Abstract

Sharia economic development faces epistemological challenges in responding to global changes and the growing demand for more inclusive and sustainable development models. The misalignment between the foundational pillars of Islamic economics and current planning practices highlights the need for a reinterpretation of development concepts. This study aims to examine the evolution of meaning and identify emerging paradigms in Sharia economic development, while reconstructing the relationship between its core pillars and strategic planning approaches. Employing a conceptual literature review method, the study systematically analyzes scholarly works from diverse primary and secondary sources. The findings reveal a shift from legal-normative interpretations toward value-based paradigms rooted in maqashid al-shariah and sustainability. Newly identified paradigms include spiritually-driven welfare development, structural justice, and the integration of maqashid with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study contributes to the theoretical enrichment of Islamic economic development and provides a conceptual foundation for more contextual and transformative policy design.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of visionary leadership style and organizational culture on employee performance, as well as to analyze the moderating role of innovation and digital competence within organizational settings in Indonesia. The research is motivated by the growing need to enhance employee performance amid organizational dynamics and digital transformation. This study employs a quantitative explanatory approach with a cross-sectional design. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale from 150 employees in public and private organizations across Indonesia. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, data quality testing, inferential and moderation analysis, and cause–effect mapping using the Fishbone (Ishikawa) Diagram. The results indicate that visionary leadership and organizational culture have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. Furthermore, innovation and digital competence significantly strengthen these relationships as moderating variables. The Fishbone Diagram structure confirms that employee performance is influenced by an integrated set of managerial, human resource, process, and technological factors. These findings highlight the importance of aligning leadership, organizational culture, and digital capability development to achieve sustainable improvements in employee performance.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of career development in increasing employee retention. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through several techniques, including in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that career development programs are proven effective in increasing employee retention, particularly through improving competency, motivation, and clarity of career direction, thereby increasing their loyalty and commitment to the organization. Although this program is effective as a retention strategy, equitable access to training and consistency of implementation still need to be improved so that its benefits can be felt by all employees.

Abstract

One type of economic crime that significantly affects both the integrity of the legal system and the financial viability of a country is money laundering (TPPU). This phenomenon is increasingly complex with advances in financial technology, which makes it easier for criminals to disguise the origins of criminal assets. This study aims to analyze the challenges and strategies for law enforcement against financial technology-based money laundering in Indonesia, using a normative legal approach through a review of applicable laws and regulations, doctrines, and legal policies. The study's findings show that, particularly when it comes to exchanging information and demonstrating the provenance of assets, coordination between law enforcement organizations like the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Police, and the Prosecutor's Office is still not at its best. Furthermore, Article 2 paragraph (1), Article 3, Article 4, and Article 5 of Law Number 8 of 2010 addressing TPPU have been canceled by the implementation of the new Criminal Code through Law Number 1 of 2023, so that harmonization of norms is needed to avoid a legal vacuum in its implementation. Future law enforcement strategies need to be directed at strengthening regulations that adapt to technology, increasing the capacity of law enforcement officers, and fostering cross-sector collaboration to strengthen reporting and prevention systems. Active public participation in anti-money laundering education is also a crucial element in creating a transparent and equitable legal system in the digital age.
