Abstract

Learning evaluation  is an important factors of learning success. The results of monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the 2013 curriculum at the junior high school level in 2014 showed that one of the difficulties of educators in implementing the 2013 curriculum was assessment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs of teachers, produce characteristics, produce tools, find out the effectiveness of evaluation tools in composing description text with the taxonomy of Rebecca M. Valette and CLIL approach for grade VII junior high school students. The research method used in this study was the Research and Development research design (research and development) from Borg and Gall. The evaluation tools compiled description texts using Rebecca M. Valette's taxonomy and the CLIL approach were stated to be effective and feasible to assess aspects of the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of Indonesian language learning in seventh grade junior high schools, especially the basic competencies in composing description texts. This is because in this tool has been equipped with the aim of learning Indonesian language which includes aspects of language, culture, and communication in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. It was expected this evaluative instrument could  support  assessment of Indonesian language learning in 2013 curriculum  based on text.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah, 1) mendeskripsi bentuk pelanggaran tindak pengancaman muka positif, 2) mendeskripsi tindak pengancaman muka negatif pada tuturan teks media sosial berdasarkan teori Brown dan Levinson, 3) mendeskripsi strategi kesantunan dalam tuturan pada teks media sosial. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tuturan teks media sosial facebook dan twitter tahun 2018. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik catat. Tindak pengancaman muka positif pada teks media sosial facebook terdapat tiga subbidal, yaitu 1) ungkapan ketidaksetujuan, 2) ungkapan emosi, 3) ungkapan yang tidak sopan. Tindak pengancaman muka negatif pada teks media sosial facebook terdapat dua subbidal, yaitu 1) ungkapan peringatan, dan 2) ungkapan perasaan negatif. Tindak pengancaman muka positif pada teks media sosial twitter terdapat lima subbidal, 1) ungkapan ketidaksetujuan, 2) ungkapan emosi, 3) ungkapan yang tidak sopan, 4) ungkapan yang tidak kooperatif, dan 5) ungkapan yang menunjukan sebutan 2 data. Tindak pengancaman muka negatif pada teks media sosial twitter terdapat dua subbidal, yaitu 1) ungkapan peringatan, dan 2) ungkapan perasaan negatif. Strategi ketidaksantunan pada teks media sosial facebook dan twitter terdapat empat subbidal, yaitu 1) strategi tanpa basa-basi, 2) strategi kesantunan postif, 3) strategi kesantunan negatif, dan 4) strategi kesantunan tidak langsung. The purpose of this study is, 1) to describe the form of violation of positive face-threatening action and negative face-to-face on social media text texts based on Brown and Levinson's theory; 2) to describe the politeness strategy in speech on social media texts. This research was conducted on social media text texts facebook and twitter in 2018. The method used is qualitative descriptive method. Technique of collecting data using technique note. There are four subbidal faces in facebook text media, namely 1) expression of disapproval, 2) emotional expression, 3) impolite expression. Adverse action on facebook social media text there are two subbidal, namely 1) warning expression, and 2) expression of negative feelings. There are five subbidials, 1) expression of non- negative on the text of social media twitter there are two subbidal, that is 1) warning expression, and 2) expression of negative feelings. Strategy is generally done to reduce the threat to the self-image of the speaker, respect it and to reduce the threat. The politeness strategy on the social media text facebook and twitter there are four subbidal, that is 1) the strategy of no-nonsense, 2) the positive politeness strategy, 3) the strategy negative politeness, and 4) indirect indirection strategy.

Abstract

Mass media, in its reporting, always bring out some social actors. The risen social actors always have influence on the mass media which publish them. It is common to have different news based on the mass media they are from. This study was made in order to find out the representation of social actors in Mediaindonesia.com and iNews.id based on Theo van Leeuwen?s exclusion strategy (suppression and backgrounding). Data sample was collected by observing the social actors? representation on both media, applying Simak Bebas Libat Cakap (Uninvolved Conversation Observation) technique on online (website/youtube.com) data and taking notes (copy-paste). Based on the analysis conducted during the 2019 presidential and vice presidential candidate pre-appointment period on July 10th to August 8th 2018, it was found out that Joko Widodo was still favored by the public to run for president in 2019, competing with Prabowo Subianto. It was evident from the news frequently published in mediaindonesia.com and iNews.id, either by suppression or backgrounding. Joko Widodo was being backgrounded by mediaindonesia.com by calling him ?Mantan walikota Solo?, ?mantan Gubernur DKI Jakarta?, or ?presiden?. On the other side, Prabowo Subiyanto was being backgrounded with ?Ketua Umum partai Gerindra?, ?mantan Danjen Kopassus? or ?mantan pangkostrad?. The forms of backgrounding that appears in the data were in accordance with the experiences of the social actors had as they were serving in particular institutions. It means the journey of the social actors in leading an institution take effect on the backgrounding that is being shown. Meanwhile, in suppression, the ownership of the media is the one giving influence instead. Mediaindonesia.com tended to take sides on Joko Widodo because its owner, Surya Paloh, was going to join coalition with him if he would run for the presidential election. On the other hand, iNews.id tended more to Prabowo Subianto considering the frequencies of the news being shown in the last month. Abstract

