Abstract

This research aims to present the evaluation result of a remedial program using the Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) model based on Technical Guidance by High School Directorate year 2010 in Physics Study in SMAN 1 Sekadau Hulu. This study is evaluative research with a descriptive quantitative approach. The data collection techniques used are by employing a questionnaire to the students of the MIA (Mathematics and Natural Sciences) Program, interviews with the school principal, deputy head of curriculum, and one teacher of Physics, as well as documentation. The research data analysis is through steps such as data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The data validation techniques used are the source and technique triangulation. The findings showed that (1) context evaluation carried out results in a percentage of 74.73%, categorized as sufficient. (2) Input evaluation carried out results in a rate of 56.88%, classified as low. (3) Process evaluation conducted results in a value of 74.07%, categorized as sufficient. (4) Product evaluation administered results in a percentage of 78.70%, categorized as high. The overall score of assessment on the remedial program in Physic instructions using CIPP evaluation is 71,09% with a category corresponding to the technical guidelines for the remedial program by the directorate of high school development year 2010. Therefore, this research is expected to contribute to improvements in remedial programs as a continuous effort in improving the quality of education programs.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of 5e learning cycle model in reducing students misconception on force concept in SMP Negeri 1 Jawai Selatan. This research was a pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. This research use intact sample of class VIII C which consist of 28 students. The result of data analysis showed that students misconception before remediation was 78,34% in the all concept of force. Meanwhile, after remediation the misconception decrease by 20,34% to 58% of all concept. The result of McNemar significance test on df = 1 and α = 5% showed x2count > x2table, were equal to 15,91> 3,84. There was a conceptual change on the students significantly. The effect size of this research attain a high result d = 1,242. With the result, 5e learning cycle model assisted animation concept effective to remediated class VIII C student misconception on force concept in SMP Negeri 1 Jawai Selatan.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effectiveness of the integrated remediation using booklet-assisted CORE leraning model to reduce students' learning difficulties about vibrations and waves at SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak. The research design is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design with 27 students in class VIII C as samples using the intact group technique. The instruments are two-tiered multiple choice tests to analyze students’ learning difficulties related to concepts and essay tests to analyze students’ learning difficulties related to errors in solving problems. Based on the results, it is found that: (1) Students’ total misconceptions decreasing by 84.2%. (2) There is a significant conceptual change in all test items. (3) All students’ total errors in solving questions decreased by 78.32% (4) There are significant difference between the number of students' initial and final mistakes. (5) The percentage of all students’ learning difficulties decreased by 78.91%. (6) The remediation integration using CORE model assisted by a booklet has a high effectiveness to reduce students’ learning difficulties. The result of this study is expected to be a consideration for teachers in designing learning difficulties’ remediation activities for students, especially about vibrations and waves.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a qualified diagnostic test that can be used to discover students’ misconceptions about energy in high school’s 10th graders. This research uses Research and Development (R&D) with the form of four tier test. The development of diagnostic test uses the adoption of Borg & Gall development steps that has been simplified into seven steps. The inisial design consists of twelve item of test of multiple choices. The trial step of this diagnostic test was done to 35 students in the in the small scale trial, and 91 students in the large scale trial. According to the data analysis, it can be concluded that the developed diagnostic test is qualified of the use to discover students’ misconceptions, because: 1) has higher validity than table validity, 2) has of reliabily of 0,783, 3) all items of the diagnostic can discover students’ misconceptions, 4) has a diffuculty index 0,38, 5) the level of readability of the questions 0,63. The qualified items that worth of use of this test are twelve items

