Abstract

Despite the increasing relevance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks in global finance, the role of Islamic legal instruments, particularly fatwas, in advancing sustainability remains underexplored. This study addresses this gap by conducting a bibliometric analysis of 580 scholarly publications from 2003 to 2025, focusing on fatwas related to ESG and sustainability. Using the Publish or Perish software and VOSviewer for data extraction and visualization, the research identifies key thematic clusters, leading institutions, collaborative networks, and geographic trends within the discourse. Results show four dominant clusters: ESG governance, Islamic financial instruments, green investment, and social sustainability. Malaysia emerges as the central hub for fatwa-based ESG practices, with institutions like IIUM and ISRA playing pivotal roles. However, the findings also highlight critical gaps, including the marginal treatment of social ESG dimensions, limited integration with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), regional concentration, and a lack of empirical validation. This study contributes to the fields of Islamic economics and business by framing fatwas not only as religious-legal tools but also as epistemic frameworks that shape ethical governance and sustainability practices. It offers a roadmap for future interdisciplinary research, policy innovation, and institutional development to bridge Islamic ethical principles with global ESG standards and practices.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to develop and preliminarily evaluate ImageStat EDU, an interactive digital image-based tool designed to support statistical visualization and learning, particularly in descriptive statistics, histogram interpretation, and introductory probability distributions.Method: The study employed a Research and Development approach using the ADDIE model. Product evaluation involved three expert validators representing mathematics/statistics content, instructional media and ICT, and pedagogy, followed by a small-scale implementation with 15 undergraduate mathematics education students enrolled in a statistics course. Data were collected using expert validation sheets, a user response questionnaire, and pretest–posttest assessments. Expert and student responses were analyzed descriptively, while changes in student performance were examined using a paired-sample t-test, a Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and Cohen’s.Findings: Expert evaluation showed substantial improvement following prototype revision, with the final overall evaluation reaching 96.67%. Students also reported high perceived practicality and usefulness, with an overall response of 92.00%. The mean score increased from 36.88 on the pretest to 65.17 on the posttest, with a large within-participant effect size ( ). Parametric and nonparametric analyses consistently indicated higher posttest performance. However, these findings represent preliminary changes within a small, uncontrolled sample and should not be interpreted as evidence of causal effectiveness.Significance: ImageStat EDU demonstrates the potential of using image-derived pixel data to connect visual information, numerical summaries, histograms, and distributional representations within an interactive statistics learning environment. The study provides preliminary evidence supporting further investigation of image-based statistical exploration in mathematics teacher education using larger and comparative research designs.

Abstract

Interactive learning media remain unevenly adopted in the compulsory Indonesian language course at the tertiary level, and existing Wizer.me research is confined to school settings and small development samples. This study quantifies the gap between students' perceptions of the media currently used and their perceptions of a proposed Project-Based Learning (PjBL) medium built on Wizer.me, and examines whether that gap varies by disciplinary cluster. A descriptive quantitative cross-sectional survey was administered to 384 first-semester students from six faculties, drawn from a population of approximately 9,600 through eligibility-based screening with proportional allocation by faculty. The instrument comprised 20 four-point Likert-scale items across two constructs, was validated by three experts (Content Validity Index 0.83), and was pilot tested (Cronbach's Alpha 0.89 and 0.92). Data were analyzed in SPSS 26.0 using means, standard deviations, class-interval categorization, a pooled-variance effect size, and thematic coding of open responses. Current media scored 2.15 (low) and the proposed medium 3.35 (very high), a gap of 1.20 with a very large effect size (d = 1.60). The gap widened to 1.56 among Engineering students and narrowed to 1.08 among Social and Political Sciences students. Five prioritized needs emerged: interactivity, multimedia integration, flexible access, collaboration, and real-time feedback. The novelty lies in showing that demand for interactive media is discipline-differentiated rather than uniform. The implication is that platform rollouts supporting SDG 4 targets 4.3, 4.4, and 4.7 should be sequenced by disciplinary cluster rather than deployed identically across faculties.

Abstract

Teenage girls are reluctant to take iron supplements, which makes it harder for the government to give them out. The coverage target is 25%, but North Sumatra only reached 19.96%, making it the fourth-lowest overall. The government hopes to reduce the number of such people by offering iron supplements to adolescent girls. The research conducted is a secondary research type of literature review. Literature Review is a series of activities related to the method of collecting literature, reading and recording and processing research materials . The method used is journal review. The articles used were research articles conducted in Indonesia regarding nutrition education for adolescents in an effort to prevent anaemia. The inclusion criteria for searching articles are: 1) Research articles published from 2018 to 2022, 2) Research articles in Indonesian language 3) Research articles can be downloaded in full text and free. Knowledge, attitude, education, and income are predisposing or risk factors contributing to adolescents' susceptibility to anemia. Factors such as information accessibility and infrastructure are examples of enabling factors. Parents, educators, and community leaders are factors that add weight or support to something
