Abstract

This study aims to identify the profile of students' science process skills in answering questions about effort and energy at Senior High School 8 in Pontianak. The research employs a descriptive correlational survey method without a comparative group. The sampling technique used in this study was random sampling, involving a sample size of 65 students. The analysis of students' science process skills yielded a score of 64.48%, falling within the "sufficient" category. There is a positive relationship between science process skills and student learning outcomes (r count 0.604 > r table 0.2404), and the Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05 indicates a significant relationship between science process skills and student learning outcomes. The contribution of science process skills to student learning outcomes is 36.48%. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the development of physics teaching strategies aimed at enhancing science process skills and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memahami dan mengetahui dan mengingatkan kembali bahwa memanfaatkan lingkungan sekolah dan lingkungan sekitar sekolah sebagai sumber belajar yang dapat dimanfaatkan dan dikelolah untuk proses pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, lebih khusus yang ingin dicapai dalam program ini antara lain untuk mengetahui sekolah dan pendidik sebagai sumber belajar, untuk mengetahui sekolah dan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar, untuk mengetahui lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar yang menyenangkan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan metode informasi, metode diskusi, dan metode tanya jawab, selain itu juga dibantu dengan metode ceramah. Hasil penelitian dalam pelaksanaannya, yaitu para pendidik cukup antusias dan senang dengan topik pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah sebagai sumber belajar yang menyenangkan, hal ini dikarena para pendidik minim mendapatkan informasi terkait sumber-sumber belajar yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini di sekolah menengah kejuruan atau SMK memberikan manfaat dan kontribusi terhadap pemahaman dan usaha yang dapat diterapkan pendidik dalam memanfaat lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar. Sebagaimana dalam temuan kegiatan pengabdian ini bahwa pada awalnya pendidik belum memiliki pengetahuan dan pengalaman yang jauh terkait memanfaatkan mengkolborasikan sumber belajar dalam pembelajaran

Abstract

Family factors are the most important aspect in the development of student learning outcomes, especially regarding the educational background of the student's parents. The issue of parental educational background is often related to student learning outcomes at school. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between parental education and student learning outcomes. This research uses experimental research analysis methods. Experimental research analysis is a research method whose aim is to find the influence between two variables (dependent and independent). The test used in this research method is the Pearson correlation (product moment) test. Data collection instruments were through mid-semester assessments for learning outcomes and through questionnaires for parent education data with a sample size of 14 people. Based on data analysis using the Pearson correlation test, a sig value was obtained 0.004 < 0.05 which proves that there is a relationship between the educational background of students' parents and learning outcomes and has a degree of relationship of 0.722 which is categorized as a strong relationship. So from this description it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the education of students' parents and the physics learning outcomes of class XI MIA SMAS Indonesia Muda Sungai Raya and this relationship has a strong status.

Abstract

This study explored the acceptance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in writing publications among senior high school teachers in Singkawang, adopting the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a framework. The research aimed to comprehend teachers' attitudes toward AI integration in their writing practices. AI, including tools such as Google Translate, Grammarly, QuillBot, ChatGPT, and Elicit, offers multifaceted benefits, enhancing writing productivity, providing real-time feedback, and assisting in language translation. The study involved 30 teachers, utilizing the final version of TAM to assess Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude toward Usage, and Behavioral Intention to Use. Results revealed a moderate level of acceptance, with 83.3% falling into the medium category. Descriptive statistics underscore positive perceptions, indicating that teachers recognize AI's potential benefits, yet qualitative insights are needed to explore barriers and variations in acceptance levels. Despite concerns of over-reliance and potential biases, AI tools significantly contribute to writing efficiency, accessibility, and democratization of information. The study recommends future research to investigate specific AI tool impacts and individual experiences for a more comprehensive understanding of AI acceptance dynamics among Singkawang teachers.

