Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of TAI type cooperative learning models on student learning outcomes in the material of curved side space in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Pinyuh. The form of research used in this study is a real experimental research design with Randomized control group pretest posstest design. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1) the average student learning outcomes before being taught with conventional learning is 53.5 whereas with TeamAssisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning type is 45.73. So, before being taught conventional learning and cooperative learning the type of TAI is classified as moderate; 2) the average student learning outcomes after being taught with conventional learning is 69.25 while with cooperative learning the Team-Assisted Individualization (TAI) type is 78.28. So, after being taught conventional learning and TAI type cooperative learning it turns out that the average student learning outcomes are relatively high; 3) from calculations using the Mann-Whitney U test it was concluded that the 95% confidence level turned out to be that the learning outcomes of students who were given Team-Assisted Individualization (TAI) cooperative learning were better than those of students who were given conventional learning. The effect of the application of the Team-Assisted Individualization (TAI) type of cooperative learning to student learning outcomes in the Curved Side Space Building material in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Pinyuh is classified as moderate with an effect size value of 0.58.

Abstract

Nyatoh (palaqium obtusifolium Burck) is a type of tree that is also cultivated by the Indonesian community, however, until now, the use of good quality seedlings has been neglected so that the resulting stands have low productivity and quality. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the quality of real seedlings by means of maintenance such as fertilization, watering and weeding. This research was conducted from January to April 2020 at the BPDASHL Palu-Poso Tadulako University association. This study used a completely randomized design with 5 treatments, each treatment was repeated 10 times. the treatment of the ash rate for oil palm basket, namely: A0 = soil without AJKS, A1 = soil + 5 g AJKS/Polybag, A2 = Soil + 10 g AJKS, A3 = soil + 15 g AJKS/Polybag and A4 = soil + 20 g AJKS /polybag. The parameters observed were the increase in seedling height growth, stem diameter, number of leaves and seedling firmness. The results of this study indicate that the provision of palm oil ash has a significant effect on the increase in the growth of the observed parameters. The best application of palm oil basket ash is 20 g/polybag with a soil weight of 1.5 kg/polybag. the average increase in height growth was 4.21 cm, diameter growth was 2.00 mm, the number of leaves was 2.50 and the growth of seedlings was 7.82.Keyword: AJKS, Nytahoh (Palaquium obtusifolium Burck)

Abstract

This research aimed to discover the parental involvement from the mother in facilitating the language exposure to improve the learner’s speaking ability. This research was a case study and applied the procedure from Yin to design steps of this research: planning, designing, collecting, analyzing, and sharing. The researcher interviewed the learner’s mother using the interview guidelines and observed the daily activity. Therefore, the researcher discovered that using English in daily conversation, supporting the learner when using English during the daily conversation and teaching-learning process, using English during the teaching-learning process, providing media to support the learner, stimulating English to the learner, and assisting or monitoring the learner when using the media provided a good amount of language exposure for the learner to improve his speaking skill, especially his fluency and its function in transaction and interaction. These parental involvements worked in one unity like a chain reaction to build a language exposure that would expose the learner and improve the learner’s speaking.