Abstrak Teks fabel merupakan salah satu jenis teks yang banyak mengandung pesan moral bagi pembaca. Hampir setiap cerita fabel memiliki nilai-nilai yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengembangan media pop-up book pada pembelajaran teks fabel untuk peserta didik SMP. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan sebuah produk prototipe media pop-up book bermuatan nilai budaya pesisir pada pembelajaran teks fabel. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain penelitian research and development (R&D). Prototipe media berdasarkan struktur isi meliputi bagian awal media pop-up book, lembar kegiatan peserta didik, bagian berbentuk tiga dimensi yang terdiri atas pengantar, materi teks fabel, teks fabel, serta berdasarkan struktur penyajian meliputi bentuk, kebahasaan, penulisan, tampilan/visual, dan grafika. Hasil penilaian ahli memeroleh skor 71,23 dengan kategori baik. Kata Kunci: fabel, pengembangan media pop-up book, nilai budaya pesisir. Fable text is one type of text that contains many moral messages for readers. Almost every fable story has values ??that can be applied in everyday life. The problem in this study is the development of pop-up book media in fable text learning for middle school students. The purpose of this study is to produce a pop-up book media prototype product containing coastal cultural values ??in fable text learning. The design of the study uses Research and Development (R&D). Media prototypes based on content structure include the initial part of the pop-up book media, student activity sheets, three-dimensional sections consisting of introductory material, fable text material, fable text, and based on the presentation structure including form, language, writing, display/visual, and graphics. The results of the expert assessment obtained a score of 71.23 in the good category.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the characteristics of the needs and development models on the “Wayang Banjaran Bima” Stories of Based on Drama Text with a Character Education for High School / Vocational School. The study is conducted by using research and development design. The enrichment book is developed by applying the feasibility aspects of it, book consisting of four aspects namely material, linguistic, presentation, and graphic. In addition, enrichment book products are arranged in accordance with the principles of preparation of enrichment books such as having conformity with educational goals, adjusting to the development of science, and developing the ability to reason. The draft enrichment book consists of the beginning, contents, and last. The enrichment book development of products are based on the characteristics of the students needs who expect the preparation of puppet story material based on drama texts and there is a character education content. The puppet story is developed in the form of a drama script text divided into six the Banjaran Bima plays, namely (1) Bima Bungkus, (2) Bale Sigala-gala, (3) Dewa Ruci, (4) Bima Suci, (5) Jagal Abilawa, and ( 6) Pandhu Swarga. The content of character education is inserted into the whole story in the conclusion section at the end story. With the content of character education students are expected to be able to understand the values contained in the puppet story and it can be applied in everyday life.

Abstract

Identifying learning of the information in explanatory text requires creativity in its implementation. One of the things that affect identifying learning of the information in explanatory text is the students’ reading intensity. Therefore, it takes the most effective learning method to be applied and the learning method chosen is the SQ3R method. The purpose of this study was to explain the effectiveness of identifying learning of information in explanatory text by using the SQ3R method based on the reading intensity of the XI grade students at Madrasah Aliyah. The method used in this study was an experimental research design with a quasi-experimental factorial. The sample of this research is students of class IX MAN 2 Kudus. The collection of data uses identifying learning of the explanatory text information and reading intensity test to determine high or low reading intensity. Non-test data collection uses observation and photo documentation. The results of this study were (1) The SQ3R learning method was effective in identifying information in explanatory text for class XI students of Madrasah Aliyah with an increase of 12.23, from an average of 66.51 to 78.74. This is evidenced by the sign value=0.000<0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of the experimental group pre-test post-test which is used the SQ3R learning method. Meanwhile, the ability to identify information in explanatory text to students with low reading intensity treated with the SQ3R method, and an average value is 67. Identifying Learning of the information in explanatory text based on reading intensity of the XI grade students at Madrasah Aliyah by using the SQ3R is an effective learning method. The result of this learning has increased by 12.23, from an average of 66.51 to 78.74. This is evidenced by the sign value=0.000<0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of the experimental group pretest posttest using the SQ3R learning method

Abstract

Emerging and spreading hate speech online was a growing phenomenon in social media on youtube. Najwa Shihab was a youtube channel that contains shows and comments on political issues in Indonesia, one of them was the 2019 presidential election campaign. The form of hate speech in comments in the Najwa Shihab Channels was forming grammatical construction and construction of the meaning of one hate speech with other utterances. The purpose of this study was to analyze the illocutionary speech acts on hate speech and to analyze hate speech based on the rule of law in Indonesia. The analysis resulted in hate speech on the Najwa Shihab youtube channel audience comments in the General Election campaign in the discourse of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2019. The approach that used in this study was a theoretical approach, namely a forensic linguistic approach by utilizing pragmatics for data analysis, and a methodological approach, namely a qualitative descriptive approach. The data on hate speech that was analyzed was a fragment of the audience's comments on two programs, namely Mata Najwa and Catatan Najwa. The results showed that there were nine forms of hate speech. Two forms of hate speech were considered to be the style of speech that was widely used by the public in delivering comments on social media. The forms of the speech were "Form of Hate Speech, Assertive Speech - Insult" and "Form of Hate Speech, Assertive Speech - Defamation". The existence of this form of speech can be a reference for the community to process opinions first before conveying it on social media. It's legally can be used as an offense in cases of hate speech.

