Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasingly urgent need to integrate ecotheological values into Islamic Education Management (MPI) as a response to the global ecological crisis and environmental moral degradation in educational institutions. The purpose of this research is to analyze how ecotheological values can be internalized in madrasah policies, curricula, and managerial practices, and to develop a conceptual model for managing ecologically-minded Islamic education. The main problem examined is the weak translation of the spiritual values of khalīfah and amanah into a concrete managerial system. This research uses a contextual qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation review at MTs Al-Hidayah Sukajaya, Bandar Lampung. The results show that the successful integration of ecotheology into MPI depends on the synergy of three main aspects: ontology (spiritual values), epistemology (sources of Islamic and environmental knowledge), and axiology (managerial goals). It was also found that the desire for an ecologically-minded education program requires the support of madrasah policies, teacher capacity building, and partnerships with environmental institutions.

Abstract

This study examines the urgency of technological innovation in addressing the challenges of visualizing abstract concepts in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects in elementary schools, particularly within the context of the Independent Curriculum. The focus of this study is to map Augmented Reality (AR) research trends during the 2018–2025 period to identify scientific evolution and future strategic development opportunities. This study screened 27 high-quality articles from the Scopus database using a systematic literature review (SLR) approach that follows the PRISMA protocol, combined with bibliometric analysis via VOSviewer. The research findings show (1) Publication Surge: There has been an exponential increase in AR research post-2020. (2) Pedagogical Effectiveness: AR has been proven significant in improving cognitive learning outcomes and intrinsic motivation through project-based inquiry approaches and personalized learning. (3) Asian countries dominate the research landscape, collaborating across disciplines in reputable journals (Q1). Although AR has the potential to transform the understanding of integrative concepts in IPAS (Integrated Physical and Applied Sciences), there are still gaps in longitudinal study designs and challenges in technology accessibility in rural areas. The results of this study provide a strong foundation for the development of a curriculum based on cutting-edge pedagogy and serve as a catalyst for inclusive education research to strengthen the profile of adaptive and innovative Pancasila students.

Abstract

Rapid global change, including environmental degradation and climate change, demands the strategic role of education in fostering sustainability awareness from an early age. This study aims to systematically review and synthesize research findings related to the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in Natural Sciences (IPA) learning in elementary schools. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach by following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines to identify, screen, and analyze relevant studies published in the range of 2021 to 2025. Articles are obtained from selected academic databases by applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria that have been set. A total of eleven articles met the eligibility criteria and were analyzed using qualitative thematic synthesis. The findings show that the implementation of ESD in elementary school science learning is generally carried out through active learning models, the development of ESD-based media and teaching materials. All of the studies analyzed reported the positive impact of ESD implementation on cognitive, social-emotional and 21st-century skills aspects. Practically, these findings recommend that primary school teachers integrate sustainability issues through active learning models, project-based activities, and the use of contextual media. In addition, the results of these findings can be a reference for curriculum developers and education policymakers in strengthening the integration of ESD principles in science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the gap between mastery of tajwid theory and Qur’anic reading practice among eleventh-grade students. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive comparative design. The population consisted of 306 students, with 52 respondents selected using cluster random sampling. Data were collected through theoretical and practical reading tests. Data analysis included normality, homogeneity, linearity, Pearson correlation, and paired sample t-test. The findings revealed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The correlation test indicated no significant relationship between theoretical mastery and reading practice (r = 0.228; Sig. = 0.105). However, the comparative test showed a significant difference between theoretical and practical scores (Sig. = 0.000), with theoretical scores higher than practical scores. These findings indicate a substantial gap between tajwid theoretical mastery and practical Qur’anic reading skills.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited number of studies that specifically analyze the comparison between the ADDIE instructional design model and the Dick & Carey model, even though both models play an important role in improving the quality of instructional planning. This study aims to analyze and compare the characteristics, development stages, and advantages of the two instructional design models in the development of learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were obtained from various scientific literature sources such as books, journals, research articles, and academic documents that discuss instructional design models. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis with a comparative approach to identify the similarities and differences between the ADDIE model and the Dick & Carey model. The results of the study show that both models apply a systematic approach in designing instruction, but they differ in terms of complexity and development structure. The ADDIE model has five main stages that are flexible and relatively simple, making it easier to apply in various learning contexts. Meanwhile, the Dick & Carey model consists of ten more detailed and comprehensive stages and emphasizes the integration of learning objectives, instructional strategies, materials, and evaluation. This study concludes that the selection of an instructional design model needs to be adjusted to the objectives and the complexity of the learning being designed. The findings of this study are expected to provide a theoretical contribution to the study of instructional design and serve as a practical reference for educators in selecting an appropriate instructional design model. Future research is recommended to conduct empirical studies to test the effectiveness of both models in classroom learning practices.
