Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian buku teks Kemendikbud Matematika SMP kelas VIII edisi revisi 2017 Kurikulum 2013 pada materi Persamaan Garis Lurus dan Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel, ditinjau dari aspek kelayakan isi/materi dan aspek penyajian menurut standar BSNP. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Pendekatan yang digunakan merupakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan lembar penilaian buku teks berdasarkan standar BSNP dengan memperhatikan aspek kelayakan isi/materi dan aspek penyajian. Uji keabsahan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan Uji Kappa dengan bantuan SPSS untuk melihat kesepakatan antara dua orang penilai yaitu peneliti dan teman sejawat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perolehan rata-rata skor pada aspek kelayakan isi/materi sebesar 78,30% dengan kriteria baik dan perolehan rata-rata skor pada aspek penyajian sebesar 65,47% dengan kriteria baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku teks Kemendikbud Matematika SMP kelas VIII edisi revisi 2017 Kurikulum 2013 telah memenuhi standar aspek kelayakan isi/materi dan aspek penyajian menurut BSNP.Kata kunci: BSNP, Buku Teks, Aspek Kelayakan Isi/Materi, Aspek Penyajian

Abstract

Tujan penelitian untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model kooperatif tipe group investigation lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan metode ekspositori pada materi aritmatika kelas VII SMPN 3 Kota Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian yaitu eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest. Populasi penelitian adalah kelas VII, VII.5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII.4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian yaitu instrumen tes berupa soal subjektif. Analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-test dan perhitungan N Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan model pembelajaran group investigation terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen 46,84 dan kelas kontrol 30,37. Hasil perhitungan menggunakan SPSS dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% menunjukkan nilai sig. = dan diperoleh sehingga ditolak. Pada perhitungan N Gain didapat rata-rata N Gain pada kelas eksperimen yakni 0,43 dengan kategori sedang dan pada kelas kontrol 0,17 dengan kategori rendah, didapati bahwa angka kenaikan hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari angka kenaikan pada kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa dengan model group investigation lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar siswa dengan metode ekspositori.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis kesalahan serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab kesalahan yang dilakukan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika materi statistika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tes diagnostik dan wawancara diagnostik. Subjek penelitian ini ialah kelas VIII-C SMP Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu yang berjumlah 22 peserta didik. Tes diagnostik berupa tes tertulis yang terdiri dari 4 soal uraian yang telah valid berdasarkan pendapat ahli. Tes diagnostik diberikan kepada seluruh peserta didik, sedangkan wawancara dilakukan kepada peserta didik yang melakukan kesalahan saat menyelesaikan soal tes yang diberikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan peserta didik berupa kesalahan konsep dengan rata-rata 12%; kesalahan interpretasi bahasa dengan rata-rata 10%; kesalahan prosedur dengan rata-rata 3%; kesalahan berhitung dengan rata-rata 17%; dan 2) faktor penyebab yang dilakukan peserta didik sehingga melakukan kesalahan pada saat mengerjakan soal yang diberikan yaitu faktor internal meliputi kurang pemahaman konsep materi dan kurang teliti dalam mengerjakan soal. Abstract

This study aims to produce Problem-Based Learning student worksheets (LKPD-PBL) on statistical material on the ability to understand mathematical concepts for class VIII SMPN 17 Bengkulu City, which are valid and practical. The urgency of this study is based on the importance of enhancing students' ability to understand mathematical concepts. Preliminary observations indicate that many students struggle to deeply comprehend statistical concepts due to conventional teaching methods. Therefore, an innovation in teaching materials is needed to help students develop their conceptual understanding through the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach. This study was a Design Research (DR) using type development studies, consisting of level preliminary and level prototyping with flow formative evaluation, self-evaluation, one-to-one, expert review, small group, and field test. The study instrument consists of a validity questionnaire, a practicality questionnaire, and interviews. The study results showed that the development of LKPD-PBL was: 1) valid based on the results of revisions through the expert review and one-to-one stages regarding aspects of material, construction, language, and readability; 2) practical based on the results of revisions through the small group stage regarding ease, clarity, and usefulness.

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning is an important aspect of mathematics education that involves logical thinking, problem analysis, and drawing conclusions based on existing data. Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) connects mathematical concepts with real situations that train students' logical thinking so that reasoning skills tend to improve. Therefore, it is important to analyze the development of RME research on reasoning skills. This analysis presents a bibliometric analysis of the literature on RME-based learning to improve mathematical reasoning, using data from Google Scholar accessed through the Publish Or Perish software and analyzed with the help of VOSViewer software. Through keyword searches for "RME" and "Mathematical Reasoning", 167 relevant documents were analyzed based on performance analysis, citation metrics, co-words, and co- authorship networks. The analysis reveals that publications on RME-based learning to improve reasoning skills have increased recently, although from 2008 to 2016 it was less than 4 per year. Indonesia has made significant contributions to RME research, with many of its authors actively involved in this field. The analysis identifies recent trends in advancing reasoning skills, including exploring topics such as the use of technology, media integration, hybrid learning models, and various approaches in RME-based teaching. In addition, this analysis highlights the potential for further research on the use of student worksheets as a widely applied learning medium in RME-based education to improve mathematical reasoning.

