Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasingly urgent need to integrate ecotheological values into Islamic Education Management (MPI) as a response to the global ecological crisis and environmental moral degradation in educational institutions. The purpose of this research is to analyze how ecotheological values can be internalized in madrasah policies, curricula, and managerial practices, and to develop a conceptual model for managing ecologically-minded Islamic education. The main problem examined is the weak translation of the spiritual values of khalīfah and amanah into a concrete managerial system. This research uses a contextual qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation review at MTs Al-Hidayah Sukajaya, Bandar Lampung. The results show that the successful integration of ecotheology into MPI depends on the synergy of three main aspects: ontology (spiritual values), epistemology (sources of Islamic and environmental knowledge), and axiology (managerial goals). It was also found that the desire for an ecologically-minded education program requires the support of madrasah policies, teacher capacity building, and partnerships with environmental institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the gap between mastery of tajwid theory and Qur’anic reading practice among eleventh-grade students. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive comparative design. The population consisted of 306 students, with 52 respondents selected using cluster random sampling. Data were collected through theoretical and practical reading tests. Data analysis included normality, homogeneity, linearity, Pearson correlation, and paired sample t-test. The findings revealed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The correlation test indicated no significant relationship between theoretical mastery and reading practice (r = 0.228; Sig. = 0.105). However, the comparative test showed a significant difference between theoretical and practical scores (Sig. = 0.000), with theoretical scores higher than practical scores. These findings indicate a substantial gap between tajwid theoretical mastery and practical Qur’anic reading skills.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited number of studies that specifically analyze the comparison between the ADDIE instructional design model and the Dick & Carey model, even though both models play an important role in improving the quality of instructional planning. This study aims to analyze and compare the characteristics, development stages, and advantages of the two instructional design models in the development of learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data were obtained from various scientific literature sources such as books, journals, research articles, and academic documents that discuss instructional design models. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive qualitative analysis with a comparative approach to identify the similarities and differences between the ADDIE model and the Dick & Carey model. The results of the study show that both models apply a systematic approach in designing instruction, but they differ in terms of complexity and development structure. The ADDIE model has five main stages that are flexible and relatively simple, making it easier to apply in various learning contexts. Meanwhile, the Dick & Carey model consists of ten more detailed and comprehensive stages and emphasizes the integration of learning objectives, instructional strategies, materials, and evaluation. This study concludes that the selection of an instructional design model needs to be adjusted to the objectives and the complexity of the learning being designed. The findings of this study are expected to provide a theoretical contribution to the study of instructional design and serve as a practical reference for educators in selecting an appropriate instructional design model. Future research is recommended to conduct empirical studies to test the effectiveness of both models in classroom learning practices.

Abstract

Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in elementary schools plays a crucial role in helping students understand natural and social phenomena in an integrated manner. However, the implementation of IPAS learning still tends to be textual and textbook-centered, with limited connections to students’ real-life experiences, thereby failing to support deep learning fully. This study aims to analyze the forms of contextualization of IPAS materials, examine their implications for deep learning, and identify obstacles to their implementation in elementary schools. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using the PRISMA approach to analyze articles published between 2021 and 2025. A total of 1,301 articles were initially identified from the Google Scholar, Scopus, and Crossref databases using the Publish or Perish application, of which 14 relevant articles were selected based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings indicate that the contextualization of IPAS materials is implemented through several approaches, including the use of visual and interactive media, environment-based and experiential learning, problem-based and inquiry-based approaches, the integration of local potential, interdisciplinary learning, and multimodal representation. These approaches contribute to improving students’ motivation to learn, conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, learning autonomy, and metacognitive awareness, which are key indicators of deep learning. However, challenges remain, particularly related to limited teacher pedagogical competence, insufficient contextual learning media, and structural constraints within the education system. Therefore, strengthening teacher competence, developing contextual learning designs, and enhancing institutional support are essential to promote meaningful and sustainable IPAS learning in elementary education.

Abstract

In the context of primary education, the implementation of inclusive education represents an important effort to create a fair and equitable education system for all students, particularly in supporting their social-emotional development. Inclusive education emerges as a response to the limitations of the segregated system, which tends to separate students with special needs from their social environment. This study aims to analyze the impact of inclusive education on the social-emotional development of elementary school students using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Data were obtained from reputable databases such as Scopus and SINTA within the 2021–2026 period, through stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion, resulting in 23 relevant articles for analysis. The analysis was conducted using a bibliometric approach with the assistance of VOSviewer, as well as thematic analysis to identify patterns and research gaps. The results indicate that inclusive education has positive impacts, including increased social interaction, empathy, tolerance, and acceptance of diversity, and also contributes to students’ cognitive development through collaborative learning. However, in certain conditions, inclusive education may present challenges such as anxiety, low self-concept, and difficulties in social adaptation. Its successful implementation is strongly influenced by teacher competence, school readiness, and the support of an inclusive learning environment. Therefore, inclusive education plays a strategic role in shaping students’ social-emotional development, but it requires strengthening in its implementation to achieve optimal outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the MURDER learning model on students' reflective thinking skills from the perspective of learning creativity in a digitally supported learning context. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group pattern. The study subjects consisted of 54 prospective early childhood education teacher students at a state university in Lampung Province, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Reflective thinking skills were measured using a written test based on reflective thinking indicators, while learning creativity was measured through a questionnaire and classified into high, medium, and low levels. Data were analyzed using analysis of covariance and further tests to examine the main effects of the learning model, the level of learning creativity, and the interaction between the two. The results showed differences in students' reflective thinking skills based on the learning model and the level of learning creativity. In addition, the relationship between the learning model and reflective thinking skills varied according to the level of student learning creativity. The interaction analysis showed that students with higher levels of learning creativity tended to demonstrate better reflective thinking results in learning conditions using the MURDER model. Thus, the impact of implementing the MURDER learning model on reflective thinking is conditional and depends on the characteristics of student learning creativity.