Abstract

Melalui penerapan pembelajaran tematik dengan mengimplementasikan prinsip Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) menggunakan alat peraga puzzle, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas hasil dan minat belajar siswa kelas 1 SD. Penelitian yang dilakukan di SDN Kotamadya Pontianak terhadap 22 orang siswa dengan bentuk penelitian tindakan kelas, yang menggunakan teknik pengukuran dengan menggunakan tes pemahaman konsep berbentuk isian singkat, observasi berpedoman serta catatan lapangan ini menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pemahaman konsep dan minat siswa pada pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, Matematika, IPA dan IPS meningkat setelah pembelajaran. Jadi secara umum pembelajaran PKR 211 berbantuan LKS dapat meningkatkan kualitas hasil dan proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) dan untuk mengetahui alasan siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal HOTS pada mata pelajaran gerak dan gaya di kelas VIII. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang melibatkan 50 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Pontianak. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes HOTS pilihan ganda dua tingkat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 50,39% siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS. Persentase kriteria kesukaran siswa sebagai berikut: kriteria kesukaran sangat tinggi 8%, kriteria kesukaran tinggi 16%, kriteria kesukaran sedang 46%, kriteria kesukaran rendah 30%. Setelah melakukan wawancara diketahui bahwa kesulitan yang dihadapi siswa disebabkan karena kesulitan dalam memahami soal-soal yang disajikan dalam bentuk grafik dan gambar, kesulitan dalam menganalisis soal cerita yang panjang, dan sebagian siswa masih lemah dalam memahami konsep-konsep dalam soal. topik tentang gerak dan gaya.

Abstract

Tulisan ini merangkum artikel penelitian yang membahas remediasi miskonsepsi fisika peserta didik SMA dalam kurun waktu 2016-2021. Tujuan penelitian ini merangkum bentuk kegiatan remediasi dan effect size masing-masing bentuk remediasi serta mengetahui pengaruh karakteristik penelitian terhadap signifikansi harga effect size. Tiga puluh artikel dipilih sebagai sampel dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Formulir observasi digunakan sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Instruksi remedial memiliki tiga bentuk, menurut hasil tes: integrasi, umpan balik, dan pembelajaran ulang. Umpan balik memiliki ukuran efek rata-rata terbesar dibandingkan metode remediasi mana pun, dengan ukuran efek sebesar 1,18 (n = 10, Sd = 1,18). Ciri-ciri teknik penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya variabel metode pengambilan sampel yang mempunyai dampak besar terhadap besaran dampak, meskipun karakteristik peneliti tidak berbeda secara signifikan dalam besaran dampak dalam operasi remediasi miskonsepsi. Latihan remedi efektif mengurangi miskonsepsi siswa, terlihat dari hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan rata-rata besar dampak sebesar 0,91 dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

Pascal's Law is one of the materials students must master in learning science. 36% of students' learning outcomes on Pascal's law did not reach the KKM, namely 71. So, there is a need for efforts to increase understanding of Pascal's law concepts, one of which is to develop learning multimedia. This study aims to produce an interactive multimedia website with a problem based learning model on Pascal's law material. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Dick, Carey, & Carey development model. This research and development resulted in the product "Mobil Pascal 8". The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 9 Simpang Hilir with 40 class VIII students as research subjects. In this study involved 9 validators, design experts, media, and materials. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. From the results of data analysis (in the range of values 1-5) this interactive multimedia website is declared "valid". Thus the analysis of empirical test data with individual test procedures, small groups, and field tests on 28 students, shows "very happy" using interactive multimedia websites with an average of 91.29%. As for the effectiveness test of the multimedia website, with the criteria of students' attitudes towards the multimedia website, and the pre-test and post-test scores involving 28 students it turned out that there was a significant difference with a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Sig value (2- tailed) < 0.05, it is declared valid and effective.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the influence of the use of instructional media, specifically PowerPoint and Scratch, on the learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at MTS Islamiyah Pontianak in the subject of Informatics with Computer System material. Using an experimental method and data analysis through SPSS, the results of the study indicate that there is no significant difference in learning outcomes between the group using PowerPoint and the group using Scratch as instructional media. This finding holds important implications for the development of instructional media in the context of Informatics education, demonstrating that both media options have an equal impact on enhancing students' understanding of Computer System material. These findings provide valuable guidance for the development of more effective and engaging teaching strategies in the digital education era.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the ability of students in science lessons on the material of forms and changes in energy which is still low in class V students at SDN 33 North Pontianak. Inappropriate learning media used is the cause of low learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the effect of Physics education technology (PhET ) simulation media on student learning outcomes on the material of energy forms and changes. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experiment method. The sample was selected using random sampling technique, class V A as the experimental class and V B as the kontrol class with a total of 60 students. The study used a Pretest -posttest kontrol group design with an acquisition technique in the form of multiple choice. The analysis used is normality test and paired sample T-test and independent t-test. Based on data analysis, a significant value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 was obtained, mean ing that H0 was rejected and Hα was accepted, with the results of the mean Posttest learning outcomes in the experimental class of 81.5 while the mean Posttest value in the kontrol class was 39.5. Based on the research, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using PhET on the science learning outcomes of students on the material of forms and changes in energy.
