Abstract

The development of research on blended learning on learning outcomes continues to grow every time, and updating information related to this variable is important. Therefore, researchers used a meta-analysis study to see how much influence blended learning has on student learning outcomes, especially in science subjects at the education level. This research is descriptive quantitative research using a meta-analysis study method. The sample in this study was taken using the purposive sampling technique, the sample was in the form of scientific articles found in the 2017-2021 timeframe on the Scopus and Google Scholar databases. The instrument used in this research is data coding. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistics. Twenty-two relevant primary studies published in national and international journals during 2017-2021 were analyzed using the meta-analysis method. Hedges equation was selected to determine the effect size obtained through openMEE software, Forest Plot, and Validation of publication bias data obtained through JASP 0.15.0.0 software using regression and rank correlation methods. The results showed that the application of blended learning as a whole had a positive influence and was able to improve cognitive learning outcomes in science and mathematics learning with an effect size of 1.483 (excellent) based on the random effect model. In addition, the level of education and subject matter did not affect the heterogeneous effect size data. This shows that blended learning is one of the best solutions in implementing science and math learning to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

Background: Vitamin A is a critical nutrient that dissolves in fat, is stored in the liver, and must be sourced externally, as the body cannot produce it. Its significance for toddlers and children is undeniable, particularly in preventing infections and enhancing the body’s immunity. Methods: This study decisively examines the knowledge of mothers in Cikondang Village, Cibeber District, Cianjur, Indonesia, regarding the administration of vitamin A capsules to their toddlers. We employed an analytical report method to assess this important issue. A total of 20 mothers were sampled using a total sampling technique, and primary data was collected directly from the respondents with suitable instruments. Results: The results are compelling. Before counseling, 13 respondents (65%) were classified as having poor knowledge, with an average score of 53.05. Following the counseling session, 12 respondents (60%) demonstrated a significant improvement, moving into the good knowledge category, with an average score of 78.30. The Wilcoxon test analysis confirmed these findings with a p-value of 0.000. Conclusions: counseling has a profound and measurable impact on maternal knowledge. Local health services must continue to provide education on the critical importance of vitamin A consumption.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the Cooperative Learning model with reinforcement in improving motivation and learning outcomes in the subject of Akidah Akhlak, especially in the material of Commendable Akhlak in class 2 of MIS Ma'arif Salamal Huda. The Cooperative Learning model is a learning method that encourages cooperation between students in small groups, so that they can help each other in understanding the material. Meanwhile, providing reinforcement in the form of praise, awards, or positive feedback aims to strengthen students' motivation in learning. The combination of these two strategies is expected to create a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment for students. The method used in this study is the classroom action method (CAR) with a qualitative and quantitative approach. CAR was carried out in several cycles to see the effectiveness of the application of the Cooperative Learning model with reinforcement in stages. Data were collected through direct observation in class, interviews with teachers and students, and learning outcome tests to measure students' academic development. The results showed that the application of the Cooperative Learning model combined with reinforcement significantly increased students' learning motivation. Students became more active in group discussions, more enthusiastic in participating in learning, and more confident in expressing their opinions. In addition, student learning outcomes also increased as seen from the increase in average scores after implementing this strategy. Thus, the use of the Cooperative Learning method with reinforcement can be an alternative effective learning strategy in increasing student motivation and learning outcomes in learning Aqidah Akhlak.

Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi dan PMT di lembaga PAUD sedesa Tegal Lega bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman orang tua dan guru mengenai pentingnya asupan gizi yang baik selama masa pertumbuhan kritis anak usia dini. Sosialisasi dilakukan dengan yang memberikan informasi kepada orang tua mengenai kebutuhan nutrisi anak, menu makanan sehat, serta pentingnya pemberian makanan bergizi. Sosialisasi ini juga berperan dalam mendorong orang tua untuk lebih memperhatikan kualitas makanan yang diberikan kepada anak di rumah. Penelitian ini menganalisis pelaksanaan program sosialisasi dan PMT di PAUD-PAUD desa Tegal Lega menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung di PAUD HARAPAN IV dan PAUD NURI 1 sebagai sampel dari Lembaga-lembanga PAUD yang ada di desa Tegal Lega, wawancara dengan orang tua dan guru, serta dokumentasi pelaksanaan program. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman orang tua tentang pentingnya nutrisi bagi anak usia dini. Berdasarkan data observasi, anak-anak yang mendapatkan makanan tambahan secara rutin menunjukkan peningkatan berat dan tinggi badan. Mereka juga lebih aktif dalam mengikuti kegiatan di PAUD, serta menunjukkan kemampuan kognitif dan sosial yang lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum program dilaksanakan.

Abstract

The Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) approach integrates social issues with scientific concepts to enhance the relevance of learning, including in the context of physics education. This study aims to systematically analyze the literature concerning the influence of the SSI approach on students’ learning outcomes in physics. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the PRISMA framework, which includes the stages of Identification, Screening, Eligibility, and Inclusion of articles published between 2020 and 2024 from the Google Scholar database. The data extracted from the selected articles were analyzed using a thematic analysis approach through manual coding, categorized into the domains of learning outcomes: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. The analysis of 20 studies indicates that the implementation of SSI significantly improves students’ learning outcomes. Students exhibited deeper conceptual understanding, enhanced critical thinking skills, improved problem-solving abilities, increased scientific literacy, and more positive attitudes toward science. This study recommends the integration of the SSI approach into the physics curriculum to foster more contextualized and meaningful learning experiences.

