Abstract

The Islamic banking products that are highly relevant to the current market needs include Murabahah bil Wakalah products. However, there is inconsistency between the concept and its implementation in Islamic banking institutions, both banks and non-banks. Therefore, this study aims to examine the distortion of the concept of Murabahah bil Wakalah with its implementation in Islamic banking institutions in Indonesia. Using descriptive qualitative research methods, through library research in collecting data from various sources such as scientific journal articles and Fatwas from the National Sharia Council of MUI. The data obtained were analyzed by literature review comparing the concept and implementation of the Murabahah bil Wakalah contract. The results of this study indicate that there are several distortions found in the concept of Murabahah bil Wakalah with its practice in Islamic banking, particularly in terms of giving representation (wakalah) and ownership issues of the object of the contract, which should rightfully belong to the buyer (Ba’i).

Abstract

A country's economic development can grow if its business sector is doing well. To maintain the existence of business growth, a source of financing capital is needed. This research aims to critically examine the murabahah bil wakalah financing contract in Islamic banking and provide solutions to these problems. This research uses a qualitative method. This study is descriptive analytic in which data collection is carried out by reviewing the literature then analyzing and interpreting the content to produce conclusions and recommendations. The results of the study suggest that there are several problems that occur in the murabahah bil wakalah contract, including goods that are not fully owned by the bank, moral hazard in customers, and an explanation of the cost and profit. The solution is that banks are expected to form a special unit to purchase goods for customers, the need to emphasize the contract at the beginning of the transaction to prevent moral hazard, and the activeness of the sharia supervisory board in overseeing all transactions carried out at Islamic banks.

Abstract

The discussion in this journal highlights the importance of understanding Asbabun nuzul, the context behind the revelation of Qur'anic verses. The Qur'an is the word of Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through the Angel Jibril, in both its wording and meaning, serving as guidance for humanity toward a clear and straight path, as the foundation for a life rooted in faith in Allah and His message. This study aims to examine Asbabun nuzul comprehensively, including its historical development, types, methods of understanding it, and its significance in interpreting Qur'anic verses. The method used is library research, which involves collecting, reading, and recording data and theoretical foundations from various sources such as books, scientific works, previous studies, journals, articles, and other references relevant to the topic. The results of the study show that understanding Asbabun nuzul facilitates accurate interpretation and reduces doubts when interpreting Qur'anic verses. Abstract

This study aims to examine contemporary Islamic economic thought in supporting the implementation of halal certification based on local wisdom. Halal certification is not only a religious aspect but also an economic strategy to enhance the competitiveness of local products in the global market. This approach integrates Islamic economic principles, such as justice, sustainability, and public welfare, with unique local potentials to ensure the quality of halal products. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, referring to relevant literature and case studies on the implementation of halal certification in various regions of Indonesia. Furthermore, collaboration among religious scholars, the government, and business actors is key to achieving an inclusive and sustainable halal certification system. Therefore, this concept can serve as a model for other countries in developing an economy rooted in Islamic values relevant to contemporary challenges.
