Abstract

To realize Arabic learning based on local wisdom, the vocabulary contained in the material should be directed to vocabulary related to local wisdom or the characteristics and potential of the region in the local area. This research aims to explain the forms of integration the local wisdom of Kerinci area in Arabic learning, both in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. So far, Arabic learning materials still expose vocabulary found only in Middle East Countries. For them who never seen and heard for the first time the vocabulary certainly feels strange, so it requires more treatment in giving understanding to students. This research is a library research through the stages of collecting data, identifying, understanding, analyzing, and determining. The results of this research indicate that to integrating the local wisdom of Kerinci region in Arabic learning can be done by modifying the content of the subject matter, which includes the forms of local wisdom possessed by Kerinci region in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This is done so that the knowledge gained by students is not only in the mastery of Arabic vocabulary and grammar, but also in the knowledge of the natural surroundings such as, Kerinci Folk Songs, Kerinci Folk Stories, Kerinci Tourism, and so forth. So that sense of belonging and nationalism can be formed in the young generation who are Arabic learning.

Abstract

Abstract

The Islamic banking system has long been believed to possess resilience in the face of crises, some even asserting its resistance to such challenges. To validate the aforementioned notion, an analysis of the efficiency performance of Sharia banking is conducted after the occurrence of what is referred to as the Second Round Crisis. This is undertaken due to the discovery that the impact of a crisis might not necessarily be felt during its onset, but rather after its passing. The research case study is Sharia Commercial Banks in Indonesia during the period 2012-2017. The research employs a parametric approach, namely the Stochastic Frontier Analysis Panel (SFA)  Greene's approach (2005) to examine the data. The research found that all examined samples experienced a decrease in efficiency in the year 2014. The data also reveal an increase in Non-Performing Financing (NPF) and a decrease in Return on Assets (ROA) during the same period. These findings reveal the presence of a second-round crisis phenomenon affecting the Sharia Commercial Banks in this year. Following this period, there was a gradual improvement in both efficiency and other ratios. In conclusion, it can be inferred that Sharia banks, particularly in Indonesia, are not resistant to crises.

Abstract

Waqf development faces substantial challenges, primarily due to limitations in financial capital. However, deficiencies in other forms of capital, including manufactured, human, intellectual, social, and natural capital, also impede progress. This study examines these issues through the dual lens of sharia compliance and sustainable finance assessment. Employing a qualitative case study approach, the research draws on primary data collected from a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with six members of the Muhammadiyah Central Board (2015–2020), analyzed using NVivo software. Findings indicate that while Muhammadiyah demonstrates substantial social and human capital. However, there is a need to enhance environmental infrastructure, strengthen intellectual resources, and develop more effective financial strategies. These include establishing a dedicated waqf investment institution and formalizing the legal status of waqf assets. Holistic capital development is crucial to achieving effective and sharia-compliant waqf asset management.
