Abstract

Abstract. This community service activity is motivated by the rapid advancement of AI in education and the need for teachers to adapt to changing times. Many teachers are still unprepared and less responsive in utilizing AI optimally. Teachers’ understanding and digital skills need to be balanced with digital etiquette. The use of AI is not only about technical proficiency but also ethical considerations. Training on optimizing AI as a learning assistant should be accompanied by digital etiquette intervention. The aim of this community service is to improve teachers’ understanding and skills in using AI, as well as to integrate digital etiquette into teaching practices. The community service method used is the drill and practice model with the ORPAER cycle (observe, reflect, plan, action, evaluation, reflect). The results show an increase in the integration of AI in terms of teachers’ understanding and skills in learning activities. Additionally, teachers’ awareness of digital etiquette when utilizing AI has also improved. Teachers’ digital etiquette needs to be nurtured and developed. This community service succeeded in enhancing teachers’ proficiency both technically and ethically. Teachers need to participate in similar training and continuously improve their understanding, including practical ethics. As role models for digital etiquette, teachers must possess responsibility and morality in utilizing AI. Ethics apply not only in the virtual world but also in the real world. Abstrak. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pesatnya kemajuan AI di bidang pendidikan dan kebutuhan guru untuk adaptif terhadap perkembangan zaman. Banyak guru yang masih belum siap dan sigap memanfaatkan AI secara optimal. Pemahamana, keterampilan digital guru perlu diimbangi dengan etiket digital. Pemanfaatan AI tidak sekedar kecakapan teknis tetapi juga etis. Pelatihan optimaliasi AI sebagai asisten pembelajaran perlu diintervensi dengan etiket digital. Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman, keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan AI serta mengintegrasikan etiket digital dalam praktik pembelajaran. Metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang digunakna adalah model drill and practices dengan menggukan siklus ORPAER (observe, reflect, plan, action, evaluation, reflect). Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pada integrasi AI pada aspek pemahaman dan keterampilan AI dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu kesadaran guru terhadap etiket digital dalam memanfaatkan AI juga meningkat. Etiket digital guru perlu ditumbuhkembangkan. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat berhasil meningkatkan kecakapan guru dari segi teknis dan etis. Guru perlu mengikuti pelatihan sejenis dan meningkatkan pemahamannya secara berkelanjutan, termasuk etika praktis. Guru berperan sebagai teladan etiket digital maka guru harus memiliki tanggung jawab dan moral dalam memanfaatkan AI. Etika tidak hanya di dunia maya tetapi juga di dunia nyata.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar peserta didik serta mengetahui apakah dengan penggunaan media Pasar Jawa (Papan Aksara Jawa) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa materi “Mengenal Aksara Jawa” melalui model pembelajaran problem based learning di kelas V SD Negeri Bendul Merisi Surabaya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VA SD Negeri Bendul Merisi Surabaya. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah: 1) Observasi, 2) Tes, 3) Wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran Pasar Jawa dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi “Mengenal Aksara Jawa” di kelas V SD Negeri Bendul Merisi Surabaya. Peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dari siklus I ke siklus II dapat dilihat dari perolehan ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik pada siklus I yaitu 64.52% peserta didik yang tuntas, pada siklus II yaitu 80.65% peserta didik yang tuntas. Selain itu, peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik juga dapat dilihat dari nilai akhir rata-rata kelas daei siklus I ke siklus II, pada siklus satu nilai akhir rata-rata kelas adalah 67.42 dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 85. Hal ini membuktikan terjadinya peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dari siklus I ke siklus II dengan menggunakan media PASAR Jawa (Papan Aksara Jawa).

Abstract

Students with special needs at seven private primary schools in Probolinggo Regency, Indonesia, are the focus of this research, which aims to identify the challenges they confront throughout the distance learning process. A case study approach was used in this research. The participants in this research were seven parent-teacher pairs. Demographic data were collected in this research and an interview was conducted using a standard format. This research used content analysis as an analytical approach. Standardized interviews have shown that academic, social-emotional, and linguistic development are the most common issues that parents and teachers encounter in their work with children. On the other hand, educational difficulties were often associated with classroom involvement. According to the findings of this study, children with special needed have difficulty developing academically, socially, and linguistically. It revealed that inclusive students struggle with technology use, participation in online classes, and attention management.

