Abstract

The Sasak community of Gelumpang Hamlet in Mamben Daya Village, East Lombok, possesses a rich and culturally embedded system of address terms that reflects core values such as age hierarchy, social status, and communal solidarity. However, modernization and increasing contact with Indonesian and global languages have begun to influence the linguistic practices of younger speakers. This study aims to analyze the forms, functions, and factors influencing the use of address terms in this community. This study employed a qualitative sociolinguistic case study design. Data were collected through naturalistic observation, audio-recorded everyday conversations, and semi-structured interviews with Sasak speakers. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis and discourse analysis, involving transcription, coding, categorization, and sociolinguistic interpretation. The findings reveal that Sasak address terms consist of nominal and pronominal forms that are systematically used to index power, politeness, and social solidarity. Age and social status were identified as the most influential factors in address selection, while intimacy and situational context further shape usage patterns. Theoretically, these findings contribute to sociolinguistic studies by demonstrating how address systems function as mechanisms for negotiating social relationships. Practically, this research supports the documentation and preservation of Sasak linguistic and cultural practices in the face of social change. Nevertheless, this study is limited to a single community with a relatively small number of participants and a restricted observation period; therefore, the findings should be interpreted with caution and not overgeneralized.

Abstract

The increasing demand for globally competitive yet locally grounded education has encouraged many countries, including Indonesia, to implement dual-curriculum systems integrating national and international frameworks. In Indonesian K–12 schools, this integration commonly involves the national curriculum alongside international programs such as Cambridge, the International Baccalaureate (IB), and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). While this model offers opportunities to enhance global competence and academic quality, its implementation remains complex and multidimensional. Schools must navigate policy alignment, teacher readiness, curriculum integration, assessment compatibility, and stakeholder coordination simultaneously. Despite growing scholarly attention, existing studies on dual-curriculum implementation remain fragmented, often focusing on isolated variables and failing to provide a comprehensive systemic synthesis. Addressing this gap, the present study employs a PRISMA-guided Systematic Literature Review of 20 peer-reviewed articles published between 2015 and 2025. Through thematic and bibliometric analyses, the study identifies dominant implementation challenges and evolving research trends. As its primary contribution, the research proposes the Integrated Dual Curriculum Implementation (IDCI) Model, a theory-grounded framework designed to support sustainable dual-curriculum practice and inform policy, leadership, and instructional strategies in Indonesia’s evolving education system.

Abstract

Research on instructional leadership and school literacy has increased significantly; however, prior studies often examine leadership practices, collaboration, or literacy outcomes separately, resulting in limited integrative understanding of how these elements function as a coherent school-wide system. This study aims to systematically analyze how instructional leadership contributes to strengthening primary school literacy through organizational, collaborative, and instructional processes. A Systematic Literature Review was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 protocol. Forty-five open-access studies published between 2020 and 2025 were retrieved from Scopus and Google Scholar. The data were analyzed using thematic synthesis and bibliometric mapping with VOSviewer to identify dominant patterns, research clusters, and conceptual relationships. The findings indicate that instructional leadership positions literacy as a strategic school agenda through policy direction and supervision, effective implementation depends on structured collaboration among principals, teachers, and librarians, and systematic literacy management is consistently associated with improved student academic achievement. This study concludes that school literacy operates as a collaborative instructional ecosystem governed by leadership processes, offering a conceptual contribution to instructional leadership theory and guidance for coherent literacy policy and practice.

Abstract

Teachers’ psychological well being plays an essential role in supporting effective instruction and fostering positive teacher student relationships in elementary schools. However, increasing administrative workloads, emotional demands, and performance expectations pose serious challenges to teachers’ mental health. This study aims to systematically identify the main determinants of elementary school teachers’ psychological well being, examine intervention strategies discussed in recent literature, and map current research trends. A Systematic Literature Review was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Articles were collected using Publish or Perish from the Scopus and Crossref databases, limited to peer reviewed journal publications from 2015 to 2024. Following the screening and eligibility process, 40 articles were selected and analyzed using qualitative thematic synthesis and bibliometric mapping with VOSviewer. The findings show that internal factors such as self efficacy, emotion regulation, resilience, and psychological capital are the most consistent predictors of teachers’ psychological well being. External factors including workload, organizational support, school climate, and leadership practices also play a significant role. Overall, teachers’ psychological well being is shaped by the interaction of individual and organizational factors.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the strengths and challenges in formulating a strategy to support the development of the Balek Angin Lake area under the scheme of Sintang Lestari (Sintang sustainable development protocols). This research was carried out in May and June 2019, where field visits focused around the site of Balek Angin Lake located in Akcaya I and Jerora Satu Villages in Sintang subdistrict of Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan Province. This research used a descriptive-quantitative approach. The study uses questionnaires to 10 representative informants, in-depth interviews, and field observations in data collection. Data were analyzed descriptively and SWOT analyses were used to formulate the development strategy. The results of this study show some strengths supporting the development of the area as an ecotourism site, i.e. undisturbed ecosystems, well-protected fish both in quantity and species diversity, the existence of regulation protecting lakes issued by the head of local government (Sintang Regent), and the existence of local non-governmental organization whose concern in nature protection of Balek Angin lake and upstream of Jemelak River. The main challenge, however, includes the widening business area managed by local residents, such as sand mining, plantation and settlement, disposals from households leading into the lake, and the decrease of household income as the result of the decrease of the price of Sintang's primary commodities. SWOT analyses result in 2.779 : 2.203, which means a horizontal integration strategy where collaboration among different stakeholders is needed. The strategy to develop Balek Angin Lake as an ecotourism site includes the enhancement of the ecosystem through protecting the upstream-downstream area, collaboration of local community and local government through the integration of local community, local NGO, local government, funding NGO, local academia and other environment-conscious stakeholders. Keywords: Ecotourism, Sintang, strategy.
