Abstract

This trial was therefore undertaken to investigate the effect of durian (dario zibethinus) seed extract supplementation on the growth performance, carcass yield and internal organ development in broilers under heat temperature. 5 treatment groups, including control group (P0) with no extract addition and 4 treatments (P1- P4), where the levels of durian seed extracts used were added into-drinking water at dose concentrations of Nil, 1.0 mL/L, 1.5 mL/L, 2.0 mL/L and 2.5ml/L respectively. Weight gain, feed conversion efficiency, weights of slaughter body parts (and as their relative proportion: liver, heart, proventriculus and gizzard) and internal organs (total intestines) were evaluated. The durian seed meal extract also significantly enhanced (P < 0.05) the body and carcass weights and growth of digestive and metabolic organs. Values were higher in P4 indicating a dose relation. The beneficial health effects are attributed to the bio-active compounds (polyphenols, flavonoinds and phenolic acid) as natural anti oxidants and phyto-biotics which avoid the oxidative stress and stimulate to absorb the nutrient. It is thus justified to conclude that durian seed extract at 2.5 ml/L could be applied as natural growth promoter combined with antioxidative activity in broiler raised under the tropical heat stress source.

Abstract

Malaria remains a major public health burden in Indonesia, with Papua contributing the highest incidence nationally. Recent ecological changes, increasing human–wildlife interaction, and expanding vector habitats have raised concerns about the potential emergence of zoonotic malaria in the region. This study aims to analyze the potential risk of zoonotic malaria in Papua through a One Health perspective and assess its implications for national resilience. A descriptive qualitative literature review was conducted using scientific publications from the last five years, WHO reports, and national malaria surveillance data. Findings indicate that ecological disturbances, deforestation, and occupational exposure in forested areas increase the likelihood of spillover involving Plasmodium species such as P. knowlesi and P. cynomolgi. Limited healthcare access, high population mobility, and persistent transmission further exacerbate vulnerability. The potential emergence of zoonotic malaria poses multidimensional threats to Indonesia’s national resilience, particularly in the domains of food security, economic stability, social cohesion, and national security. Strengthening integrated surveillance, enhancing diagnostic capacity, improving environmental management, and promoting cross-sectoral collaboration are essential strategies to mitigate zoonotic malaria risks in Papua. This study highlights the importance of adopting a One Health approach to support malaria elimination efforts and safeguard national resilience

Abstract

This study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of consumer behavior in the context of Islamic marketing by systematically reviewing existing literature on attitudes, trust, and purchase intention. As Islamic markets expand globally, understanding the psychological and behavioral drivers that shape Muslim consumer decision-making has become increasingly important. This review synthesizes articles published over the last decade (2015–2025) indexed in major scientific databases, focusing on empirical and conceptual studies related to halal products, services, and Islamic branding. The findings reveal that consumer attitudes are strongly influenced by religious commitment, halal awareness, and perceived product quality. Trust emerges as a central determinant, particularly shaped by halal certification, corporate credibility, and transparency of marketing practices. Moreover, purchase intention is found to be mediated by consumer trust and moderated by socio-cultural factors such as religiosity, lifestyle, and generational differences. The review highlights methodological trends, including the dominance of survey-based quantitative approaches and the growing application of structural equation modeling. Despite substantial progress, research gaps remain in exploring digital platforms, sustainability issues, and cross-cultural comparisons of Muslim and non-Muslim consumers. This paper contributes by mapping the intellectual landscape of Islamic consumer behavior and offering directions for future research in the era of global halal markets.

Abstract

Polymorphisms in exon 3 of the leptin gene have been linked to reproductive and production traits in sheep. However, comprehensive in silico studies that combine comparative sequence analysis, phylogenetic relationships, gene expression profiling, and protein–protein interaction (PPI) networks across various sheep breeds remain limited. A total of 21 sheep leptin DNA sequences were extracted from NCBI GenBank. The leptin DNA sequences were aligned using BioEdit to identify single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and amino acid changes. Phylogenetic relationships among various sheep breeds were analyzed using Clustal Omega version 1.2.4. Leptin gene expression in sheep was analyzed using the Expression Atlas database, and leptin protein interactions with other proteins were evaluated using the STRING platform. The results showed that the leptin gene is highly expressed in the hypothalamus and moderately expressed in reproductive organs, highlighting its important role in regulating energy metabolism and reproductive function. Protein–protein interaction (PPI) analysis using STRING revealed a strong interaction between leptin and its receptor, which activates key signaling pathways, including the JAK2–STAT3, PI3K, and MAPK pathways. Genetic analysis revealed a predominance of missense mutations over silent mutations, with SNPs g.92G>A (Arginine→Glutamine) and g.208G>T (Valine→Leucine) appearing consistently across several breeds. Phylogenetic analysis also revealed substantial genetic diversity among sheep breeds, with clustering patterns reflecting distinct evolutionary origins. These findings demonstrate that integrating comparative genomics with functional bioinformatics analyses provides deeper insight into leptin exon 3 variation and serves as a comprehensive in silico framework for future functional validation and association studies in sheep.

Abstract

Limitations in financial statement literacy and digital marketing literacy remain major constraints for household MSMEs in developing their businesses sustainably. Social media and e-commerce are generally utilized merely as sales channels, rather than as integrated information systems that present sales, cost, and profit data comprehensively. This condition results in business decision-making that is not supported by adequate financial performance analysis, thereby causing opportunities for improving profitability, operational efficiency, and market expansion to remain underutilized by MSME actors. This community service program aims to enhance business actors’ understanding of financial statements and to optimize digital marketing strategies through training, mentoring, and the provision of supporting technologies. The activities were conducted in collaboration with the partner ErZi Craft in Purbalingga Regency, which operates in the handmade knitting craft industry. The implementation methods included socialization activities, financial statement literacy training, preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and a Business Model Canvas (BMC), as well as training in branding, packaging, product photography, e-catalog development, and live streaming on Shopee and Instagram platforms. The results of the activities demonstrate a significant improvement in the partner’s business performance. The partner’s understanding of simple financial statements and Shopee financial reports increased, enabling them to prepare income statements and monitor cash flows on a regular basis. SOP and BMC documents have been developed and have begun to be used as references for daily operational activities. From the perspective of digital marketing, the partner now possesses a business logo, digital catalog designs, and more attractive photo and video promotional content. The partner is also proficient in utilizing live streaming features as a routine promotional medium, which has contributed to the expansion of market reach to various cities in Indonesia and abroad, such as Bekasi, Tangerang, Jakarta, South Sumatra, Purworejo, and even Singapore. This community service program has been proven to contribute to enhancing the partner’s business capacity through the strengthening of financial statement literacy, operational governance, and more professional digital marketing skills. Increased turnover and expanded market reach provide more stable income opportunities for business owners and members, thereby supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly poverty reduction and women’s empowerment in productive economic activities.
