Model Pembelajaran merupakan faktor penentu dalam keberhasilan suatu proses pembelajaran. Pemilihan model pembelajaran yang tepat sangat diperlukan agar tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran yang maksimal. Penggunaan model pembelajaran kontekstual (contextual teaching and learning) pada mata pelajaran IPA merupakan salah satu upaya untuk memaksimalkan tujuan pembelajaran IPA. Pada pembelajaran IPA, yang terjadi tidak hanya sekedar transfer ilmu dari guru ke peserta didik, namun yang terpenting adalah guru dapat merancang sebuah proses pembelajaran yang dapat menstimulus siswa agar mampu mengkonstruksi pengetahuan dari pengalaman masing-masing. Pembelajaran konstekstual hakikatnya adalah mengaitkan antara pengalaman yang diperoleh siswa dari lingkungannya dengan materi yang ada pada mata pelajaran IPA. Pada pembelajaran konstekstual, siswa dimotivasi untuk menemukan, sehingga pengetahuan dan kemampuan-kemampuan yang dicapai bukan merupakan hapalan dari serangkaian fakta-fakta tetapi merupakan hasil penemuan. Maka dari itu, melalui pembelajaran kontekstual akan tercipta pembelajaran IPA yang lebih bermakna. Kata kunci : pembelajaran bermakna, kontekstual, IPA

At the beginning of the establishment of the reading park it was intended as a means of reading for the community, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the reading garden no longer functions as it used to, there was a decrease in visits by people who initially visited the reading garden a lot. Based on observations, the decrease in the interest of reading garden visitors was caused by several things, namely 1) the design of the reading park location was not well organized; 2) A collection of reading gardens that are less varied and not updated; 3) Social restrictions imposed during the Covid-19 pandemic; and 4) the lack of understanding of the management of the reading park (Community for the Children of the Pond Village and Karang Taruna) regarding the management of an attractive reading park and in accordance with health protocol standards during the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, based on this problem, a solution was agreed upon to provide strengthening of the governance of the community reading garden for the Children's Community in the Pool Village and the Karang Taruna in the Pool Village as the manager of the "Melati" Community Reading Park in the Pool Village and make the reading garden a means of learning for children during the Covid period. -19.Keywords: Community Reading Gardens, Children's Learning Facilities, Covid-19

Through HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) based authentic learning and assessment assistance conducted at SDN 101766 Bandar Setia for class teachers, the results were obtained that the teachers could carry out HOTS-based authentic learning and assessment in Elementary Schools after obtaining material, training and mentoring from the service team. This mentoring activity was based on the results of preliminary observations at SDN 101766 Bandar Setia, that the teachers did not really understand the authentic HOTS-based learning and assessment and also still had difficulty in applying HOTS to learning. Furthermore, assistance was provided to SDN 101766 Bandar Setia teachers through workshops, training and mentoring activities. Activities carried out in three stages, namely: 1) Preparation; 2) Implementation; 3) Evaluation, and 4) Follow Up. The products produced through this activity are a Book Collection of RPP and HOTS-based Authentic Assessment, HOTS-based Authentic Assessment Handbook, Activity Videos, and Learning Videos.Keywords: authentic assessment, HOTS, competence.

This research was executed at SMK Sandhy Putra 2 Medan. The purpose of this research is to know how far the teacher's understanding of the competence of educators. Researchers use interviews and questionnaires to know the competence of professional teachers. Based on calculations, it is shown that the mean value of teacher competence data is 180.7. With the lowest 168 and the highest 195 so that the range of data is 27. Median data 182, the Modus is 182 and the standard deviation 8.0006. This research conducted in PGSD FIP Unimed to increase Higher Order Thinking Skills of PGSD students. Based on the research results, in the control class using the conventional method the average learning outcome 79.08 whereas with the model of Problem Based Learning learning with the scientific approach data average learning outcome is 83.03. Based on the calculation obtained Fhitung> Ftabel yaitu 6,53 > 2.67, then Ho is rejected and it can be concluded there are significant differences in implementation of Problem-based Learning model with scientific approach in increasing Higher Order Thinking Skills.Keywords: Higher Order Thinking Skilss, Problem-Based Learning, Scientific Approach

