Abstract

Learning Arabic at Madrasah Aliyah in the city of Malang faces various difficulties, including: (1) Non-linearity in student education. Students from Islamic Junior High School (MTs) do not always continue their studies to Islamic Senior High School (MA) and similarly students from Junior High School (SMP) do not always continue their studies to Senior High School (SMA). (2) The second problem is the language competence of each student which is also an important thing in the Arabic learning process. This research is very important to do to find out the relationship between students' background and their learning ability. The two researchers used quantitative research to determine the effect of students' background and competence on the motivation to learn Arabic among Islamic Senior High School (MA) students in Malang. The results of this study are R = 0.317 R Table 0.113 which means it has a weak correlation and the results of multiple regression tests are obtained by chi square 0.100, which means that students' background (X1) and competence (X2) have an effect = 1.00% on motivation to learn Arabic in Indonesia among students of Islamic Senior High School Malang (Y). There are other factors that affect the motivation to learn Arabic in Madrasah Aliyah students except the academic background and proficiency of students by 99.00%, and this result is greater than the influence of background and language proficiency of students.

Abstract

Synonyms include cultural loads that stand in the background and surround the original text, and that culture and language have a close relationship, as culture is the body and language is its heart. However, when performing the translation process, the translator may be forced to fill some linguistic, stylistic or cultural gaps, in order to best communicate the content of the translated text to the recipient. This article aims to identify the difficulties that the translator faces in choosing the exact term during the translation process. This article uses a descriptive method for presenting data related to the topic. As for the data sources used, they were taken from some appropriate academic books and journals and are in line with this article. The results that I have communicated to indicate that the translation process is a more complex and difficult matter, and in this case the translator does not find the time at all, to refer to the dictionaries to know the exact opposite of the term he faces, but rather he must rely on his intuition and his mastery of the two languages to find an equivalent that helps the listeners to understand the translated speech.

Abstract

Translation theory is all choices and decisions based on the experiences of each translator, which are subjective and result from a training process. So, in this study the authors aimed to test the effectiveness of the song translation method in increasing vocabulary to develop speaking skills in students of SDN 1 Paciran. This research is included in the type of quantitative research. And based on data collection techniques, this research is classified as experimental research, namely pre-experimental design by comparing one group pre-test and post-test. The song used is the song Los Dol Deny Cak Nan whose lyrics have been translated into Arabic. The data obtained were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 26, so that researchers could find out how much influence the translation of songs had with the t-test. The results of this study indicate that translating songs in increasing vocabulary is very effective for developing the speaking skills of SDN 1 Paciran students, this is evidenced by the results of the paired sample test where sig. (2-tailed) shows the number 0.002.

Abstract

Digitalization in the 5.0 era indirectly requires educators to become promoters in the development of learning in an institution. The ease or the convenience of digitalization supported by smartphones really supports effective, innovative and fun learning. Therefore, in Independent Learning, it’s necessary to make efforts to develop Arabic language learning, i.e. fun, easy and habitual, as is carried out by the Intensive of Arabic Language Program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This qualitative research used a phenomological approach with the steps: Bracketing, Intuiting, Analyzing, and Describing. The results of this research; 1) Learning in the Digital Era can be done by designing textbooks that are equipped with applicable barcodes and application links. 2) Learning using smartphones becomes effective, innovative and fun. 3) Learning with digital devices can be done anywhere, not necessarily in the classroom. The novelty of this research is learning Arabic for non-Arab speakers by digitalizing learning to support the Indonesian government's independent learning program