Abstract

Pada dasarnya pendidikan merupakan upaya menyampaikan wawasan keterampilan, serta keahlian tertentu kepada orang lain. Diantara faktor yang mempengaruhi suatu proses pembelajaran adalah kompetensi guru. Kompetensi guru tidak menjadi sempurna apabila guru hanya mampu menyampaikan bahan ajar yang dilakukan secara langsung dikelas. Namun dibutuhkan pula kompetensi pedagogik guru yang harus melekat dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan guru sebagai instrumen penelitian. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MI Asy-Syafi’iyah Jatinangor yang dinilai bahwa guru MI Asy-Syafi’iyah telah melaksanakan sebagian besar kompetensi pedagogik dengan: memahami peserta didik; membuat perancangan pembelajaran; melaksanakan proses pembelajaran; dan mengevaluasi hasil belajar.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to increase students' interest and understanding of the material on Faith in the Apostles through the application of the Project Based Learning (PBL) model at MTsN 1 Magetan. The problems faced are the low involvement of students in the learning process and the lack of understanding of the concept of faith in the Apostles as a whole. This research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were students of class VIII MTsN 1 Magetan in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The instruments used included teacher and student activity observation sheets, learning interest questionnaires, and concept understanding tests. The results of the study showed that the application of the PBL model can increase student interest which is characterized by enthusiasm and active participation in project activities. In addition, there was a significant increase in student understanding test results from cycle I to cycle II. Based on these findings, it is concluded that project-based learning is effective in increasing students' interest and understanding of the material on Faith in the Apostles at MTsN 1 Magetan.

Abstract

Penanaman nilai-nilai agama dan moral merupakan hal yang sangat urgen sebagai upaya mendasari anak agar memiliki budi pekerti yang luhur (akhlakul karimah). Pada kurikulum tahun 2013 PAUD dijelaskan bahwa pendidikan agama bagi anak usia dini merupakan Kompetensi Dasar (KD) dalam sikap spiritual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi pendidikan agama di Kelompok Bermain Nurussibyan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Studi kasus ini menggali informasi dan menggambarkan bagaimana implementasi pendidikan agama pada Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. Dengan partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru. Teknik pengambilan data dalam penilitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa Nilai-nilai agama Islam dan moral yang dikembangkan pada Kelompok Bermain Nurussibyan berbasis pada Kurikulum tahun 2013 untuk PAUD. Pada sekolah tersebut juga ada beberapa materi di luar kurikulum 2013 yang menjadi program unggulan, yaitu : (1) hafalan doa sehari-hari, (2) hafalan surat-surat pendek dari Alquran, (3) kalimah thayyibah, (4) Asmaul Husna, (5) ibadah praktis, (6) iqra’, dan (7) pembisaan-pembiasaan perilaku.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning achievement of Aqidah Akhlak of class VII students of MTsM Panyalan on the material "Avoiding Reprehensible Morals" by using the Card Sort method. This study is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle in this study consists of four steps, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 12 class VII students consisting of 5 male students and 7 female students. The results of the study showed a significant increase in student learning achievement after the implementation of the Card Sort method. In cycle I, the percentage of student learning completion reached 50%, while in cycle II it increased to 83.33%. This method succeeded in increasing student activity and involvement in learning, as well as making it easier for students to understand material related to reprehensible morals through grouping and group discussions. The application of the Card Sort method also showed a positive response from students, who felt more interested and motivated in participating in learning. Therefore, this method can be used as an effective alternative to improve student learning achievement and involvement in learning Reprehensible Morals.

Abstract

Character education is essential in developing students’ morals, particularly in elementary schools. This study examines the implementation of the scaffolding method to improve learning outcomes on commendable morals among second-grade students at MIS Asasul Islam. Scaffolding is a teaching strategy that offers gradual support based on students’ needs, enabling them to understand concepts independently. The teacher acts as a facilitator by providing guidance, open-ended questions, and real-life examples relevant to students’ daily experiences. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and analysis of student learning outcomes. The results show that the scaffolding method significantly enhanced students’ understanding of commendable morals. Indicators of improvement include increased student participation, the ability to apply moral values in everyday life, and higher test scores. Additionally, students demonstrated greater confidence in expressing opinions and reduced dependence on the teacher. The scaffolding method also contributed to a more interactive and student-centered learning environment, encouraging active engagement and boosting learning motivation. Students became more involved in building their own understanding, which supports the development of independent learning skills. Despite its effectiveness, the study found challenges in addressing diverse student abilities, requiring differentiated support strategies. Therefore, successful implementation demands careful planning and teacher expertise in adjusting the level of assistance. Overall, scaffolding is a promising method for enhancing character education in early learning settings.
