Abstract

Stunting is one of the nutritional problems that occurs in the world, especially in poor and developing countries, including Indonesia. Stunting can also be used as an indicator of child growth indicating chronic malnutrition. This study aims to analyze the predictors of stunting based on aspects of antenatal care and postnatal care. This research is a quantitative analytic study with a case-control study approach involving 90 mothers with children aged 24-59 months who live in the coastal area of Kolaka Regency. The data was processed using the SPSS application, and tested with the Odds Ratio (OR) test. If the LL-UL value does not contain a value of 1, it is considered significant. The predictor/independent variable showed that the risk factor for the history of zinc supplementation on the incidence had an OR value of 9,846 (3.717-26,083). This means that toddlers who consume zinc irregularly have a risk of 9.8 suffering from stunting. The risk factor for a history of helminthiasis on stunting has an OR value of 7.608 (2.981-19,4176,089), meaning that toddlers who have a history of worms are at risk of 7.6 times suffering from stunting. The risk factor for a history of exclusive breastfeeding for stunting has an OR value of 4.984 (2.028-12.253), meaning that toddlers who receive exclusive breastfeeding for less than 6 months have a 4.9 times risk of suffering from stunting. The incidence of stunting in toddlers in Kolaka Regency is influenced by exclusive breastfeeding, history of worms, history of zinc supplementation.

Abstract

Research Objectives is to determine the factors that influencethe incidence of malnutrition in Toddlers during the Covid-19 Pandemic in the working area of the Tawanga Health Center, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. This type of research is an observational analytic study withusing a cross sectional study design. The analysis used is univariate, bivariate and multivariate. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling with a sample size of 97 respondents. There is no effect between maternal education and the incidence of malnutrition in children under five(ρValue 0.596 >α = 0.05); There is an influence of mother's knowledge with the incidence of malnutrition in children under five (ρValue = 0.047 <α = 0.05); There is an influence of family income with the incidence of malnutrition in children under five(ρValue = 0.000 <α = 0.05); There is an influence of a history of infectious diseases affecting the incidence of malnutrition in children under five(ρValue = 0.016 <α = 0.05); There is an effect of parenting with the incidence of malnutrition in Toddlers (ρValue = 0.000 <α = 0.05); There is an effect of the number of family members with the incidence of malnutrition in children under five(ρValue = 0.001 <α = 0.05). The results of multivariate analysis showed that the most influential factors with the incidence of malnutrition include income with a significance value of Value 0.000, and the number of family members with a significance value of Value 0.051. There is an influence between knowledge, family income, mother's occupation, history of infectious diseases, parenting patterns and the number of family members with Malnutrition in Toddlers during the Covid-19 Pandemic in the working area of the Tawanga Health Center, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province so that Puskesmas as gate keeper needs to improve education through nutrition counseling programs, and maximize nutrition improvement programs with PMT for toddlers who have underweight nutritional status and increase early detection of groups at high risk of malnutrition.

Abstract

Stunting (low length- or height-for-age), in young children is the result of multiple circumstances and determinants, including antenatal, intra-uterine and postnatal malnutrition. Stunting in early life is associated with adverse functional consequences, including poor cognition and educational performance, low adult wages, lost productivity and, when accompanied by excessive weight gain later in childhood. This study aims to determine the risk factors for stunting in toddlers during the Covid 19 period at the Rumbia Health Center. This study is an analytic observational study using a Case Control Study design with a total sample of 82 (41 cases and 41 controls) using purposive sampling technique. This study involved toddlers aged 6-60 months in Rumbia District, Bombana Regency, which consisted of 4 Kelurahan and 1 Village. Analysis of research data was carried out using an odds ratio at a significant value of 0.05. Based on bivariate analysis of stunting in children under five, it was found that a history of infectious diarrheal disease with OR = 0.3 (95% CI: 0.1-1.0), acute respiratory tract infection with OR = 0.4 (CI 95 % :0,1-1,6). Birth weight, family income, mother's education level and infectious diarrheal diseases are factors related to the incidence of stunting in toddlers during the COVID-19 period, while the determinant factor for stunting in toddlers during the COVID-19 period is a history of suffering from diarrhea.

Abstract

COVID-19 or SARS-CoV-2 is an infectious disease. The spread of Covid-19 is not only influenced by specific factors of the pathogen, it is also influenced by population structure and population mobility. Population mobility contributes to the spread of infectious diseases. Diseases can move from one region to another through population mobility, which can pose a serious threat to global health. Baubau City has specific local characteristics, namely as an island and a transit port city for the surrounding islands. To investigate the risk factors for the occurrence of COVID-19 in Baubau City in relation to population mobility variables and population mobility flexibility policies. Data on confirmed cases of COVID-19 in 43 Kelurahan Baubau City were collected and identified from the Baubau City Health Office. This study uses descriptive analysis to describe the characteristics of the Covid-19 incident. Risk factors for population mobility and population mobility flexibility policies contribute to and have a relationship with the incidence of COVID-19 in Baubau City. When the pandemic has spread widely, it is important to understand the various measures to control human mobility and transmission of the ovid-19 virus by responding to and combining various public health scenarios.

Abstract

The online referral system (eReferral) is designed to improve waiting times and efficiency by standardizing information and online communication in the referral process. Online referral is the automation of the referral process in which appointments and other information regarding the outcome of a consultation are transferred between two or more healthcare providers. This study was designed to identify the implementation of online referrals at various levels of health care. This systematic review was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) statement. Of the 10 articles included in this review, 6 studies were conducted in the USA, 2 studies in Canada, and one each in the UK, and Saudi Arabia. The studies used a variety of designs, including Quasi-experimental (n=5), longitudinal (n=2), qualitative (n=1), and Research and Development (n=2). This study provides a clear picture of the use of an online referral system, starting from the work process, effectiveness, barriers, and development possibilities for a wider reach. This system is very helpful in easing the workload of specialist doctors and for patients who are referred users get the benefit of shorter waiting times/queues, making it possible to reduce medical costs further.
