Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to see and analyze the readiness of teachers and students in the National Assessment. The research was conducted with a survey method through the distribution of google form questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the study group of students showed that 46.6% of students understood national assessment and 53.2% of students did not understand well about national assessment. This is due to the fact that the education unit has not yet disseminated the implementation of the national assessment which has three instruments including the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM), learning surveys and learning environment surveys. The results of the teacher group research stated that 75% of teachers understood national assessment and 25% of teachers did not understand national assessment. A national assessment is carried out to evaluate the input, process, and quality of teaching and learning in the classroom so as to improve the quality of Indonesian education. Keywords: analysis of the readiness of teachers; students; national assessment Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis kesiapan guru dan peserta didik dalam Asesmen Nasional. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran angket google form. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian kelompok peserta didik menujukkan bahwa 46,6% peserta didik memahami mengenai asesmen nasional dan 53,2% peserta didik belum memahami dengan baik mengenai asesmen nasional. Hal ini disebabkan karena satuan pendidikan terkait belum melakukan sosialisasi penerapan asesmen nasional yang memiliki tiga instrumen penilaian meliputi Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM), survey belajar, dan survey lingkungan belajar. Hasil penelitian kelompok guru menyatakan bahwa 75% guru memahami mengenai asesmen nasional dan 25% guru belum memahami mengenai asesmen nasional. Asesmen nasional dilakukan untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap input, proses, dan kualitas belajar-mengajar di kelas sehingga meningkatkan mutu pendidikan Indonesia. Kata kunci: analisis kesiapan guru; peserta didik; asesmen nasional

Abstract

Bonus demografi menjadi pilar peningkatan produktifitas negara sehingga dapat dimanfaatkan dengan baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelakan analisis terhadap kebutuhan dalam pengembangan bahan ajar pada topik korosi berbasis STEM-PjBL berbantu video pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik kuisioner terbuka dan tertutup. Hasil penelitian didapatkan guru dan siswa masih mengunakan bahan ajar konvensiaonal yang belum terintegrasi dengan pendekatan dan metode. Selain itu, bahan ajar tersebut belum mengunakan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Dengan demikan dapat diketahui bahwa secara keseluruhan masih diperlukan pengembangan buku ajar topik korosi yang berbasis pendekatan dan metode tertentu dengan terintegrasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of Instagram media on students' interest in learning group I and II cation analysis materials. The data collection method used qualitative analysis with a descriptive approach. The results of the media validation get an average score of 84.27%, so the media is very feasible to be used in this study. Respondents in this study were students who followed the @kimiafun2022 Instagram account and interacted in answering questions and responses on Instagram. The study results show that the Instagram application can effectively increase student interest in learning about group I and II cation analysis materials, which is considered problematic

Abstract

Initial understanding is the ability to build early based on experience and knowledge possessed by using grammar that is still relevant to new knowledge. This study aims to explore the experience and knowledge of students to determine the initial understanding of the reaction rates topic. The method used is a questionnaire as a research instrument. In total, 100 students from SMA in Malang, East Java were selected using the purposive sampling method. From these questions, the types of questions are grouped based on alternative answers and sub-material questions and include 3 levels of representation, namely macroscopic, sub-microscopic, and symbolic. Then students' answers are presented and then the students' initial abilities are described following the answers given by students. In teaching and learning activities, students often encounter concepts of knowledge that are constructed independently by students so that when new knowledge is given, there are often differences in understanding or differences in concepts with actual information. The quantitative findings show that in general students' understanding of concepts is 'good', especially on the basic concepts of the reaction rate topic. However, in several sub-materials such as reaction orders, reaction order graphs, and chemical reaction equations in the reaction rate concept topic, there are still conceptual errors experienced by students so improvements and emphasis on concepts are needed in some of these sub-materials so the percentage of correct answers from students is greater from the previous.

Abstract

Information and communication technology development demands a transformation of education, especially in fulfilling innovation in learning media. Learning media is an urgent means of teaching and learning chemistry. Students' skills can be developed by increasing motivation and collaboration through digital technology. This research aims to determine the effect of the integrated Instagram (IG) and TikTok with the PBL learning model on student learning outcomes in qualitative analysis courses. The research method used was a quasi-experimental research design with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. The sample used came from a 2nd-year undergraduate student, Department of Chemistry, the State University of Malang, which consisted of 4 classes, two control classes with 44 students and two experimental classes with 50 students. Data analysis used preliminary tests and hypothesis testing. The preliminary test of the research data showed that the data were not normally distributed, so the hypothesis test used the Mann-Whitney test. The results of the hypothesis test show the Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.021 (0.021<0.05), it can be concluded that the use of integrated IG and TikTok learning media with the PBL learning model can increase student learning outcomes of 2nd-year undergraduate students on qualitative analysis of cation

