Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to develop a diagnostic test with google form application used to explore students’ misconceptions on momentum and impulse in Senior High School. This study applies a research and development design (R & D). Diagnostic tests are developed based on the students' initial concepts on momentum and impulse which is taken from several previous studies from physics education department UNTAN. The population of this study was conducted at state senior high school students in Pontianak. The sample of this research were 97 students from grade XI. This study delivered 15 items diagnostic test question which is divided into two categories; moderate and easy. The moderate questions were 13 items while the easy numbered 2 items. The content validity level of this study was 0.70. Then, the reliability showed 0.715. The level of legibility categorized as can be used in senior high school (5.13). Based on validation result above with index Aiken 1 and some students’ response data, google form aplication can be categorized as the high category (87,6%). So, google form application can be used for diagnostic test question. This research also is expected can be used by teacher in detecting students’ misconception on momentum and impulse.. Keywords: Diagnostic Test, Google Form, Momentum, Impulse

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model interactive demonstration pada materi perubahan wujud zat. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus dengan tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 38 siswa kelas VII G SMP Negeri 9 Pontianak. Alat pengumpulan data melalui tes, lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil tes penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata post-test siklus I sebesar 72 dan siklus II sebesar 78. Ketuntasan hasil belajar pada siklus I adalah 68%  sedangkan pada siklus II adalah 79% artinya terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar sebesar 11% dari siklus I ke siklus II. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Model Interactive Demonstration Pada Materi Perubahan Wujud Zat dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.   Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, Model Interactive Demonstration. Abstract: The aims of this research to improve the student learning outcomes using interactive demonstration model of the phase change material. This research is a classroom action research done as much as two cycles with the stages of planning, action, observation and reflection. 38 students were participated in this research. Data collection tools through testing, observation and documentation sheet. The test results of research showed the average value of the post-test cycle I was 72 and the cycle II of 78. Mastery learning outcomes in the cycle I is 68% while in the cycle II is 79% means an increase learning outcomes by 11% from the cycle I to cycle II. The results of this study indicate that the use of Model Interactive Demonstration in phase change material able to improve student learning outcomes. Keywords:  Learning Outcomes, Interactive Demonstration Model.

Abstract

 Abstract This study is aimed to discribe the perception of high school teachers toward the authentic assessment of performance on physics learning using the 2013 curriculum in Singkawang. The type of research used is survey research. Subject in this study are physics teachers who teach class X 2013/2014 academic year in Singkawang. Data collection tool used in the form of a questionnaire. Of the seven  respondents who filled the quetionnaire obtained the percentage of teachers’ perceptions of the authentic assessment of performance of 86,81% includes in good qualitative criteria, where as many as 50,95% stated strongly agree,as many 45,24% stated agree, as much as 3,81% stated disagree, and as much as 0% stated strongly disagree. These findings are expected to provide an overview of teachers perceptions of the authentic assessment of performance in the 2013 curriculum physics learning at Singkawang.Keywords: Perception, assessment of performance, curriculum 2013

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to develop learning media using website, and determinate the feasibility of learning media in the form website. This research is an R & D research that adopts the development of Borg &Gall that has been modified by Sugiono. Subjects in this research are students class IX SMPN 2 Pontianak. The type of data generated is qualitative data which is analyzed by guidance criteria of rating category to determine product quality using Likert scale. The results of this research are; 1) Produce website as a learning media; the product quality that has been developed is "very feasible" with percentage based on expert material appraisal, 75% by media expert equal to 97% and educator of junior high school with percentage equal to 90%; 2) developed learning media used for conceptual change in students using the McNemar test. Obtained a price of  is 16, thus it can be concluded that there?s change misconception.  Keywords: Research and Development, Learning Media, Website

