development of instructional media, assessment training, coordination to reduce teacher burden, optimization of time allocation, integration of PAI values, and student guidance services. Collaborative implementation of these solutions can improve the quality of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation in PAI learning to realize national education goals.

Abstract

Creative writing teaching is challenging since teachers should facilitate students to use their imagination creatively and to produce it in the form of poetry, prose or drama writing.  Translanguaging method in foreign language teaching, which allows students to use other language beside the target language is a strategic way to make students to express their imagination without pressure and at once to gain students’ awareness of creativity by appreciating students’ linguistic repertoire. The present study is experimental research which investigates translanguaging practice in creative writing teaching especially poetry writing. Conducted in a private University in Surabaya, the participants consist of 20 students from the sixth semester which are divided into two classes, 10 students are in control class (conventional treatment) and 10 students in experimental class (translanguaging practice). This research uses mix-methodology, by using quantitative method to know the result of poetry writing score of the students and qualitative method to do in-depth interview to students from translanguaging class. The result shows that the score of poetry writing of the students in translanguaging class are higher than those who are from the control class and the students feel enjoy with translanguaging in the poetry writing class.

Abstract

To prevent the life-threatening transmission of COVID-19, the Indonesian government requires educational institutions across the country to switch to online learning. These contactless meetings ensure that teaching and learning activities continue as they should be. The current research sought to find out what challenges teachers and students faced while online learning was applied and how they perceived the method. A total of three students and three teachers from SMPN 1 Gondang, Mojokerto, were interviewed to share their views on online learning. The researcher used guided questions to explore the participants’ responses. From the data collected, technological barriers and demotivation are common challenges faced by teachers and students of SMPN 1 Gondang, Mojokerto, in organizing and participating in online classes. Although they favored the flexibility, they cultivated rather negative views of it. Several recommendations have been made to address these issues, ranging from improving the school’s digital infrastructure, organizing training programs to fill literacy gaps, and encouraging parents to establish an effective learning environment for students, ensuring they can keep up with the classes.

Abstract

Background: Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) is a malignant neoplasm of non-keratinized cells in the basal layer of the epidermis, which is locally invasive, aggressive, destructive, and rarely metastasizes. BCC more commonly occurs in the elderly. The patient was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma (BCC) with complaints of black nodules on the face, itching, and bleeding easily. With Dermatological status obtained. The lesion ad regio Fascialis Dextra shows a solitary hyperpigmented nodule, nummular in size, well-circumscribed, and unilateral. Conclusion:Basal cell carcinoma is a malignant skin tumor originating from non-keratinizing cells in the basal layer of the epidermis.

Abstract

Background: Diffusion Weighted Imaging and Diffusion Tensor Imaging is an advanced technique in MRI that shows the diffusion in brain of ischemic stroke disease. Diffusion Weighted Imaging (DWI) shows the lesions without gadolinium contrast agent and produce Apparent Diffusion Coefficient values. Whereas, Diffusion Tensor Imaging (DTI) shows connectivity's of central nervous system that cannot be seen by using conventional MRI. Diffusion Tensor Imaging produces Fractional Anisotropy values. Purpose:This study has aim to analyze the Apparent Diffusion Coefficient values and Fractional Anisotropy values in Stroke Ischemic disease. Method: Total samples used are 14 samples, consist of 7 (50%) man and 7 (50%) woman with ischemic stroke disease. Each sample deals by Diffusion Weighted Imaging and Diffusion Tensor Imaging sequences. The Region of Interest (ROI) is placed in ischemic stroke lesions and contra lateral side of lesions. Result: The result shows that 9 samples of brain tissue lesions located in the right side and 5 samples in the left side. Right lesions have the average ADC stroke: 0.001748; normal ADC: 0.000954; FA stroke: 0.144522; and normal FA: 0.426111. While, left lesions have the average ADC strokes 0.000979; normal ADC: 0.000835; FA stroke: 0.2556; and normal FA 0.4324. Conclusion: So, the conclusion of this study is Apparent Diffusion Coefficient (ADC) values in case of ischemic stroke can decreases or increases depend on the age of stroke. While, the Fractional Anisotropy (FA) values will decrease without being affected by age of stroke.
