Abstract

This study aims to describe the procedures for habituating Qur’an reading at SDN 1 Jekulo, analyze its role in fostering students’ religius character, and identify several faktors that support and hinder its implementation. Religius character is an important component of education, particularly in efforts to develop students with noble morals and a strong attachment to Islamic values. The habituation of Qur’an reading is considered an effective method for instilling religius values from an early age. This study employed a descriptive approach with a clear research strategy. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the school principal, PAI teachers, and upper-grade students at SDN 1 Jekulo. The results show that the habituation of Qur’an reading is conducted routinely every morning before teaching and learning activities begin, with active guidance from teachers. This activity contributes to fostering students’ love for the Qur’an, improving discipline, and strengthening religius attitudes in daily life. Supporting faktors include school support and teacher involvement, while inhibiting faktors include the low motivation of some students and limited time for implementation.

Abstract

Scientific literacy is a fundamental competency in science education, however, the result of the 2022 PISA assessment indicates that the scientific literacy achievement of Indonesian students remains below the expected level, highlighting the need for more contextual and innovative learning approaches. One potential solution is the development of interactive teaching materials in the form of an electronic student worksheet (E-LKPD) based on the Science, Environment, Technology, and Society (SETS) framework, which integrates scientific concepts with environmental issues, technological advancements, and their impacts on society. This study aims to examine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the SETS-based E-LKPD in enhancing junior high school students’ scientific literacy. The research employed a research and development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The trial participants were seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Jember, with the research sample drawn from class VII E. Data were collected through expert validation, observations of learning implementation, student response questionnaires, and scientific literacy tests administered as pre-tests and post-tests. The findings demonstrate that the SETS-based E-LKPD is valid (95%), practical (95%), and effective in improving students’ scientific literacy (78%). Therefore, the SETS-based E-LKPD is considered suitable as an alternative instructional material to support the improvement of students’ scientific literacy. Abstract

For Indonesians, Arabic is a second language, so not all Indonesians understand and master Arabic. Therefore, if necessary, a translation from Arabic to Indonesia needs to be used as a forum for people who do not understand and master Arabic. This means that people are needed who can translate Arabic texts into Indonesian. In the process and steps of translation, various kinds of obstacles and problems must be found. Likewise, PBA STAI Yogyakarta students also experienced problems and obstacles when they tried to translate an Arabic text into Indonesian. Among the problems encountered by PBA STAI Yogyakarta students in the translation effort include linguistic problems that include the realms of morphology, syntax, and semantics. In addition, they also experience non-linguistic problems in the translation effort, namely the problem of the content and material of the text that is different from the translator's educational background and also the problem of conditions when translating a text.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology demands the strengthening of 21st-century skills, particularly computational thinking, including in non-formal education. This article describes the implementation and outcomes of a community service program involving game-based coding learning to enhance digital literacy and computational thinking skills among children of Indonesian migrant workers at Sanggar Belajar Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur. The program was conducted through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages using an interactive, gradual, and collaborative visual learning approach. Evaluation was carried out qualitatively through observation, interviews, and discussions. The results indicate increased learning motivation, active participation, and initial understanding of programming logic. The game-based approach helped reduce the perception that coding is difficult and abstract, while encouraging exploration and collaboration. Furthermore, the program positively contributed to psychosocial aspects, such as self-confidence and social interaction, indicating its potential for long-term benefits for the learners.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out about the transaction system in digital wallets (e-wallets) associated with the wadiah yad dhomanah contract in the study of muamalah fiqh. Whether the transaction is in accordance with the principles of Islamic finance so that it creates peace for Muslims in using the application.Digital payments are currently a public need along with the development of information technology in particular. This is evidenced by the non-cash payment innovation. This innovation in Indonesia was formally carried out by Bank Indonesia through the National Non-Cash Movement (GNNT) in 2014. This movement aims to increase public awareness of the use of non-cash instruments so that a community that uses cashless instruments is gradually formed (cashless). society). The technology cashless society clearly plays an important role in encouraging the consumption of Indonesia's middle class to be more consumptive. The presence of electronic money is one way to encourage people to become consumptive. The touch of technology in consumption through electronic money has provided a new color in interpreting consumption. Consumption does not only use its utility function to spend but also an identity function that needs to be fulfilled. Non-cash payment innovation in Indonesia continues to grow, along with the rise of financial technology (fintech) products in the form of digital wallets (e-wallets) such as Go-Pay, OVO, Dana, LinkAja, Paytren, and so on.

Abstract

This study explores the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) method in teaching English to children aged 5–7 years in kindergartens across Indonesia and Malaysia. A qualitative approach was adopted, incorporating observation, interviews, and document analysis to investigate how the CTL method enhances children’s English language proficiency. Teachers implemented hands on activities, including conversations, daily instructions, and engaging tasks such as singing, shared reading, and project-based activities. The approach involved providing children with English storybooks and videos, delivering materials engagingly and enjoyably, and emphasizing a student-centered learning environment. Key strategies employed by teachers included establishing interconnected meanings, promoting conceptual understanding through real-life relevance, fostering group collaboration, and facilitating knowledge transfer to new contexts. Results revealed that 50 children were proficient in English speaking before using the CTL method, while 75 exhibited limited proficiency. After implementing the CTL method, the number of proficient children increased to 95, while those with limited proficiency decreased to 30. These findings highlight the effectiveness of the CTL method in improving children’s English-speaking skills. The study concludes that employing the CTL method through a qualitative approach significantly enhances early childhood English proficiency by incorporating contextual, enjoyable, and relevant learning experiences aligned with young learners’ daily lives.
