Abstract

Murabahah financing is one of the most dominant financing in the scope of Islamic banks in Indonesia. Murabahah financing dominates because financing provides a high level of trust for its customers. Because the acquisition price and profit are mutually agreed upon with the bank. In addition, the bank also feels favored. The dominance of Murabaha financing compared to profit-sharing financing such as Mudaraba and Partnership is clear for researchers to look for factors that influence Murabahah financing. This type of research is quantitative which is associative, In this case the author uses a quantitative method and the type of data in this study is secondary data in the form of time-series. The population used is a financial report based on quarters at BPRS Madani for the period 2017-2023 where the total is 27 financial reports for 1 year. The sample selection uses a saturated sample where all the population is used as a sample, which will later be processed using statistical analysis tools to get answers to the proposed hypothesis.Research results Based on the data test that has been carried out with a significance level of 5% or 0.05, it can be concluded that Non-performing financing has a positive and significant effect on Murabahah financing at BPRS Niaga Madani. Rotation on assets and financing to deposit ratio have a positive and insignificant effect on Murabahah financing of financing banks at BPRS Niaga Madani in the 2023 period. Conclusion Based on the results of the analysis and discussion that have been presented in the previous section, it can be concluded that non-performing financing has a significant positive effect on Murabahah financing at Bank Pembiayaan Rakyat Syariah Niaga Madani. This finding explains that the increasing non-performing finance of BPRS Niaga Madani will also increase the level of financing provided by BPRS Niaga Madani, this shows that the public increasingly trusts BPRS Niaga Madani so that what is the obligation of the community is still fulfilled even though some customers are hampered in returning financing. Rotation on assets and financing to deposit ratio have a positive and insignificant effect on Murabahah financing. that bank management is able to manage the assets owned by the company, so that the income generated experiences a better increase

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of green banking from the perspective of maqāṣid asy-syarīʿah in encouraging the existence of Islamic banking. This study is a qualitative study using a phenomenological approach, an interpretive paradigm using intentional analysis. The types of data used are noema and noesis, using three data collection techniques, namely in-depth interviews, documentation and participant observation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of green banking based on maqāṣid syarī᷾ah is able to encourage the existence of Islamic banking. The implementation of green banking from the perspective of maqāṣid asy-syarīʿah at Bank Muamalat Indonesia and Bank Syariah Indonesia in supporting its existence consists of seven components, maintaining religion (ḥifẓ al-dīn), maintaining the Soul (ḥifẓ al-nafs), maintaining the environment (ḥifẓ al-bī᷾ah), and maintaining honor (ḥifẓ al-irdi) have been implemented, while maintaining reason (ḥifẓ al-᷾aql) requires improvement in green banking research and publication, maintaining descendants (ḥifẓ al-᷾nasl) requires improvement in terms of digital banking system security and the presence of product innovation, and maintaining wealth (ḥifẓ al-māl) requires providing opportunities for farmers to be able to apply for financing using the salam contract or other related contracts.

Abstract

The Islamic economic system offers a unique approach to addressing social inequality through a fair wealth distribution mechanism. One of the primary instruments in this system is zakat, infaq, and sadaqah (ZIS), which serve both spiritual and socio-economic functions. This article aims to explain the definitions and distinctions of these three instruments from a sharia economic perspective, while highlighting their role in promoting social justice and strengthening the Muslim community's economy. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, using secondary data obtained from books, academic journals, legal regulations, and relevant institutional documents. The analysis shows that zakat, as a religious obligation, has stricter management mechanisms compared to infaq and sadaqah, which are voluntary. However, all three complement each other in creating a more equitable economic distribution. Together, these instruments serve as vital pillars for developing a sustainable Islamic economic system, especially in the face of current socio-economic challenges