Abstract

Based on what happened in the teachers have not been able to apply the model of learning in the classroom. The implementation of thematic learning in elementary school is a real step in improving students' abilities. This research was conducted in Class IV SDN Kebonsari 5 Kota Probolinggo with the aim to produce thematic learning model based on Brain Based Learning. The resulting product is a thematic learning model based on Brain Based Learning which has a level of validity and stability. Development method with Bord and Gall model. Referring from the research procedure, the results of this study showed that the validation test results of experts stated very valid with an average score of 87.8%. Level of product absorption with score 84%.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has created new opportunities for early childhood education. However, many Islamic boarding schools (Pondok Pesantren) in Indonesia still face limitations in utilizing digital media for learning. This community service project aimed to develop and implement an AI-based educational game, “Si Robot Pintar,” designed to improve children’s critical thinking and foster positive character traits through Islamic values. The research used the ADDIE development model, involving needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The program was carried out in three pesantren in East Java, engaging early childhood students, teachers, and parents. Results showed significant improvements in children’s problem-solving ability, creativity, and character building, especially in honesty, cooperation, and responsibility. Teachers and parents also reported greater engagement and easier facilitation of learning. This project demonstrates that integrating AI technology with Islamic education can provide an effective and innovative approach to strengthening early childhood education in pesantren.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran Wordwall berbasis web terhadap penguasaan kosakata Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas II. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas II-A berjumlah 28 peserta didik sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas II-B berjumlah 24 peserta didik sebagai kelas kontrol di SDN Sidodadi II/154 Surabaya. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pilihan ganda untuk mengukur penguasaan kosakata sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai posttest siswa kelas eksperimen meningkat secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan nilai pretest. Selain itu, perbandingan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol menunjukkan adanya perbedaan hasil posttest yang signifikan. Berdasarkan uji-t berpasangan dan uji-t tidak berpasangan, diperoleh nilai signifikansi < 0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media Wordwall berbasis web berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan penguasaan kosakata siswa. Dengan demikian, media Wordwall layak digunakan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran interaktif untuk jenjang sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to provide insights into how edugames can assess children’s cognitive abilities across various intelligence domains such as logical-mathematical, spatial, linguistic, interpersonal, and bodily-kinesthetic. Methodology: This study adopts a qualitative research design with a case study approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with educators and edugame developers, classroom observations of students using the games, and document analysis. The study focused on a specific early childhood school institution where edugames were integrated into the curriculum. Thematic analysis was employed to identify key patterns and insights from the data. Main Findings: The findings reveal that edugames are effective in assessing a wide range of intelligences, engaging children in tasks that reflect different cognitive and social abilities. The games were particularly effective in evaluating logical-mathematical, spatial, linguistic, interpersonal, and bodily-kinesthetic intelligences. Educators reported that edugames allowed them to assess diverse abilities often overlooked by traditional assessment methods. However, challenges such as limited technological infrastructure and the need for adaptive features in games were identified. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research contributes to the emerging field of digital tools in early childhood education by presenting edugames as effective methods for assessing multiple intelligences. The implications for educational practice suggest that incorporating edugames into early childhood curricula can provide a more inclusive, dynamic, and accurate assessment of children's cognitive and social skills. Future research should focus on overcoming the identified challenges, such as the need for adaptive game features and better technological infrastructure.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the Si Robot Pintar Edugame, an AI-based interactive tool designed to enhance Cognitive Abilities and Character Development in early childhood at Pondok Pesantren. The product development followed the Research and Development (R&D) model, adopting the ADDIE framework (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to create a technology-driven, engaging learning environment that fosters both cognitive and moral growth. A quasi-experimental design was employed in this study with three groups: two experimental groups (one using the Si Robot Pintar Edugame and the other using interactive videos) and a control group (using worksheets). Pretest and posttest measures were used to assess improvements in cognitive skills and character development. The results revealed that the Si Robot Pintar Edugame had the greatest effect, with the experimental group showing a 40% increase in posttest scores, compared to a 15% improvement in the control group. The Si Robot Pintar Edugame group exhibited the largest effect size (0.890), followed by the interactive video group (0.875), and the control group (0.540), underscoring the superiority of this AI-based intervention. The Si Robot Pintar Edugame significantly enhanced children’s abilities in identifying emotions and controlling emotions, which are vital aspects of emotional regulation and self-regulation. The game was especially effective in promoting cognitive skills and fostering character traits such as self-discipline, empathy, and critical thinking, all of which align with the educational objectives of Pondok Pesantren and Islamic teachings. These findings suggest that integrating AI and interactive tools in Islamic educational settings can substantially improve Cognitive Abilities and Character Development in children. The study concludes that the Si Robot Pintar Edugame is an effective, innovative educational tool that plays a significant role in enhancing both cognitive and moral development in early childhood at Pondok Pesantren.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of discipline through the habit of healthy living in early childhood by examining the patterns, forms, and indicators that emerge in healthy routines, the impact of healthy living behaviors on children’s independence and sense of responsibility, and parental support. Methodology: This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with observation sheets, interview guidelines, and documentation as instruments. The research subjects were nine children aged 3-4 years. Data were obtained through direct observation, recorded semi-structured interviews, field notes, and photographic documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was strengthened through source and technique triangulation. Main Findings: The results of the study show that discipline and healthy living behaviors are formed through routine habits, teacher role modeling, consistent school culture, and parental support. Children demonstrate disciplined behavior by willingly following rules, eating independently, and taking responsibility for cleaning up their eating utensils. Healthy living behaviors practiced by children include washing their hands with soap, using clean eating utensils, and brushing their teeth after meals. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study offers new insights into the process of internalizing discipline and healthy lifestyle behaviors in early childhood through school routines, teacher consistency, and parental support at home. These findings emphasize the importance of school culture synergy, teacher role modeling, and family support in forming the foundation for sustainable positive behaviors from an early age.

Abstract

The study aims to identify the manifestation of Character Based Education Pandemic in internationalization Dynamics. It also explore concept of character as a part of pandemic process throughout human life and investigate on how pandemic plays role in character. In order to meet the purpose of the research, the qualitative approached, as it is in line with this particular study which is descriptive in nature. In accordance with many of the previous theories regarding the character based education in pandemic, it is found that the application of Character Based Education Pandemic of internationalization dynamics to be a better character. Improvement and successful program indirectly derived from manifestation of the characteristics of Character Based Education Pandemic namely faith in oneself, the aspiration towards excellence, the tenacity to challenge themselves, the engagement of support from others, and the continuous deliberate practice. Through the act of character based education, internationalization dynamics will evolve toward the betterment and so will the organization.
