Abstract

COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2 is an infectious disease. The spread of Covid-19 is not only influenced by specific factors of the pathogen, it is also influenced by population structure and population mobility. Population mobility contributes to the spread of infectious diseases. Diseases can move from one region to another through population mobility, which can pose a serious threat to global health. Baubau City has specific local characteristics, namely as an island and a transit port city for the surrounding islands. To investigate the risk factors for the occurrence of COVID-19 in Baubau City in relation to population mobility variables and population mobility flexibility policies. Data on confirmed cases of COVID-19 in 43 Kelurahan Baubau City were collected and identified from the Baubau City Health Office. This study uses descriptive analysis to describe the characteristics of the Covid-19 incident. Risk factors for population mobility and population mobility flexibility policies contribute to and have a relationship with the incidence of COVID-19 in Baubau City. When the pandemic has spread widely, it is important to understand the various measures to control human mobility and transmission of the ovid-19 virus by responding to and combining various public health scenarios.

Abstract

The online referral system (eReferral) is designed to improve waiting times and efficiency by standardizing information and online communication in the referral process. Online referral is the automation of the referral process in which appointments and other information regarding the outcome of a consultation are transferred between two or more healthcare providers. This study was designed to identify the implementation of online referrals at various levels of health care. This systematic review was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) statement. Of the 10 articles included in this review, 6 studies were conducted in the USA, 2 studies in Canada, and one each in the UK, and Saudi Arabia. The studies used a variety of designs, including Quasi-experimental (n=5), longitudinal (n=2), qualitative (n=1), and Research and Development (n=2). This study provides a clear picture of the use of an online referral system, starting from the work process, effectiveness, barriers, and development possibilities for a wider reach. This system is very helpful in easing the workload of specialist doctors and for patients who are referred users get the benefit of shorter waiting times/queues, making it possible to reduce medical costs further.

Abstract

This systematic review aims to describe what factors are related to the compliance of pregnant women in consuming Fe. To carry out this brief systematic review, related literature searches were carried out on several sources, primarily PubMed Medline and Google Scholar Journals. Then a search engine related to Fe Consumption is used to make the work more meaningful and intensive. Then, the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines are followed to carry out the work with care. Finally, the combined effect size was calculated using the review manager and the Compressive Meta-analysis software. A total of 9 studies from several developing countries were included in this study because they had fulfilled several adjusted requirements. In general, the factors related to the compliance of pregnant women in consuming Fe (iron) include place of residence, mother's education, husband's education, number of pregnancies, number of deliveries, knowledge of anemia, mother's occupation, husband's occupation, number of family members, early registration, household income, illness experienced, disease management, and first visit for antenatal care, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, and family support, husband's support, maternal age. The compliance of pregnant women obtained in studies that have been carried out in several countries in the world to consume Fe supplementation is lower than the recommendations of the world health organization. Therefore, healthcare professionals should focus on increasing adherence to Fe supplementation by providing the recommended number of ANC visits.

Abstract

The first of six Global Nutrition Targets for 2025 is to reduce child stunting, which is a crucial indicator in the second Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger. This systematic review was conducted based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) items. The search for relevant articles was conducted on five online databases, namely Google Scholar, PubMed, Wiley Online Library, Cochrane Library, and Science Direct. The search is performed on the Title and Abstract. All studies with evidence reporting on the implementation of educational models in stunting reduction and prevention efforts. Articles published from January 2015 to May 2021, written in English or Indonesian and published in peer reviewed journals. To assess the quality of the included studies, an assessment was conducted using the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP). The included studies were divided into three categories of poor, moderate, and good to assess their quality. The search yielded 17,666 articles; after removing articles that are duplicates, there are 9,625 articles left. Furthermore, 9,617 articles were issued after screening titles and abstracts which did not match the included themes, which were letters/reports/short communications/chapters. The final screening resulted in 6 articles that met the inclusion criteria. This study provides an overview of several educational models that can be applied to the community.

Abstract

Stunting, failure of growth to achieve linear growth potential, caused by suboptimal health and/or chronic malnutrition since and even before birth. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines stunting as a condition of very short body that exceeds a deficit of 2 SD below the median length or height. This study aims to analyze the risk factors that can affect the incidence of stunting in children under two years of age in the Mowila Health Center, South Konawe Regency. This research design uses an observational analytic study with a case-control approach. The number of samples was 94 people spread over in the Mowila Health Center, South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The instrument used is Anthropometry, Informed consent, questionnaire. Microtoise and Infantometer. The data were analyzed using the Che-Square statistical test with a significance value (p<0.05. 77.7% of the mother's age were between 20-35 years old, the mother's education level was mostly (54.2%) graduated from high school, the mother's occupation (91.5%) was a housewife. Risk factors for stunting in children under two years old showed that while in normal children the mother's education level (39.4%) was also low. OR value (1.93), families with sufficient income (69.6%) have normal nutritional status, while families with less income (56.3%) are stunted under five. OR value (0.339). Mother's education has no effect on the incidence of stunting in children under two years. family income have an effect on the incidence of stunting in children under two years old

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic or chronic disease in the form of a metabolic disorder, characterized by high blood sugar levels. So treatment can be done by regularly consuming foods and herbal medicines that contain high levels of antioxidants such as flavonoids, saponins, tannins and alkaloids. Cherry leaves (Muntingia calabura L) are a plant that contains antioxidants. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of giving boiled water from cherry leaves (Muntingia calabura L.) on reducing blood glucose levels in mice with diabetes mellitus. This type of research is a pre-experimental laboratory using a pretest and posttest control group research design. A total of 20 mice were selected using a purposive sampling technique which were then divided into 4 groups, namely positive control group, negative control, treatment 1 (young cherry leaves with a dose concentration of 5%) and treatment 2 (young cherry leaves with a dose concentration of 10%). Bivariate analysis was carried out using the ANOVA test with the LSD Post-Hoc follow-up test. The research results obtained showed that giving a decoction of young cherry leaves had a significant effect on reducing blood glucose levels (p<0.05), and there was a significant difference between treatment groups, namely P1 versus P2 (p<0.05). In conclusion, giving a 10% dose of cherry leaf decoction (Muntingia calabura L) was more effective in reducing blood glucose levels in a mouse model of diabetes mellitus.
