This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the Design Thinking method in service innovation at SPC Pediatric Clinic. This method is applied to improve service quality and efficiency through five stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Data were collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires, then analysed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that innovations such as online registration, home care services, health education, service specialisation, and partnerships with schools successfully improved patient satisfaction. Technical, coordination, and adaptation constraints were also identified but were overcome with gradual improvements. The overall implementation of these innovations had a positive impact on patient comfort and trust.

The role of teachers in education is very important to shape the character of students at school. The teacher's role as an educator is an example, role model, and figure identified by students. In schools, religious culture and religious tolerance will be formed if teachers prepare themselves with qualities such as responsibility, authority, independence and discipline. The aim of this research is to find out how teachers play a role in instilling the values of tolerance in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. The strategies they use for teaching include collaboration in class, using learning materials that support the principles of tolerance, and holding open discussions. These findings show how teachers try to build students' characters who are open and tolerant of differences. This strengthens the contribution of education to building a more just and inclusive society. Abstract

Women's participation in various student organizations is a social phenomenon that embodies gender equality in the campus environment. Traditionally, organizational activities have been dominated by men, but this situation has gradually changed with the growing representation of women in various leadership roles. Higher education institutions, as educational bodies, play a strategic role in shaping students' social practices, particularly female students who are active in organizations. The cultural differences between the student organizations of Sociology at Unesa and UTM present an interesting factor to explore how the social practices of female organizers are formed and interpreted. Using a qualitative approach, the research was conducted through in-depth interviews with female students who are members of student organizations from the Sociology program to obtain accurate data and information. This study aims to explore gender equality among women in the campus organizational scope of two different institutions. It is expected that this research will provide practical and theoretical benefits to readers and the public. Keywords: Women, Organizational, Organization, Student Organizations.

Abstract

Arranged marriages and early marriages remain embedded in the social life of some Madurese communities, even though modern developments have increasingly given women more space to determine their own life choices. This tradition is rooted in the belief that marriage serves as a means to maintain the family’s good name and preserve long-standing social relationships built across generations. This study aims to reveal how family habitus and social capital sustain the continuation of arranged marriage practices, and how these dynamics influence the extent of women’s control over decisions related to their marriage. Using a qualitative approach, this study conducted in-depth interviews with three categories of women: those who fully comply with tradition, those who accept arranged marriages as a consequence of maintaining family harmony, and those who have begun to critique the tradition because they feel entitled to choose their own partners. The findings show that habitus functions as a guiding framework for families in evaluating women's propriety and morality through engagement practices prior to courtship, while social capital is mobilized to ensure that the chosen match comes from a family deemed compatible in terms of status, religious networks, and reputation. When habitus and social capital operate strongly, women’s agency tends to weaken; conversely, greater access to education and broader insight opens opportunities for women to negotiate or even reject arranged marriages. This study concludes that arranged marriage is not merely a cultural tradition, but also a family strategy to maintain their position within the social structure. Throughout this process, women continuously negotiate the space they have in making decisions about their own lives.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the learning motivation of children at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Tarbhiyatus Sibyan in Jelun Village, Banyuwangi Regency, by examining how family background and social environment shape their perspectives on education and the future. The study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach, utilizing participatory observation and direct conversations during teaching activities. The findings indicate that children's learning motivation is influenced by family habitus, emotional stability, and the social capital available in their daily lives. Children from families with strong educational support tend to have a clear future orientation, while children from non-harmonious or less stable families often show apathetic attitudes toward school and choose to work after graduating from the MI. In addition, the study found the existence of a pseudo-identity construction in some students as a form of psychological compensation due to the lack of parental involvement. This analysis is reinforced by Pierre Bourdieu's habitus theory and Bronfenbrenner's ecological theory, which show that learning motivation is not only born from individual willingness but also from the relationship between the family environment, school, and village social structures. This study concludes that differences in children's learning motivation at MI Tarbhiyatus Sibyan are closely related to each child's social conditions and life experiences. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for schools and communities to strengthen social and educational support for children in rural areas.
