Abstract

The environment provides a number for humans, one of which is providing clean water that can meet human needs. Earth as a place for human life provides 97.5 percent of water and the rest is land for living. Of the 97.5 percent figure, only 2.5 percent of the water has quality for human consumption. This means that the availability of clean water consumed by humans is very limited. In addition to this, there are many other factors that cause the availability of clean water to dwindle. For this reason, efforts are needed to reduce the clean water crisis. Researchers have formulated several strategies to address clean water in the Muara Angke area. Suggested strategic programs: Educate to increase awareness about clean water aims to provide the community with the importance of keeping the environment clean to help reduce and prevent the scarcity of clean water in the community, Ultrafiltration Technology which creates and provides water suitable for use for various daily household activities -days, Reverse Osmosis System to improve water quality with a reverse osmosis system, namely water filtration processing to neutralize tastes, odors and harmful substances, Pipeline systems related to the distribution of clean water to be distributed to every community settlement, Collaboration with Air Si Biru to obtain facilities and access to drinking water from Si Biru more easily and at a more affordable price, Integrated Marketing Communication which educates the message that the importance of clean water and the condition of clean water is limited in its availability in several areas of Indonesia waste, and CSR which will improve water quality which will later be processed into water that will be used by the community.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how companies trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange fared before and after M&A deals were made in the years 2018 through 2021. In this Study, we employed a comparable quantitative approach called "purposive sampling" to collect our data. There are seven suitable businesses to use as examples. Descriptive statistics, a normality test, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test were employed to analyze the data. There was no discernible change in the financial performance of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) before and after the announcement of mergers and acquisitions, as measured by three financial ratios: return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE), and debt to equity ratio (DER), for the period of 2018-2021. Several elements, according to the findings of this research, determine the ultimate fate of mergers and acquisitions. Investors should be aware that mergers and acquisitions do not always improve business efficiency.

Abstract

This article delves into the significance of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in education, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. MOOCs, accessible to all at no cost, have emerged as a vital solution for remote learning challenges. They offer flexibility, accessibility, and adaptability, enabling uninterrupted learning from home. MOOCs hold several advantages. They empower self-directed learning by accommodating varying schedules. Interaction and collaboration thrive through discussion forums and shared projects, fostering social learning. Lifelong learning is promoted through continuous skill enhancement. Digital literacy is honed, vital in a digital world. MOOCs facilitate affordable distance learning without relocation. They grant access to prestigious universities and offer certificates for career advancement. While transformative, MOOCs can't fully replace traditional education due to challenges like limited direct interaction. They should complement existing systems. In Indonesia, MOOCs can improve education accessibility, especially in remote areas. Yet, equitable quality and widespread internet access remain crucial concerns.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study and cluster of Jatropha germplasm belonging to University of Sriwijaya. This research was conducted from September 2007 until July 2008. The research used 14 accessions of Jatropha taken from some regions in Indonesia, namely: Komering, Palembang, Yogyakarta, Indralaya, ATP2, Pontianak, Lahat, Pagaralam, Curup, Lampung, Medan Aceh Besar, Pidi and Gorontalo. Accessions of Jatropha curcas L. were planted at Agro Techno Park (ATP) Bakung village, Indralaya Utara district Ogan Ilir, South Sumatera using Randomized Complete Block Design. RAPD analysis using 20 primers was done at RGCI (Research Group on Crop Improvement), Bogor Agricultural University. Dendrogram based on RAPD analysis produced five groups that were: the first group was Komering, Lahat, Pidi, Indralaya, Aceh Besar, Pontianak and Curup. The second group was Palembang and ATP2. The third group was Pagaralam, Gorontalo, and Medan. Lampung was included in to fourth group. The fifth group was Yogyakarta. Dendrogram from morphological marker had also five groups. First group was: Komering, Indralaya, Pontianak. Lahat, and Pagaralam. Second group was: Palembang, Lampung, Pidi, Medan, and ATP2. Third group was: Curup. Fourth group was: Yogyakarta and Gorontalo. Fifth group was: Aceh Besar. The difference of member from each groups between dendrogram using RAPD and morphological markers indicated that the bands resulted from RAPD did not have relation with characters observed. Abstract

Agronomic performance and heterosis effect of progeny are important criteria for selection of parental hybrid. Theagronomic performance evaluation of Jatropha progeny which was derived from crossing of some Jatropha accessions hasbeen carried out for those goals. The study was conducted at Agro Techno Park, Indralaya South Sumatra. The crossingcombinations were Pidie x Medan, Curup x Lampung, Pidie x Lampung, Lampung x Pidie, Curup x Medan, Indralaya xPontianak, Medan x Palembang, Curup x Pidie, and Jogya x Komering. Oil production, nitrate reductase enzyme activity, leaf chlorophyll content and relative plant growth rate were evaluated. The result showed that the relative plant growth ratecould be used as early detection parameter for yield potential. Progenies of Pontianak x Indralaya, Palembang x Indralayaand Pidie x Lampung were selected as promising hybrids based on high productivity and heterosis effect. Keywords: Jatropha curcas, heterosis, relative plant growth rate, nitrate reductase activity
