Abstract

This paper focuses on the study of Islamic Political Thought of Nurcholish Madjid and M. Amien Rais about Islamic state in Indonesia. Nurcholish Madjid required secularization, as an effort and rationalization of religious desecration. In  this context, religion is not only understood as an integral dimension of the sacred (holy) with all its appliances. But there are many parts changed, because it is sociological. According to Nurcholish, secularization is the way that Muslims needed to be done, so that the public can distinguish between social phenomena and the phenomenon of transcendent revelation.

Abstract

Despite many differences, da'wah and politics are intersecting. Da'wah activities often touch politics, while political activities often become a media propaganda. However, some people disagree to consolidate da'wah with politics considering that both have different intentions. Politics aims for the power. The da'wah, on the other hand, is a call to all people to follow the path of God through the promotion of good deeds and prohibition of bad deeds. It has a realistic objective, conveying religious messages to the mankind. In contrast to the statements, this article asserted that da'wah and politics can be combined by treating the politics as a means to convey the da'wah. Da'wah, in its administration, can use a variety of media, including the power. Yet, the power should not be the purpose of da'wah. Da'wah is closely associated with politics. When rules of a country are hostile to Islam, the policy can suppress the Muslims. The relation between politics or power and da'wah will help accelerate the objective attainment of the da'wah. It is true that da'wah can progress without the support from powerful organizations or the state, but its success is different when compared to the results of the da'wah supported by a strong organization or the state.

Abstract

The reality is that people who are the target of da'wah always reject new da'wah teachings because they compare them with old da'wah teachings that have become a tradition in their lives. The method used in this study is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The SLR method is used to identify, review, evaluate, and interpret all available research with topic areas of interest to phenomena, with relevant research questions. With the use of the SLR method, a systematic review and identification of journals can be carried out, which in each process follows the steps or protocols that have been set. The results of this research show that in introducing the new Islamic teachings to non-Muslims, all the Prophets used da'wah methods. This da'wah is a way of inviting people to follow the right path for salvation in this world and the hereafter. The approach or method of da'wah taken by the prophets in dealing with their respective people is guided by the da'wah methods outlined by Allah s.w.t as conveyed by the Qur'an. The most prominent characteristics that support the strength of the da'wah movement of the prophets are patience, high will, istiqamah and determination. This characteristic makes them worthy of being given the status of Nabiyullah by Allah subhanahu wata'ala

Abstract

the fact explains that the Islamic media in the late 70s-90s tended to be provocative, brave, straightforward and resolute in raising issues and themes that were sensitive and offensive to ethnicity, religion, race and interfaith (SARA) and dared to carry ideology, exclusivist and fanaticism that strong against Islam, even though at that time media freedom was very limited. After the 90s the media became free in handling and publishing. Unfortunately this condition is not exploited by Wasatiyah Islamic Media. This media tends to sink due to competition in the media business. The decline of wasatiyah Islamic Media was due to imperfect management. The obstacles in presenting news that are fast, easy and inexpensive require good management. Another challenge is how to provide intelligent reading that follows the development of increasingly intelligent humans and provides a binding and enlightening impression. As a result of the deterioration of management, other Islamic media have the opportunity to spread the news of hate speech and hoaxes. To this problem we use the Thematic Interpretation Method of the Qur'an to provide concepts and descriptions of the Qur'an based Wasatiyah media. The results of this study stated that Wasatiyah Islamic Media must understand the Counter-Radical Narrative Narratives spread by other media. So in providing comments and information must be based on Islam Rahmatan lil alamin. Wasatiyah Islamic Media Must understand the weaknesses of the radical media editors. Wasatiyah Islamic media must play a role and provide moderation for religious and Islamic thought in line with the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Editor of the Wasatiyah Islamic Media must depict editors who are more humane, polite, not hard, without coercion, full of tenderness and voluntarily. The results of this study have an impact on the unity and sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Submission of good information to others is a human dedication to the universe. All human beings created have a vision and mission of life, namely devotion to the Creator by doing good for all nature and everything, depending on the profession and the role of each. The problem in this article is that De Jure all Muslims are obliged to improve this nature with da'wah, but De Facto found very few Muslims who preach according to their respective professional roles and find a lot of challenges in delivering da'wah so as to make Muslims less concerned about da'wah efforts in this universe. Against this problem, researchers used the Hermeunetic method that focused on the text language of the Qur'an and its interpretation to increase the motivation of Muslims in carrying out da'wah activities according to their respective professions for the good of the world. The results of this study were found in the Qur'an to find a lot of motivation for preachers to gain success in their missionary endeavors in the world and in the hereafter. The benefits of the results of this study are to provide motivation for preachers to always be istiqamah in carrying out their da'wah efforts, for the glory of Islam on this earth.

Abstract

Euthanasia is the termination of a very sick person's life in order to relieve them of their suffering. A person who under goes euthanasia usually has an incurable condition. But there are other instances where some people want their life to be ended. In many cases, it is carried out at the person's request but there are times when they may be too ill and the decision is made by relatives, medics or, in some instances, the courts. The term is derived from the Greek word euthanatos which means easy death. Euthanasia is seen as an accepted way to alleviate the severe suffering of people as long as it is their wish. What is Islam’s stance on Euthanasia and is it something that goes too far in alleviating the suffering of patients. Most people think unbearable pain is the main reason people seek euthanasia, but some surveys in the USA and the Netherlands showed that less than a third of requests for euthanasia were because of severe pain. This would indicate that the act of Euthanasia is forbidden because even wishing for death is not allowed in Islam. So rather than wishing for death it is better for a person to bear with it patiently as this I better for them. But it is not only the right to die that is not recognized but the right to be assisted in dying whether this is done actively or passively. However the euthanasia is not always suicide and may not always be considered murder under Islamic law. It can occur under different circumstances and under different conditions.
