Abstract

Language learning styles and strategies have been developing for several years as one of the crucial parts of language learning. Metacognitive techniques have been looked into as aids for improving pupils' reading comprehension. The metacognitive strategy instruction should be integrated with students' different learning styles to help them be more effective and autonomous learners. Even though learning styles are crucial to language acquisition, few studies have examined the relationship between perceptual language learning and Indonesian students' use of metacognitive reading strategies. This study examined how metacognitive techniques were used when academic reading from a visually oriented standpoint to fill the gap. An open-ended questionnaire was employed in a descriptive quantitative study. There were fifteen experimental and fifteen students in the experimental class, and the data were analyzed quantitatively. They used a reading comprehension test adopted from the Baron TOEFL reading section to achieve the pre-test and the post-test scores. The statistical results showed a significant interaction in metacognitive strategy with a visually oriented style in pre and post-test with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). The results of this study will persuade English teachers to provide metacognitive reading methods through suitable instructions and supervision so that students may put them into practice and advance their reading comprehension.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and explore the perceptions of Micro and Small Enterprises (UMK) regarding the effectiveness of the halal label factor and "Nglarisi" digital marketing in increasing sales. This research is conclusive research with a qualitative approach, which is based on phenomena in the field. Data was collected through interviews and documentation of MSE actors who are members of the Gandeng-Gendong group. Gandeng-Gendong itself is one of the Yogyakarta City government programs which was formed to reduce and alleviate poverty, as well as to improve community welfare. The research results show that the halal label factor is seen as not being effective in increasing sales for the MSEs in the Gandeng-Gendong group. The majority of buyers do not question whether there is a halal label on the packaging, but it is the attitude of trust towards the seller that is more deeply rooted in the minds of buyers. The digital marketing factor through the "Nglarisi" application is seen as positive by business actors. That means the digital marketing through the "Nglarisi" application is quite effective in increasing sales.

Abstract

Snowball Throwing is a pedagogical strategy that employs ice balls or "snowballs" to introduce new concepts or ideas to students. This approach was developed by researchers interested in enhancing the effectiveness and engagement of learning, particularly in the context of science education. Moreover, students exhibit enthusiasm toward participation in learning activities due to the engaging nature of the snowball-throwing model. This study aims to assess the impact of employing the Snowball Throwing learning model alongside students' learning motivation on their academic performance in lessons at the elementary public school 002, Air Molek 1. The study involved 172 students across 4th, 5th, and 6th grade classes, comprising 99 boys and 76 girls. Data were collected through written tests and learning motivation questionnaires. The written test comprised 20 multiple-choice questions designed to evaluate student learning outcomes, while the learning motivation questionnaire gauged the students' level of motivation toward learning. Data analysis was conducted using the two-way ANOVA test. The results of the analysis demonstrated the significant influence of learning motivation on student learning outcomes. Notably, student learning motivation positively correlates with enhanced learning outcomes. Furthermore, the adoption of the snowball-throwing learning model exhibited a beneficial impact on student learning outcomes. Additionally, the interaction between the snowball-throwing learning model and student learning motivation significantly influenced student learning outcomes. Consequently, it can be inferred that the efficacy of Snowball Throwing in education stems from its ability to bolster learning motivation and improve learning outcomes, particularly within the realm of science education.

In the realm of internet technology that has occurred in Indonesia, it has had an impact on the trip business sector, since the presence of online trip agents, the market potential for the trip business has increased. This investigation points out to explore how Perceived Value and E-Trust influence E-Loyalty by using the E-Satisfaction variable as an intercede variable. This investigation was conducted on 110 respondents who had used online trip in Jakarta. Data analysis in this investigation used SEM-PLS. The conclusion of this investigation shows that Perceived Value has a positive effect on E-Satisfaction, E-Trust has a positive effect on E-Satisfaction, E-Satisfaction has a positive effect on E-Loyalty, Perceived Value has a positive effect on E -Loyalty, while E-Trust has a negative effect on E-Loyalty, E-Trust has a negative effect on E-Loyalty through E-Satisfaction and Perceived Value has a negative effect on E-Loyalty through E-Satisfaction. Suggestions in this investigation are to add investigation variables and use different investigation methods. The managerial implication obtained is that online trip agent companies must pay attention to the perceived value and e-trust of clients towards the corporation in order to create e-Satisfaction for clients. When e-Satisfaction is achieved, the corporation must maintain it to achieve e-loyalty.
