Abstract

The logistics industry is increasingly operating within highly dynamic and uncertain environments driven by regulatory changes, rapid technological developments, market volatility, and global supply chain disruptions. These conditions have transformed logistics ecosystems into complex networks, particularly for third-party logistics (3PL) firms that must develop adaptive capabilities to remain competitive. This study examines the effect of Logistics Ecosystem Turbulence (LET) on Digital Logistics Agility (DLA) among third-party logistics (3PL) firms in West Java, Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, this study applies partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that LET has a positive and highly significant effect on DLA (? = 0.847, p < 0.001), with strong explanatory power (R² = 0.717; f² = 2.533). These findings demonstrate that environmental turbulence acts as a critical driver of digital logistics agility. The study contributes to the logistics and digital transformation literature by positioning ecosystem turbulence as a foundational antecedent of digital agility in emerging economies.

Abstract

Objective: This study examines the mediating role of customer trust in the relationship between Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Customer Retention within Indonesia's B2B logistics sector, specifically PT Pos Indonesia's enterprise segment, and explores implications for vocational education curriculum development in logistics programs. Method: Using a descriptive-verificative design, data were collected from 200 enterprise customers through a validated questionnaire using a 7-point semantic differential scale. CRM was measured by 13 indicators (communication, problem-solving, complaint handling), Customer Trust by 5 indicators (benevolence, integrity, competence), and Customer Retention by 4 indicators (renewal intention, switching resistance). Data analysis utilized PLS-SEM with bootstrapping (5,000 subsamples). CRM indicators were mapped against Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) competency standards. Results: CRM significantly enhances Customer Trust (β = 0.880, t = 68.850, p < 0.001) and Customer Retention (β = 0.702, t = 12.030, p < 0.001). Customer Trust positively influences retention (β = 0.245, t = 4.361, p < 0.001) and functions as a partial mediator (β = 0.215, t = 4.440, p < 0.001). The model explains 85.4% of variance in trust and 77.5% in retention. Novelty: This study uniquely bridges industry practice and educational theory by identifying specific CRM competencies, communication quality, collaborative problem-solving, and complaint handling, that should be systematically integrated into vocational education curricula, providing evidence-based recommendations for preparing future logistics professionals.

Abstract

This study investigates product differentiation strategies employed by Indonesian green Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through qualitative descriptive methodology. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with founder-owners of five green MSMEs in fashion and handicraft sectors across Java, analyzed using thematic coding (Braun & Clarke, 2006), SWOT-IFE/EFE evaluation, and QSPM prioritization. Findings revealed that effective differentiation requires holistic integration across Marketing Mix elements, characterized by three core dimensions: universal natural and upcycled material sourcing (100% adoption), premium pricing with 2 to 5 times markups, and export-oriented positioning with 70 to 90 percent international revenue. Strategic analysis positioned enterprises in the "Hold and Maintain" quadrant (IFE = 2.63; EFE = 2.55), suggesting selective growth. The study identifies three structural paradoxes constraining development: certification barriers, premium pricing traps excluding mass markets, and digital hesitancy limiting e-commerce engagement. Strategic priorities include Green Export Acceleration (TAS 2.60), National Standard Harmonization with Subsidized Certification (TAS 2.54), and Tiered Product Development (TAS 2.52). These findings extend differentiation theory (Porter, 1985; Barney, 1991) by demonstrating that resource constraints fundamentally alter differentiation mechanisms for green enterprises in emerging economies.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study investigates the transformative role of Meaning Reconstruction (MR) in mediating the relationship between Post-Purchase Dissonance (PPD) and Eudaimonic Well-Being (EWB) in the context of digital education service consumption in Indonesia. Methodology: This study employs a quantitative explanatory design using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Data were collected through web scraping from 500 publicly accessible posts on Twitter (X), Reddit, and TikTok discussing post-purchase experiences with digital education services in Indonesia (2020–2024). Computational text analysis using a fine-tuned IndoBERT model was applied to derive construct scores for PPD (X1–X3), MR (M1–M4), and EWB (Y1–Y4). Indicators were quantified using algorithmically normalized NLP-based semantic intensity scores ranging from 1 to 7, representing computational estimations of construct magnitude rather than self-reported NLP-based normalized semantic score (1–7) responses. Main Findings: Results confirm that PPD significantly influences MR (β=0.446, p<0.001) and MR strongly predicts EWB (β=0.481, p<0.001). The direct path PPD→EWB is significant (β=0.176, p<0.001), while the indirect effect via MR is also significant (β=0.214, t=8.248, p<0.001), with a Variance Accounted For (VAF) of 54.8%, indicating partial mediation. R²(MR)=0.199 and R²(EWB)=0.338. All measurement model criteria are satisfied: outer loadings >0.70, AVE >0.50, CR >0.70, and HTMT <0.85. Novelty/Originality of this study: Reconstruction as a critical transformative mechanism, reframing post-purchase dissonance from a purely negative outcome into a catalyst for consumer psychological growth. The use of computational text analysis (NLP + web scraping) as an alternative to conventional surveys further contributes methodological novelty.

Abstract

The startup sector's emphasis on the educational technology industry in Indonesia expanded, particularly during the pandemic. However, many educational technology players went bankrupt because they could not make their users reuse their products and services (continuance intention). This study aimed to analyze the influence of e-experience on continuance intention in the use of educational technology platforms, with e-trust and e-satisfaction as mediating variables. A quantitative method with a PLS-SEM approach was used to test the relationships between variables. Data were gathered from 300 respondents using a questionnaire as the research instrument. The respondents in this study were individuals utilizing educational technology, including students, teachers, and employees seeking skill enhancement. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS. The research results showed that e-experience had a direct influence on continuance intention, but its impact was relatively small. E-trust and e-satisfaction proved to be significant mediators in strengthening this relationship. E-Satisfaction had a stronger mediating influence compared to e-trust, affirming that user satisfaction was a key factor in driving the sustainability of educational technology usage. Moreover, the indirect effects through mediators were greater than the direct effects, indicating that user experience should be developed into trust and satisfaction to enhance user retention.

Abstract

Higher education institutions in developing countries face persistent challenges in enhancing institutional performance amid rapid digital transformation, yet the mechanisms through which organizational learning and knowledge management contribute to performance outcomes remain underexplored in the Indonesian context. This study aims to: (1) analyze the effect of the learning organization on knowledge management strategy; (2) examine the influence of knowledge management strategy on university performance; and (3) investigate the direct effect of the learning organization on university performance at universities in Eastern Priangan, Indonesia. A quantitative cross-sectional survey design was employed, involving 420 academic and administrative staff selected through purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with WarpPLS 7.0 software. The results demonstrate that the learning organization exerts a strong and significant positive effect on knowledge management strategy (β = 0.899, p < 0.001, R² = 0.807) and on university performance (β = 0.521, p < 0.001). Knowledge management strategy also significantly influences university performance (β = 0.412, p < 0.001), with the combined model explaining 75.6% of the variance in performance outcomes (R² = 0.756). These findings confirm that an organizational learning culture is a critical antecedent to the development of effective knowledge management systems, which, in turn, drive improvements in academic quality, research productivity, and institutional governance. This study enriches the learning organization literature in the Indonesian higher education context and provides practical implications for university leaders in designing sustainable institutional development strategies.