Abstrak Pendekatan keterampilan proses adalah pendekatan pembelajaran yang mengarah pada pengembangan kemampuan dasar untuk menemukan fakta dan konsep ataupun pengembangan sikap dan nilai melalui proses belajar mengajar yang telah mengaktifkan mahasiswa sehingga mampu menumbuhkan sejumlah keterampilan tertentu. Berdasarkan hasil pretest sebanyak 18 orang (69%) mahasiswa masih berada pada kategori “kurang” atau belum mencapai ketuntasan belajar minimal, dan 8 orang (31%) mahasiswa berada pada kategori “cukup”. Selanjutnya dilaksanakan pembelajaran IPA dengan pendekatan keterampilan proses, dan dilakukan observasi aktifitas mahasiswa dan diperoleh hasil, bahwa dari 8 aktifitas keterampilan proses yang mendominasi aktifitas mahasiswa selama proses pembelajaran adalah aktifitas mengamati (63,5%) dan menggunakan alat dan bahan (65,4%). Selanjutnya aktifitas merencanakan penelitian (44,2%) dan mengomunikasikan hasil penelitian (44,2%) berada pada tingkat 3 dan 4 teratas. Aktifitas lainnya hanya berkisar 7% s/d 25 % dari jumlah mahasiswa. Kata kunci: Keterampilan Proses, Konsep Dasar IPA

The purpose of this research is to produce a thematic monopoly media based on the two stay two stray cooperative learning model on the theme of 7 the beauty of diversity in my country that is suitable for grade IV students of SDN 104204 Sambirejo Timur on sub-theme 3 the beauty of unity and unity of my learning country 1. The research instrument consisted of observations, interviews and questionnaires. The results showed that the assessment of media experts in stage I by validator 1 received an average score of 4.05 in the good category, and validator 2 received an average score of 4.25 in the good category. While the validation of material experts in stage I by validator 1 gets an average score of 3.50 in the good category, and validator 2 gets an average score of 4.25 in the good category. Then the assessment of the media in stage II obtained by validator 1 gets an average score of 4.50 in the excellent category, and validator 2 gets an average score of 4.70 in the very good category. In the validation of material experts in stage II by validator 1 get an average score of 4.60 categories is very good, and validator 2 get an average score of 4.66, including very good category and worthy of testing without revision. Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that the thematic monopoly media based on the two stay two stray cooperative learning model on the theme of the beauty of diversity in my country is feasible for learning grade IV SDN 104204 Sambirejo Timur T.A 2019/2020.Keywords: educational game tools, thematic monopoly, grade IV elementary school.

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur aktivitas menulis mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan angket. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa aktivitas menulis mahasiswa dalam setiap proses pembelajaran masih rendah. Beberapa mahasiswa yang melakukan aktivitas menulis, sebagian besarnya menulis dengan cara memindahkan apa yang ada pada sumber informasi (buku, slide powerpoint, dll) ke buku catatan. Sangat sedikit mahasiswa yang melakukan aktivitas menulis dengan cara mengolah informasi yang diperoleh dan membangun pengetahuannya sendiri lalu dituliskan ke dalam buku catatan. This study aims to determine the ability of Elementary School Teacher Education students’ in mastering Higher Order Thinking Skills with Problem-Based Learning Model (PBM) which used to support Higher Order Thinking Skills problem-oriented situation. The method used in this research is the experimental method. Experiments were used to identify Higher Order Thinking Skills through the application of Problem-Based Learning Model (PBL) with scientific approach to Elementary School Teacher Education students’, Faculty of Education, State University of Medan, in the first semester of Study Year 2017/2018. The research design used was Pre-test and Post-test group because the observation was done 2 times before experiment (O1 / pre-test) and after experiment (O2 / post-test). Based on the results obtained, in the control class using the lecture method obtained by the data with the average learning outcomes 79.08 while with the model of Problem Based Learning with the Scientific Approach obtained by the average data learning outcome is 83.03. Based on the data, it is found that Fcount> Ftable is 6.53> 2.67 then Ho is rejected and it can be concluded that there are significant differences in the implementation of Problem-Based Learning model with scientific approach in increasing Higher Order Thinking Skills. The purpose of this research is to develop teaching materials using the discovery learning model to improve thematic learning outcomes in elementary schools. This research aims to develop thematic teaching materials based on the discovery learning model for fourth grade students of elementary school and to describe the feasibility of thematic teaching materials products based on the discovery learning model. This type of research is research and development (R&D). The development model used is the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation and Evaluate) model. The results of research on thematic teaching materials based on discovery learning are from the results of assessments carried out by media experts, material experts and students' responses during field trials. The results of the validation show that the overall score is 3.7 so that it is included in the "very good" category and the overall eligibility percentage is 93% so that it is included in the "very appropriate" category. Based on the above explanation, it can be concluded that the thematic teaching materials are based on discovery learning are suitable for learning for fourth grade students of elementary school.