Abstract

AbstractThe purposed of this research was to examine the effectiveness of integrated remediation misconception using ECIRR model to reduce the number of students misconceptions and to improve learning achievment about momentum and impulse at tenth grade of SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. This research was quasy experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The samples were determined by intact group techniqu based on homogeneous data, and obtained X MIA 1 as an experimental class, and X MIA 2 as a control class. The research instruments included 15 diagnostic test and 4 learning achievment test. Based on McNemar tes, the students conceptions changed significantly with ?2score of experimental class (70,78) and the control class (79,63). Based on U Mann Whitney test showed that value asymptote significance for the two-tailed test is 0,056 above 0.05 which means there were no differences on the learning achievment between the experimental class and the control class. The effect size integrated remediation misconceptionto to reduce the number of students misconceptions ((0,7016) and to improve learning achievment (d =4,62) was high. Thus, the use of integrated remediation misconception was effective to reduce the number of students misconceptions and to improve learning achievment about momentum and impulse. Keywords: ECIRR model, Integrated remediation misconception, Momentum and Impulse.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan tingkat efektivitas model pembelajaran generatif berbantuan eksperimen dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi getaran  di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 10 Pontianak. Metode penelitian adalah quasi eksperimental design dengan rancangan nonequivalent control group design yang dimodifikasi. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas IXE sebagai kelas eksperimen I dan kelas IXF sebagai kelas eksperimen II. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda yang disusun menggunakan metode Certainty of Response Index (CRI) termodifikasi  berjumlah 18 soal. Berdasarkan uji kesamaan dua proporsi juga diperoleh hasil Zhitung (0,09) ≤ Ztabel (1,96) yang menunjukan tidak ada perbedaan antara model pembelajaran generatif berbantuan eksperimen nyata dan model pembelajaran generatif berbantuan eksperimen virtual dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa. Penerapan model pembelajaran generatif berbantuan eksperimen nyata maupun virtual dapat menurunkan jumlah miskonsepsi siswa (ES=1,55). Model pembelajaran generatif berbantuan eksperimen diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif kegiatan remediasi untuk mengatasi miskonsepsi siswa. Kata Kunci: Remediasi, Miskonsepsi, Generatif, Eksperimen, Getaran Abstract: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the generative learning model with experiments in remediating students’ misconceptions on vibration in class VIII SMP Negeri 10 Pontianak. The research method was quasi experimental design with a modified nonequivalent control group design. The samples were IXE class as an experimental class I and IXF  as an experimental class II. The instrument used was multiple-choice test that were prepared by using the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) modified method with a total of 18 questions. Based on the equality test of two proportions obtained Zcount (0.09) ≤ Ztable (1.96), which showed no difference between the generative learning model with real experiments and generative learning model with virtual experiments in remediating students’ misconceptions. The implementation of generative learning model with both real and virtual experiments can reduce the number of students’ misconceptions (ES = 1.55). Generative learning model with experiments is expected to be used as an alternative remediation activities to solve students' misconceptions. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to develop comic teaching materials that are used as a medium to remediate students 'misconceptions in Archimedes' legal material in junior high school. The form of research conducted is research and development (R & D). Comic teaching materials are developed based on students 'misconceptions on Archimedes' legal material from some previous FKIP UNTAN physics education study programs. The sample in this study amounted to 99 students, namely from the eighth grade students of Pontianak City State Middle School. Comic teaching materials can be used to provide alternative teaching materials for teachers and students, based on the results of validation with the Aiken index of 1 level of validity seen in the validity of media theory, and language. Media validity is categorized as high (0.78), the validity of the theory is categorized as high (0.72) and the validity of the language is categorized as high (0.79) and the response data of students goes into the high category (85.02%). This study can be used by teachers in reducing student misconceptions in Archimedes law material, understanding the concept of learning and as an alternative teaching material for teachers and students.Keywords: teaching materials, comics, misconceptions, Archimedes law.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed to develop diagnostic test on Newton's law materials so that a test can be used to diagnose students misconceptions. The type of research conducted was research of development. The test was developed based on misconceptions which experienced by students on Newton's law material and was specially designed to detect students misconceptions. The results of the initial draft obtained 26 questions that had been validated by five lecturers and four teachers. The test was then tested in a small scale on 35 students of grade X in SMA Negeri 1 Pemangkat. Small-scale trial was conducted to determine the reliability and the level of difficulty of the questions. The results of the study on small-scale trial obtained the reliability value of 0.58. Furthermore, large-scale trials were conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Pemangkat, SMA Negeri 1 Semparuk, and SMA Negeri 1 Salatiga with the samples of 94 students. The results showed that there 15 questions of Newton's diagnostic test meet the diagnostic test criteria. It was indicated by the validator valuation of 0.82 for content validation, and reliability of 0.63, and readability level value of 5.67 which meant the test was easy to read by high school students.Keywords: diagnostics test, Misconception, Newton's Law

Abstract

Abstrak: Keberadaan bahasa ibu di Indonesia seperti ‘terlupakan’, padahal bahasa ibu memegang peranan penting dalam pembelajaran. Survei deskriptif sederhana ini diarahkan untuk menemukan bentuk miskonsepsi siswa dan menghasilkan model wawancara dalam bahasa ibu khususnya bahasa melayu Sambas. Sebanyak 12 siswa kelas V yang dipilih berdasarkan gender dan tingkat pengetahuan diwawancara. Teknik Interview About Instances digunakan sebagai model untuk menggali miskonsepsi siswa tentang perubahan wujud benda dalam peristiwa daur air. Ditemukan miskonsepsi siswa di semua konsep perubahan wujud benda pada peristiwa daur air, terutama pada kondensasi. Siswa menganggap peristiwa daur air hanya terkait proses mencair dan membeku. Di samping itu, terdapat perbedaan miskonsepsi siswa menurut gender dan tingkat pengetahuan. Pengembangan instrumen Interview About Instances yang lebih bernuansa lokal disarankan sehingga cocok dengan latar budaya responden terutama siswa usia sekolah dasar. Kata kunci: miskonsepsi, daur air, bahasa ibu Abstract: Mother tongue existence in Indonesia was being forgotten, whereas it plays a part in learning. Twelve students, representing gender and three distinct achievement groups were interviewed, using the Interview About Instances in mother tongue to probing students’ misconception. Simple descriptive survey was conducted. Students appear to have misconceptions about state changes of water cycle in all concept, primarily in condensation. In fact, interviews reveal that students tend to view water cycle as confined to freezing and melting. Besides that, there are differences of students’ misconception according gender and achievement groups. Developing the Interview About Instances instrument that will support more to each interviewees’ cultural identity especially for students in basic education age range is suggested. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui remediasi miskonsepsi menggunakan model pembelajaran guided discovery berpengaruh pada penurunan miskonsepsi siswa kelas XII IPA 3 SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak pada materi hukum Archimedes. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttest design dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa persentase rata-rata penurunan miskonsepsi siswa setelah diberikan remediasi sebesar 48,22%. model pembelajaran guided discovery efektif untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa dengan kriteria effect size sebesar 3,42 (berkatagori tinggi). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif kegiatan remediasi bagi siswa agar dapat mengatasi miskonsepsi yang dialami oleh siswa.   Kata Kunci: Miskonsepsi, Remediasi, Guided Discovery, fisika.   Abstract: The aims to determine the remediation of misconseption using guided discovery learing model to decline XII students miskonsepton sclence 3 SMA N 5 Pontianak on Archimedes law. This research used experimental design with one group pretest-posttest with 30 students. The result show the average percentage reduction in misconseption is 48,22%. Guided discovery lerning models is effectively to remediate misconseption with the effect size 3,42 (high category).