Abstract

Learning to write short-story text expects the learners to capable of explaining a process of certain phenomenon occurrence. Therefore, an appropriate learning model is needed based on the learners’ cognitive styles. This research explained the effectiveness of short-story text learning with the CIRC model based on the eleventh graders’ cognitive styles. The research design was a one-group pretest-posttest. The sample was taken with purposive sampling. The instruments of data analysis techniques were validity and reliability tests. The samples were examined with normality and homogeneity tests. The final data analysis was a t-test to determine the effectiveness comparison of the cognitive style-based short-story writing learning. The findings showed the average score of FD-styled learners was 82.42, 79.13 for the moderate-styled learners, and 86.48 for FI-styled learners. Theoretically, the findings could be implemented to enrich the educational research and knowledge of writing short-story text.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan kebutuhan peserta didik dan pendidik terhadap buku pengayaan membaca teks berita bohong bidang SARA; (2) menyusun prototipe buku pengayaan membaca teks berita bohong bidang SARA; (3) memaparkan hasil penilaian ahli terhadap prototipe buku pengayaan membaca teks berita bohong bidang SARA; (4) melakukan perbaikan buku pengayaan membaca teks berita bohong bidang SARA. Desain penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan langkah penelitian yaitu (1) potensi dan masalah; (2) pengumpulan data; (3) desain produk; (4) validasi desain; (5) revisi desain. Data dalam penelitian ini meliputi data kebutuhan peserta didik dan pendidik dan data validasi prototipe. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah peserta didik dan pendidik Sekolah Menengah Pertama kelas VIII. Hasil penelitian ini adalah (1) kebutuhan peserta didik kelas VIII dan pendidik SMP terhadap buku pengayaan membaca teks berita bohong bidang SARA; (2) prototipe buku pengayaan membaca teks berita bohong bidang SARA; (3) penilaian ahli terhadap prototipe buku pengayaan membaca teks berita bohong bidang SARA; dan (4) perbaikan prototipe buku pengayaan membaca teks berita bohong bidang SARA. Abstract

Pemerolehan bahasa tulis produktif anak usia dini dapat dimulai dengan kegiatan menggambar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan motorik halus anak usia 2-4 tahun sebagai dasar pembentukan kemampuan membuat garis lurus dan garis lengkung dan kemampuan anak usia 2-4 tahun dalam membuat garis lurus dan garis lengkung. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dokumentasi karya anak berupa coretan-coretan di kertas, foto pada saat anak usia 2-4 tahun membuat coretan-coretan di kertas, dan catatan observasi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik rekam dan teknik catat. Data yang sudah didapatkan kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif.Teknik deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk menjelaskan dan menyimpulkan keterampilan motorik halus anak usia 2-4 tahun sebagai dasar pembentuk kemampuan membuat garis lurus dan garis lengkung dan kemampuan anak usia 2-4 tahun membuat garis lurus dan garis lengkung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 1) keterampilan motorik halus anak usia 2-4 tahun memberikan kontribusi terhadap kemampuan anak membuat garis lurus dan garis lengkung; 2) kemampuan anak usia 2-4 tahun dalam membuat garis lurus dan garis lengkung dari delapan subjek, sebagian besar subjek mengalami perkembangan, baik dari kreasi coretan. Hasil coretan maupun kemiripan dengan objek yang diacu. Language acquisition of productive writing, early childhood can be started with the draw. This study aims to describe the fine motor skills of children aged 2-4 years as the basis for the formation of the ability to make straight lines and curved lines and the ability of children aged 2-4 years in making straight lines and curved lines. the data used in this research work documentation in the form of strokes-strokes on paper, photograph at the time of 2-4 years of age children make strokes-strokes on the paper, and records of observations. The instruments used in this study i.e., observation and documentation. Data collection is done using the technique of recording and engineering noted. The data already obtained are then analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. A descriptive qualitative technique used to explain and deduce the influence of fine motor skills of children aged 2-4 years against the ability to make straight lines and curved lines and the ability of children ages 2-4 years to make straight lines and curved lines. The results of this study showed that 1) fine motor skills of children aged 2-4 years contributed to the child's ability to make straight lines and curved lines; 2) capabilities of children aged 2-4 years in making straight lines and curved lines of the eight subjects, the majority of subjects undergoing development, both from a creative strokes. The results of the stroke as well as similarities to the object that is referenced.
