Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas remediasi dengan penerapan model pembelajaran generatif berbantuan media pictorial riddle pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak pada materi perpindahan kalor. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu eksperimen (Pre Eksperimen Design) dengan rancangan One Group Pre-Test Post-Test. Penelitian ini melibatkan 34 siswa kelas VIII B sebagai sampel yang dipilih secara intact group. Tes yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes diagnostik berupa pilihan ganda beralasan. Berdasarkan analisis data untuk seluruh konsep terjadi penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 36%. Efektifitas pembelajaran model generatif berbantuan media pictorial riddle termasuk dalam kategori sedang dengan effect size sebesar 0,63. Jadi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model generatif berbantuan media pictorial riddle efektif untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan oleh guru sebagai alternatif untuk memperbaiki miskonsepsi siswa dalam memahami konsep perpindahan kalor. Kata Kunci : Model Generatif, dan Pictorial Riddle Abstract: This research aims to determine the effectiveness of remediation by using the implementation of generative learning model with pictorial riddle media on Seventh Grade Students of SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak on heat concept. This research used experimental method (Pre Experimental Design) One Group Pre-Test Post-Test design. The sample of this research involved 34 students of class VIII B that was selected by Intact Group. Diagnostic test with multiple choice reasoned was used to obtain data. The percentage of decreasing student misconception is 36%. The effectivity of generative learning model through  pictorial riddle as a media is 0,63 (size effect). Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to analyze the student’s mistake make in answering questions about the kinetic theory os gas and finding the cause of the mistake. The method of this research was descriptive method. Essays dan interviews were the tools of data collection which were given to upper, medium,and lower level students. Sample of this research was 23 students 11th grade of SMAN 1 Kendawangan. The result showed that the kind of mistakes were unit mistake (59,13%), formula mistake (19,56%), count mistake (26,14%). Students often make mistake in deciding the unit because they were not careful, in rush and they cooperate as well. On the other hand, students made mistake in counting because they were not careful and in rush. Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning strategy to the learning outcomes of the students of class VII of heat transfer at Junior High School Kristen Maranatha Pontianak. The types of research used are quasi-experimental research design with nonequivalent control group design, the sample consisted of two classes of VII A as the experimental class and class VII C as the control class with a total sample of 67 students, which are chosen by the group intact. The tools of Data Collection used is in the form of a test of 7 questions. Based on t test obtained Asymp sig 0.000 <0.025  then Ha accepted means of learning outcomes of students who take poe learning strategies (experimental group) was higher than the students who take the conventional learning (control group). Thus it can be concluded that the learning strategy of POE can improve student learning outcomes by 43.62% with effect size 0.93 (high category). This POE learning strategy can be used as an alternative to physics learning in school.Keywords:  Learning Result, Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) Heat Transfer.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to develop a three tier diagnostic test using microsoft excel about dynamic fluid. The development of diagnostic test carried out identifying the characteristics of diagnostic test items and measuring the percentage of students perception of the three tier diagnostic test using microsoft excel. The Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall was used in this research. It was simplified into 7 steps, namely data collection, planning, product design, testing in a small scale, revision, testing in a large scale, and final product revision. The three-tier diagnostic test has 28 items of multiple choice questions accompanied by a choice of reasons and level of confidence. The diagnoctic test involved 32 students is small scale trials and 88 students in the large scale trials. Based on data analysis, diagnostic test developed is suitable to use based on the characteristics of having high content validity of 0.77, item validity is 24 valid questions, high reliability of 0.778, low difficulty level and readability level ≥ 6 that is 7.55 . The perception of students in this test is 83.10%. Thus, three tier diagnostic test questions that are suitable to use are 24 question out of 28 question planned. Keywords: Dynamic Fluid, Microsoft Excel, Three Tier Diagnostic Test