Abstract

Abstract

The global halal industry is rapidly expanding as one of the strategic sectors in the international economy, with a continually growing market value that involves cross-border transactions, international organizations, and multilateral alliances. Although Indonesia occupies the position of one of the largest consumers of halal products in the world, its contribution as a major player in the global halal industry value chain still faces various structural and diplomatic challenges. This study aims to analyze the harmonization of international halal certification standards from the perspective of fiqh al-muʿāmalah and to formulate the role of Indonesia’s halal economic diplomacy in advocating for the protection of Muslim consumers in global markets. The research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach through library research and policy analysis. The findings indicate that, conceptually, most international halal certification standards converge with maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, particularly in the aspects of ṭahārah, ḥalāl al-dhabīḥah, and istibrā’. However, fragmented standards, divergent ijtihād on animal-derived enzymes and technical alcohol, and asymmetries among certifying authorities generate problems of traceability, the potential for monopolistic practices, and the risk of consumer harm, all of which contradict the legal maxim lā ḍarar wa lā ḍirār. This study underscores the importance of cross-madhhab collective ijtihād (ijtihād jamāʿī), the strengthening of an equitable mutual recognition scheme, and Indonesia’s proactive initiatives as a norm entrepreneur through halal economic diplomacy, including the proposal to establish an international Halal Dispute Board as a dispute settlement instrument and as a means of reinforcing the legitimacy of global halal standards grounded in fiqh al-muʿāmalah.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and strategic directions that influence the sustainability and effectiveness of Halal Supply Chain Management (HSCM) at the national level. Employing a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory sequential design, the research integrates qualitative and quantitative analyses through the SWOT framework and the Internal–External (IE) Matrix. The findings reveal that Indonesia possesses significant strategic potential to develop a globally competitive halal supply chain, supported by its large Muslim consumer base, robust regulatory framework, growing public awareness, and the rapid expansion of halal-oriented MSMEs. Nevertheless, several structural weaknesses persist, including limited halal logistics infrastructure, high certification costs, weak inter-agency coordination, and low halal literacy among business actors. Opportunities arise from the rapid expansion of the global halal economy, digital innovation (blockchain, IoT, big data), and increasing international demand for ethical and sustainable halal products. Meanwhile, the main challenges include competition with benchmark countries, varying international halal standards, and dependency on imported raw materials. The IE Matrix positions Indonesia in the high–high quadrant, indicating a growth strategy through vertical integration—strengthening local production, standardization, digital traceability, and institutional synergy. Through this strategic approach, Indonesia has the potential to transform from the world’s largest halal consumer market into a leading producer and innovation hub in the global halal economy.

Abstract

This study examines the use of deepfake technology in halal product promotion, which poses new ethical challenges within the frameworks of media jurisprudence, Islamic economics, and consumer protection. The aim is to analyze the practice of deepfake content production from the perspective of Islamic ethics and media jurisprudence, assess its impact on Muslim consumer perception, and formulate Sharia-based ethical guidelines grounded in maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah. The research employs a qualitative approach using library research and content analysis methods, drawing data from classical and contemporary literature, the Qur’an, Hadith, and previous studies. The findings reveal that the use of deepfake technology in halal promotion has the potential to create misinformation (tagrīr), violate the principles of honesty (ṣidq) and trustworthiness (amānah), and undermine consumer protection. The study emphasizes the importance of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah as an ethical standard for validating digital content. The main contribution of this research lies in formulating a Sharia ethical framework for halal digital marketing practices, which can serve as a guideline for producers, academics, and policymakers to maintain the competitiveness of the halal industry without neglecting moral and spiritual responsibility.

Abstract

The development of the digital economy has transformed the landscape of global economic transactions, including in Muslim-majority countries. Phenomena such as e-commerce and digital assets (cryptocurrency, tokens, and NFTs) offer convenience and new opportunities in economic activities but also raise legal issues from the perspective of Sharia law. This study aims to analyze the position of the digital economy within Islamic economic law, examine the validity of e-commerce transactions based on the principles of fiqh al-mu‘āmalah, and assess the legal status of digital assets according to the views of scholars and fatwa institutions. The research method employed in this study is library research, which involves the analysis of books, scholarly works, and previous studies related to the topic. The findings indicate that e-commerce transactions are generally permissible as long as they fulfill the pillars and conditions of a valid sale contract and are free from elements of riba (usury), gharar (uncertainty), and deception. In general, the digital economy can be accepted within the framework of Islamic economic law if it is managed according to the principles of maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah, namely upholding justice, promoting public welfare, and protecting the wealth of the community. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening Sharia-based regulations in governing the digital economy to ensure alignment with Islamic values and to contribute to the sustainable development of the Muslim community’s economy.
