Abstract

A purposive account of action must draw to propositional attitude states like intentions, beliefs, and desires as well as to motor representations, i.e., non-propositional forms that denote, among other things, action outcomes as specified kinematic features of bodily motions. It raises the puzzle of how these two distinct types of states successfully coordinate, especially in the automatic movements cases. By using a semi-systematic literature methodology, we examine this interface matter. First, we expand on the nature of intention and its functionality. Second, we characterize motor representations in explaining intentional action and raising the complex of automatic motions. The differences in representational format challenge the interface of theory. We argue that though the low-level motor lacks cognitively penetrable, it processes such perceptual abilities regarding knowledge-involving based on sensitivity. The notion is quite interesting when it's attached to the social realm. Consider one who 'reflexively' helps her neighbor by bringing her piano; after seeing that the neighbor is struggling enough to get it downstairs. The case goes to the issue of collective intentionality as the power of minds to be jointly directed at objects, states of affairs, matters of fact, values, or goals. The question is, what is the explanatory relevance of we-intentions? Is that possible that I have an alternative intention to the 'we' while still satisfying the we-intention? Should the intentions of 'I' and 'you' be deducible from the intentions of 'we'? In the last discussion, we suggest 'meaning' beside the self-referential as a hint for the case of collective intentionality.

Abstract

Intensity is the seriousness or frequency with which students carry out activities to obtain maximum results from a guidance and counseling service activity. Meanwhile, perception is a response or assessment that varies from a stimulus object and produces a response so that there will be different responses or assessments from students towards guidance and counseling services. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between the intensity of participating in guidance and counseling services and students' perceptions of guidance and counseling services. This type of research is quantitative correlational research. With a population of 212, the sample was taken using the stratified random sampling method. From this sampling method, there were a total sample of 47 students from classes X, XI and XII TJKT. The data obtained, namely the positive correlation between intensity and perception, was declared significant because the p-value was below 0.05, namely 0.013. Then the result of the product moment value of Pearson's r is 0.363. From these results, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between intensity and perception, but it is not close to a significance of 1%. So the relationship between intensity and perception will be closer and higher if the more often students participate in guidance and counseling service activities, the better the students' perception of guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

Character value development from an early age is an important foundation for shaping children's personality and social attitudes in the future. In the context of inclusive education, this effort becomes more complex due to the diversity of children's backgrounds and abilities. This study aims to identify the importance of character education in inclusive Early Childhood Education (ECE), the strategic role of teachers, the strategies employed, and the challenges encountered in its implementation. The focus of this research is on teachers' strategies in fostering character education within inclusive ECE settings. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews with four informants from each school, and documentation involving inclusive ECE teachers. The findings reveal that teachers implement various strategies, including role modeling, habituation through daily routines, positive reinforcement, the use of children's stories, role-playing activities, and collaboration with parents. However, the implementation of these strategies faces several challenges, such as differences in children's developmental levels, limited instructional time, and parents' lack of understanding regarding the importance of character education. The main finding of this study highlights the significance of employing appropriate strategies in inclusive character education. Therefore, synergy among teachers, schools, and families is essential to create a consistent and inclusive educational environment. This study is expected to serve as a reference for teachers in implementing character education strategies in inclusive early childhood education settings.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a prophetic value-based guidance and counseling module as a guidance and counseling medium to implement the program of the seven habits of great Indonesian children at the junior high school level. Although character-strengthening policies have been widely promoted, no guidance and counseling module has yet been specifically designed to integrate the recently launched Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children movement with prophetic values at the junior high school level; this gap constitutes the novelty of the present study. The research uses development research with the ADDIE model (Branch, 2009), which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were nine (n = 9) junior high school guidance and counseling teachers in Metro City representing State, religious-based, and public junior high schools, together with three experts in guidance and counseling, design, and language. Data were collected through validation and practicality questionnaires using a four-point Likert scale and analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques. The results show that the prophetic-based module obtained a very feasible category (mean = 3.62; 90.42%) in the aspects of content, design, and language, and a very practical category (mean = 3.58; 89.40%) for use by guidance and counseling teachers. This study concludes that prophetic-based guidance and counseling modules are suitable for use as practical guides in the implementation of character education through the Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children.

Abstract

Porang (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume), an Indonesian endemic species rich in glucomannan, is widely utilized in food industries for its health benefits. However, its traditional vegetative propagation through bulbils produces limited plants, necessitating an efficient in vitro multiplication system. This study aimed to optimize plant growth regulator combinations and bioreactor systems for enhanced shoot induction and elongation of A. muelleri. During the initiation and induction stages, combinations of thidiazuron (TDZ) with benzylaminopurine (BAP) or kinetin at concentrations ranging from 0 to 1.00 mg l⁻¹ were applied to solid MS media and observed for 8 weeks. The combination of TDZ 0.50 mg l⁻¹ + BAP 1.00 mg l⁻¹ produced the fastest shoot induction (32.34±2.52 days), while TDZ 0.75 mg l⁻¹ + BAP 0.75 mg l⁻¹ resulted in the highest shoot number (76.33±22.81 shoots explant⁻¹) and 100% shoot formation. TDZ combined with kinetin had no significant effect on induction parameters. For elongation, shoots induced from TDZ 0.75 mg l⁻¹ + BAP 0.75 mg l⁻¹ medium were cultured in two bioreactor systems: a Temporary Immersion System (TIS) and a Balloon Type Bubble Bioreactor (BTBB). The BTBB significantly outperformed the TIS, yielding 85.2±3.35 shoots explant⁻¹ with an average shoot length of 5.67±1.13 mm after 4 weeks. These results indicate that the synergistic use of TDZ and BAP, combined with the BTBB system, substantially improves in vitro shoot multiplication and elongation of porang, providing a reliable approach for its large-scale propagation and conservation.

Abstract

Abstract. Rindyaastuti R, Hapsati L, Wibowo AT. 2021. Analysis of morphological characteristics and phenetic relationship of ebony (Diospyros spp.) in Indonesia. Biodiversitas 22: 2738-2753. Diospyros L. (Ebenaceae) is an economically important genus that covers over 500 plant species. Members of this group are known to produce hard, dark, high-quality timbers known as ebony trees, while other members are known as persimmon trees. There is limited information on the morphological characters and phenetic relationship of this genus from Indonesian archipelago. In this work, we reported the phenetic clustering of 14 species of Indonesian Diospyros, based on plant habit, stem, leaves, and fruit characters, which was analysed using UPGMA and Jaccard similarity index. The phenetic dendrogram divided the 14 species of Diospyros into two main clusters which separating Subgen. Maba and Eudiospyros. Further, subgen. Maba was clustered into a single cluster while subgen. Eudiospyros was divided into 3 sub-clusters as sister groups. The clustering in Eudiospyros was supported by low SI and bootstrap value, demonstrating the high morphological variation of the subgenus. The sectional separation of Diospyros spp. was considered as paraphyletic. In general, our phenetic clustering exhibited suitability and relevancy with previous classification. Fruit size and trichomes are very important in this phenetic clustering, especially to form Eudiospyros subgenus. Fruit trichomes were also special characters related to biogeographical distribution following the Wallace line theory.