Abstract

Purpose – Problem-solving is a key component in mathematics education, as emphasized by the NCTM. At SMAN 6 Kota Bengkulu, students’ performance in trigonometry remains low due to weak problem-solving skills and limited engagement. This study investigates the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, supported by mathematical literacy worksheets, on students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities. Methodology – A quasi-experimental design was employed using the Nonequivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The population consisted of all 10th-grade students at SMAN 6 Bengkulu. Two classes were selected: Class XJ as the experimental group, taught using the PBL model with literacy-based worksheets, and Class XI as the control group, taught using a Cooperative Learning model. Data were collected through a mathematical problem-solving test and analyzed using an independent t-test. Findings – Results showed a significant difference in performance, with t<sub>value</sub> = 3.713 > t<sub>critical</sub> = 1.673, indicating that the experimental group outperformed the control group in problem-solving ability. Novelty – This study offers a novel integration of PBL with mathematical literacy worksheets—an underexplored instructional approach in secondary trigonometry education. By combining content-specific literacy materials with a problem-based pedagogy, the study addresses a gap in research focused on enhancing higher-order thinking in mathematics. Significance – The findings provide empirical support for incorporating literacy-based, student-centered strategies in mathematics instruction. The study has implications for curriculum design aimed at improving problem-solving performance in similar educational contexts.

Abstract

The competency outcomes of Indonesian secondary school students, as measured by the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) over the past three years, remain suboptimal, particularly in mathematical proficiency. National data from 2023 indicate that less than 50% of students have achieved mastery in mathematical literacy, highlighting the need for improvements in classroom teaching and learning. A key factor in enhancing AKM implementation is the provision of practice test items, which necessitates that teachers develop the ability to design AKM-style questions to familiarise students with problem-solving strategies. This study aims to develop valid and reliable AKM-Numeracy reasoning test items, contextualised to Bengkulu for senior high school students, and to assess their impact on learning outcomes. Employing a development research approach, the study utilised the two-stage Tessmer model, comprising a preliminary stage and a formative evaluation stage that included self-evaluation, prototyping (expert reviews), and a field test. The large-scale trial involved students from three Senior High Schools or Madrasah Aliyah in Bengkulu City. Findings indicate that the contextualized AKM-Numeracy test items meet validity criteria based on expert evaluations and have the potential to enhance students' mathematical literacy skills. Student responses were highly favourable, suggesting that the incorporation of local contexts contributes to improved engagement with the test items contextualized. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for E-LKPD with an Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) focus as a learning aid in biology education, particularly for virus-related material at the phase E level of senior high school/madrasah aliyah. The research method used is descriptive with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews with a biology teacher and the distribution of observation sheets to 99 students from classes X E1, X E2, and X E3 at SMA N 2 Lubuk Basung. The results of this study, based on the teacher's interview, indicate that teachers use media such as PowerPoint and educational videos from YouTube in the learning process, but have never developed E-LKPD with an Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) focus in the learning process. From these findings, it can be concluded that there is a significant need to develop E-LKPD with an Emotional Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) focus on virus related material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran kesalahan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika materi pola bilangan, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebabnya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan tes diagnostik dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini ialah kelas VIII-A SMP Negeri 11 Kota Bengkulu yang berjumlah 32 peserta didik. Tes diagnostik berupa tes tertulis yang terdiri dari 6 soal uraian yang telah valid berdasarkan pendapat ahli. Tes diagnostik diberikan kepada seluruh peserta didik, sedangkan wawancara dilakukan kepada peserta didik yang melakukan kesalahan saat menyelesaikan soal tes yang diberikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Sebaran kesalahan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika materi pola bilangan yaitu kesalahan konsep dengan rata-rata 27,08%; kesalahan interpretasi bahasa dengan rata-rata 7,81%; kesalahan prosedur dengan rata-rata 71,35%; kesalahan berhitung dengan rata-rata 11,97%; dan 2) Faktor penyebab kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik pada saat mengerjakan soal yaitu peserta didik belum bisa menemukan konsep yang akan digunakan, peserta didik belum memahami konsep operasi dengan bilangan berpangkat, dan peserta didik kurang teliti dalam mengerjakan soal.

Abstract

The aims of this study are to: (1) know the basic concept of school-based management and all its components, (2) know how far the extent to which implications of Education Management in Education Quality Improvement, (3) know the implementation of schoolbased management in SMP Negeri 3 Pule Trenggalek in the year 2014/2015, (4) know the school-based management strategies in SMP Negeri 3 Pule Trenggalek in the year 2014/2015, (5) know the factors in which support the success of school-based management. The results of a school-based management review are: (1) The existence of the authority towards the school to carry out the management and continuously improve the quality by involving all members of groups who are associated directly with the school in the decision-making process in order to fulfill the school needs of quality improvement. (2) The implications of the presence of school-based management is to provide chances and opportunities for principals, teachers and students for educational innovation. (3) The school-based management implementation at SMP Negeri 3 Pule is based on the visions, missions and goals set. (4) The strategy that is implemented by the school include (a) a self-evaluation to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the school. (b) set the quality of indicators or targets to be achieved. (c) monitoring and evaluating the programs that have been planned in accordance with the funding to see the achievement of the visions, missions and goals. (5) The supporting factors of the success of school-based management are covering: (a) Leadership and management of good schools, (b) social conditions, economic and public appreciation of education, (c) the government support, and (d) professionalism.