Abstract

Interactive learning media integrated with technology are needed to facilitate the explanation of abstract material, including elemental chemistry. The study aims to analyze the profile of interactive learning media-based digital literacy needs on elemental chemistry concepts in high school students. The research uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects of this study consisted of chemistry teachers and high school students from four sub-districts in Trenggalek Regency. Based on perspective of teachers and students, they need learning media that can help explain abstract material to be more communicative and interactive to increase learning effectiveness. The results of questionnaire answers show the application of interactive digital learning media based digital literacy from the teachers and students are 39% and 37%, respectively. The percentage shows that digital literacy-based learning media is still lacking. Furthermore, interactive learning media based on digital literacy could be developed to fulfill a need using specific criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the validity of the five-tier diagnostic instrument. Empirical validation tests were carried out to identify the items' difficulty level, the different power of the items, the percentage of distractor effectiveness, and test the validity and reliability of the items. The results show that the five-tier diagnostic test instrument is feasible and valid to use by looking at the test difficulty level, discriminating power, distractor effectiveness, item validity, empirical validity, and reliability test. The difficulty level of the questions is included in the average level of easy difficulty at Tier A and Tier R. In contrast, and the Multiple representatives are included in the medium level of difficulty. The average results at Tier A, Tier R, and Multiple Representative in the differential power test have sufficient differential power.

Abstract

In Era 4.0, the development of media and learning processes, such as using Instagram as a learning media, is required to make learning more meaningful. This is due to the fact that Instagram is a prominent social media network with over 400 million members. Learning models that can accommodate the skills required in the twenty-first century must be used to make learning more relevant. The discovery learning model is one of them. As a result, this study aims to evaluate the effect of using Instagram learning media on student learning outcomes using the discovery learning model on reaction rate material. A quasi-experimental design was used in this study, with an experimental class of 36 students and a control class of 36 students. This study employed ten multiple-choice questions in the pre-test and post-test to measure student learning outcomes. The N-Gain and Wilcoxon tests were then performed. The study findings demonstrate that employing Instagram learning media using the discovery learning model influences increasing student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Chemistry learning should be able to integrate contextual chemistry problems and present the sophistication of 21st-century learning technology. Social media, as a product of 21st-century technology, has the potential to be used as chemistry learning media. Therefore, this study aims to investigate students’ views toward the potential use of social media as chemistry learning media. The survey method involved 791 students. A total of 40 question items were developed and distributed online using a Google form to respondents. Based on the results of a survey conducted, it is known that respondents are accustomed to using Instagram and TikTok as the most frequently used social media. Other results reveal that most respondents have the same screen time, more than 4 hours daily. This screen time is used by respondents for entertainment and looking for news information on social media. With the length of screen time not used for this learning process, it can be a promising opportunity to utilize social media as a medium for learning chemistry. This study is expected to be a reference for developing social media-based chemistry learning to increase student motivation and achievement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) Kemampuan makroskopik-mikroskopik, makroskopik-simbolik dan mikroskopik-simbolik siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Karangan Trenggalek pada materi larutan penyangga (2) Kemampuan pemahaman siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Karangan Trenggalek terhadap materi larutan penyangga pada level makroskopik-mikroskopik, makroskopik-simbolik dan mikroskopik-simbolik. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal-soal pilihan ganda berbasis interkoneksi multipel representasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kemampuan representasi makroskopik-mikroskopik siswa pada materi larutan penyangga sebesar 57,61 persen (kriteria cukup), (2) kemampuan representasi makroskopik-simbolik siswa pada materi larutan penyangga sebesar 66,67 persen (kriteria tinggi), (3) kemampuan representasi mikroskopik-simbolik siswa pada materi larutan penyangga sebesar 55,61 persen (kriteria cukup), (4) kemampuan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi larutan penyangga pada representasi makroskopik-mikroskopik yaitu miskonsepsi sebesar 27,20 persen dan tidak paham sebesar 18,56 persen, (5) kemampuan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi larutan penyangga pada representasi makroskopik-simbolik yaitu miskonsepsi sebesar 13,62 persen dan tidak paham sebesar 20,69 persen dan (6) kemampuan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi larutan penyangga pada representasi mikroskopik-simbolik yaitu miskonsepsi sebesar 37,36 persen dan tidak paham sebesar 19,82 persen.