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemahaman konseptual siswa tentang energi berdasarkan analisis instrumen tes empat tingkat. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 91 siswa yang diambil melalui teknik purposive sampling dari kelas X tiga SMA Negeri di Pontianak. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik empat tingkat yang terdiri dari 12 pertanyaan pilihan ganda. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa indeks Aiken-v adalah 0,73. Reliabilitas instrumen sebesar 0,783 dan memiliki tingkat keterbacaan soal 0,63. Hasil yang diperoleh berdasarkan analisis uji diagnostik empat tingkat terdiri dari Siswa Paham konsep (33,2%), Paham sebagian (8,7%), Tidak paham konsep (12,6%), dan Miskonsepsi (45,4%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki konsepsi dan miskonsepsi peserta didik pada materi tekanan zat dan perbedaan miskonsepsi antara peserta didik laki-laki dengan perempuan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Nanga Pinoh. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 127 orang terdiri dari 53 orang peserta didik laki-laki dan 73 orang peserta didik perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes diagnostik four tier berbantuan google form kepada peserta didik kelas VIII. Analisis data penelitian ini dilakukan dengan langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil miskonsepsi paling tinggi pada nomor soal 8 sebesar 45% dengan indikator mengidentifikasi pengaruh banyaknya zat cair pada kedudukan benda, sedangkan miskonsepsi terendah pada nomor soal 1 sebesar 14% dengan indikator mengidentifikasi pengaruh luas penampang benda yang berbeda terhadap tekanan yang dihasilkan. Persentase rata-rata peserta didik yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 30% dan termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Serta tidak ada perbedaan miskonsepsi antara peserta didik laki-laki dan perempuan. Dengan nilai chi kuadrat hitung (5,892) lebih kecil dari nilai chi kuadrat tabel (16,919).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi konsepsi peserta didik pada materi gerak harmonik sederhana berbasis web gamifikasi Quizizz menggunakan tes diagnostik four-tier. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 35 orang peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes diagnostik four-tier berbasis Quizizz pada peserta didik kelas X MIPA 5. Analisis data penelitian ini dilakukan dengan langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sebelum melakuka penelitian dilakukan validasi terhadap soal tes diagnotik, validasi dilakukan oleh tiga orang validator dengan hasil akhir dari validasi instrumen tes dengan rata-rata dari 3 aspek adalah 88,67% dengan kriteria “sangat baik” oleh validator sehingga dapat digunakan untuk dilakukan uji tes konsepsi peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik yang berkategori paham konsep sebesar 14,14%, presentase peserta didik yang berkategori tidak paham konsep sebesar 23,43%, presentase peserta didik yang berkategori miskonsepsi sebesar 51,86%, dan presentase peserta didik yang berkategori eror sebesar 10,57%.

Abstract

In Indonesia, students' higher order thinking skill is considered low and students still struggle to solve HOTS problems. One of the reasons is that students are unfamiliar with HOTS questions. This research aims to produce two – tier multiple choice test to measure students' higher order thinking skill on motion and force. The method used in this research is 4D by Thiagarajan. The test developed was validated by experts and was tested on 250 8th grade students in Pontianak. Analysis of the test used the Rasch Model to determine item fit, reliability, and difficulty levels using Winstep. Based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis, the test developed is feasible to measure students' higher order thinking skill with the content validity value score 0,84 and construct validity explained by the test 64,71%. The item reliability is excellent with the score of 0,94 but students have low consistency in answering the test. The test developed consist of 2 very difficult items, 6 difficult items, 5 easy items, and 2 very easy items.

Abstract

Soal evaluasi hasil belajar yang dibuat secara online dan video pembahasan soal tersebut merupakan kebutuhan yang penting dan mendesak di masa pandemi covid-19. Berdasarkan hasil self-assessment, guru IPA yang tergabung di dalam MGMP IPA Kabupaten Kubu Raya belum optimal memanfaatkan google form untuk menyusun soal online dan sebagian besar guru belum pernah membuat video pembahasan soal. Fitur form limiter dan form builder masih jarang digunakan guru ketika membuat soal online menggunakan google form. Hampir semua guru belum bisa merekam layar menggunakan faststone capture dan mengunggah video yang dibuat pada halaman youtube. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini dilakukan workshop penyusunan soal online menggunakan google form dan video pembahasan soal menggunakan faststone capture. Setelah workshop dilakukan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan menyusun soal online sebesar 9,96% dan peningkatan kemampuan peserta membuat video pembahasan soal menggunakan faststone capture sebesar 77,25%. Diharapkan guru membuat bank soal online untuk kebutuhan evaluasi hasil belajar IPA dan mengunggah video pembahasan soal tersebut sebagai feedback bagi peserta didik.

Abstract

This study was aimed to examine the effect of a remedial-integrated activity on dynamic fluids materials using generative learning to reduce student misconception in Senior High Schools (SMA). Pre-experimental method with the design of pretest-posttest control group was used in this study. This study was held in SMAN 7 Pontianak, West Kalimantan, involving the total number of 36 students from which were selected randomly at XI MIPA Class (Eleventh grade of Natural Science Class) using the random sampling with intact group technique. The instrument of this study used was the total question of a diagnostic test with 18 multiple-choice questionnaires. Then, the collected data was analysed using a descriptive statistic and t-test. The result of this study revealed that the remedial integration on Physics misconceptions positively decreased the levels of student misconceptions in Senior High Schools against dynamic fluids materials.