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah metode permainan Kokami dapat meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa dalam memahami materi gerak lurus beraturan (GLB) di kelas X SMAS Wisuda Pontianak.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Pre-Eksperimental Designdengan rancangan One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. Alat pengumpul data berupa tes pilihan ganda beralasan terbuka dengan tiga alternatif pilihan yang mempunyai tingkat reliabilitas 0,48 (KR.20).Hasil menunjukkan adanya penurunan rara–rata jumlah miskonsepsi siswa sebesar 46,7%. Remediasi dengan menggunakan permainan Kokami efektif untuk memperbaiki miskonsepsi siswa dengan rata–rata penurunan harga proporsi 0,58 ( 0,31<Δn< 0,70) tergolong sedang. Metode permainan Kokami sangat cocok digunakan untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa dikarenakan dengan adanya metode permainan Kokami, siswa menjadi sangat antusias dalam mengikuti pelajaran dan berperan lebih aktif serta kreatif dalam bekerja sama, sehingga metode ini dapat menjadi alternatif untuk diterapkan pada remediasi di sekolah.   Kata Kunci: Miskonsepsi, Remediasi, Permainan Kokami Abstract:The purpose of Pre-Experimental Research Design with One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design was used to remediate students’ misconceptionsin understanding regular straight  motion material in senior high school. Tolls of data collecting used is multiple choice test with three alternativeanswers with reliability0,48 (KR.20). This study involved 20 students in grade X of SMAS Wisuda Pontianak as the sample which had been chosen by intract group. The results of this study showed that the mean of students’ misconception had been decreased 46.7%. Remediating by using Kokami game was effective to improve students’ misconception with rate decreasement of student misconception 0.58 (0.31<Δn<0.70) classified as moderate. Kokami game was suitable to remediate students’ misconception because through that game, the students become more enthusiastic in following the learning processand more active and creative in a team work, it was concluded that this method can be an alternative to be applied to remediation in the school. Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to develop a three tier diagnostic test of temperature and heat subject in junior high school. This research explained the characteristics of diagnostic test. The method in this research was developed from Borg and Gall development model which has been simplified.The test consists of 30 multiple choice questions with reason and level of confidence. The test involved 31 students on small-scale trials, and 92 students on large-scale trials. The developing diagnostic test can be used to reveal the misconceptions of students, with the characteristics of 1) high validity level, 2) high reliability, 3) low difficulty level, 4) problems made with simple language 5) designed to detect common mistakes, 6) developed based on early conceptions of students. Based on the characteristics, a question that can be used as many as 13 questions from 30 questions developed. Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materiperubahan wujud zat melaluimodel pembelajaran problem based learning. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus di kelas VII.F SMP Negeri 23 Pontianak yang berjumlah33 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitiann ini adalah berupa tes hasil belajar siswa dan lembar observasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 11% dengan perolehan hasil belajar siswa siklus I sebesar 70% dan siklus II sebesar 81%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem based learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran perubahan wujud zat. Penerapan model pembelajaran ini sebaiknya dirancang dengan persiapan media belajar sebaikmungkin demi ketertarikan siswa terhadap materi yang dipelajari.   Kata Kunci :  Problem Based Learning, Perubahan Wujud Zat Abstact :This classroom action research aims to improve students’ learning achievement  in phase transition through learning model problem based learning. The study is conducted by two cycles in the class VII.F SMP 23 Pontianak involving 33 students . The instruments used to collect data in this research aretest and observation sheets .The resultshows an increase in student learning achievement by 11 % with the acquisition of student learning outcomes by 70 % the first cycle and the second cycle by 81 % . Based on the result it can be concluded the problem -based learning can improve students’  learning in phase transition . To apply this model, should lesson plan with the best possible preparation of learning media for the sake of interest of students to the material being studied .Keywords: Problem Based Learning , phase transition

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of the research was to knowed effectiveness about the application of Interactive conceptual intruction assisted refutation text to remedial student misconceptions on work in SMA Negeri 1 Semparuk Grade XII. The method of the research was experimental with one group pretest-posttest design which is 28 students participated. The results of data analysis showed that student misconception reduction after remediation was as much as 31,79 %. Interactive conceptual intruction assisted refutation text  effective to remedial student misconception on heat transfer with effect size Es = 2,48 (categorized was high). This research is expected to be used as an alternative remediation activities for students to be able overcome the misconceptions that experienced by students. Abstract

Abstract the misconceptions experienced by students, and this research can be used This study aims to produce a good diagnostic test to explore students' misconceptions about straight motion material. The form of the research is a development research that is directed to produce a diagnostic test in the form of multiple choice with three choices of answers in the SMA straight motion material that is used to detect the students’ misconception. The limited scale trial was conducted in class X MIA 1 Senior High School 7 Pontianak. Whereas the largescale trials was conducted in class X MIA 3 and MIA 4 Senior High School 2 Pontianak and students of class X MIA 1 and MIA 2 Senior High School 8 Pontianak. The results of this study is in the form of diagnostic tests that meet the characteristics of a good diagnostic test with 18 questions which was developed based on the misconceptions experienced by the students with difficulty level 0.31-1.00, readability level 4.72, level of content’s validation 0.70 and reliability 0.80. The findings of this study are expected to help physics teachers to overcome as further research material for other students of physics education programs.        Keywords: Diagnostic Test, Straight Motion

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to analyze and produce refutation-structured text handout to remediate student misconception on momentum and impulse. Research and Development (R&D) method used in this study which is adopted from seven steps Borg & Gall development. It involved 89 students from 3 schools in Pontianak and Kubu Raya whom participated in preliminary field and main field. Data collected by using validity questionnaire, student response questionnaire and diagnositc test. The result shows refutation-structure text handout has valid categories which are it can be seen from content feasibility 0,852 (very high criteria), presentation 0,821 (very high criteria), language 96,67% (very good category) and graphic 81,67% (good category). Students response on preliminary field and main field, respectively 81,30% (very high category) and 82,73% (very high category). The results of this study was expected could be used by teacher to remediate momentum and impulse misconception as an alternative media. Keyword: Development, Refutation-Structured Text Handout, Momentum and Impulse
