Abstract

The achievement of high school graduates' competence is continuously improved by the government in Indonesia, one of which is by implementing the Minimum Competence Assessment. The main problem in its application is the limitations of similar problem models provided in classroom learning so that students are not accustomed to solving them. The purpose of this research is to produce mathematical reasoning questions using the Minimum Competence Assessment model for junior high school students that are valid, reliable, and have a potential impact. This research is development research with two stages of developing Tessmer’s model, namely: (1) Preliminary and (2) formative evaluation stage, which consists of self-evaluation, prototyping (expert reviews and small group), and field tests. The trial subjects of this study were 25 students of class VIII Bengkulu state junior high school 7 in Bengkulu City. The results of the study obtained questions that met valid criteria with an Aiken index each of which was more than 0.5. The questions meet reliable criteria with a count of more than 0.6 and are in the high category. The questions have a potential impact with sufficient students' selection abilities on average and students giving a good response of more than 50.00%. Abstract

Performance measurement regarding collaborative supply chain of fresh produces such as fruit and vegetables that combines vertical and horizontal collaboration structures is rarely found in the literature. Performance metrics in this lateral collaborative structure are useful for tracking and measuring the achievement of more comprehensive business goals that are not found in only vertical or horizontal structures. This research aims to explore and propose the best model for collaborative performance system (CPS) in the fresh produce supply chain (FPSC) and success factors in CPS implementation, including CPS metrics and matching collaborative individual performance (CIP) and supply chain performance (SCP). Papers from the last seventeen years including journal papers, working papers and conferences were selected in three steps. From 175 articles found in the first step, 63 articles matched the topic. In the third step, 48 articles were selected as important topics of discussion focused on the field of fresh products, with three classifications of collaboration structures and identifying CIP and SCP metrics which were then analyzed. Abstract

Background: Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a neurotrophin crucial for neuronal survival and differentiation, has emerged as a potential key player in sarcopenia development. This meta-analysis aimed to systematically evaluate the molecular mechanisms by which BDNF contributes to sarcopenia. Methods: A comprehensive search of PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases was conducted for studies published between 2018 and 2024 investigating the relationship between BDNF and sarcopenia at a molecular level. Studies were included if they met the following criteria: (1) examined BDNF signaling pathways in skeletal muscle; (2) assessed the impact of BDNF on muscle protein synthesis/degradation; (3) explored the role of BDNF in mitochondrial function and oxidative stress in muscle; and (4) investigated the influence of BDNF on muscle fiber type and neuromuscular junction integrity. Results: A total of 28 studies (n = 1,245 participants) met the inclusion criteria. The meta-analysis revealed that lower BDNF levels were significantly associated with: reduced muscle protein synthesis (SMD = -0.85, 95% CI: -1.12 to -0.58, p < 0.001); increased muscle protein degradation (SMD = 0.62, 95% CI: 0.35 to 0.89, p < 0.001); impaired mitochondrial function (SMD = -0.71, 95% CI: -0.98 to -0.44, p < 0.001); increased oxidative stress (SMD = 0.55, 95% CI: 0.28 to 0.82, p < 0.001); a shift towards fast-twitch muscle fibers (SMD = 0.48, 95% CI: 0.21 to 0.75, p = 0.001); and compromised neuromuscular junction integrity (SMD = -0.92, 95% CI: -1.21 to -0.63, p < 0.001). Conclusion: This meta-analysis provides compelling evidence that BDNF plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of sarcopenia through its multifaceted effects on muscle protein metabolism, mitochondrial function, oxidative stress, fiber type composition, and neuromuscular junction integrity.
